  1. Thems are a bunch of freebies…loanees and devotees…end of

We put the scouse git in his place.

  2. CORKCELT on 1ST SEPTEMBER 2019 2:06 PM

Just waiting for Ron 67 to assess Jukien & Boli.

apologies for the late post but not long in having spent the afternoon in the’ keepers lounge’ in the north stand as the kerrydale was full , great atmosphere and pies were tasty at half time, and then moving on to keep the celebrations going,

thoughts , bold boli and jullien were magnificent today, my ‘pigs in a poke’ early assessment was based on performances as played , time will tell.

    HH

  3. IMO El Hamed performed as well at centre back as he did at full back.

Could be a very good signing. Lustig is a difficult man to replace.

    Bauer also looked solid. HH

  4. Go tell the Spartim on

Are we sure we actually won today ❓

Just watched Sportscene and I’m convinced

The Rainjurs won, according to the highlights anyway

    Hurtin hurtin huns 💪🏾🍀

  5. This team have not lost a domestic game that really matters for over 3 years. Lenny stuck to his guns and took the game to the Hun. It paid dividends as wee Mikey and Eddy combined to put us ahead. Jullien was colossal, Bitton every bit as good. Boli strolled it as the SMSM led assassination of him was made to look foolish. Ntcham was very classy when he came on. Edouard just too good for them.

As usual the Hun deserved at least two red cards, utter thugs.

Credit to the linesman for getting numerous very tight offside calls correct.

I hope we go and cement this result today with another two additions tomorrow.

  6. Rangers summer signings reminded me of a salesman at the Barras.

    “You don’t get 4 for a million

    You don’t get 5 for a million

    You don’t get 6 for a million

YOU GET 7 FOR A MILLION”

  7. As far as the ref today….

Mcgregor should have been booked early for bad foul [although unwritten rule is first bad challenge is free]

Ryan Jack should have had straight red for studs up on boli , no action by ref [retrospective action MUST take place]

Mcgregor should have been booked for dive in second half [which with earlier booking ‘could’ have ment red]

Jordan jones should recieve further ban on top of suspension after horrific red card lunge in injury on celtics new austrian full back.

Despite some howlers the ref was better than i had feared although 6 minutes injury time in the second half stank a bit of bias towards homeside needing a goal

  8. Superb result, not our slickest football, but enough to beat a team of has beens and never will bes.

The defence were immense collectively and individually. I’m a big fan of Elhamed already, but tell you what, I also like the look of Bauer. The build of Anthony (the Tank) Ralston but with much more pace and football ability. And a throw which can be be a new weapon in our armoury.

Forrest was not the main man today, I’m fine with that. Neither was Calmac or Christie but all contributed. As for not winning a 70/30 tackle, I’m ok with him keeping his limbs intact.

Many here and elsewhere praising Broony. Whereas I thought he was not so good. There ye go, fitba.

Feel for Craig Gordon, but Fraser Forster fills that goal. And his kicking is much improved.

  9. David 17 .. 7.52pm

    Another two signings ??

    Never happy :-)

I think this has been a terrific window but I also think we will get one more in the door

  10. Phyllis Dietrichson on

Haven’t checked in for a while – I think Johnny Hayes deserves a mention. He was the best non-Celtic player in the SPFL when he joined us, is happy to bide his time on the bench, yet always puts in a shift when he is called upon. Hail Hail.

  11. Ah Come on Ron my oul Flower ye can do better than that, they were brilliant, they have passed the test, Julien & Bolli are now official hun skelpers , come on just admit it and I might write a nice song about you.

p.s. I’m only teasing you, hope you had a great day.

Scrolling back lovely post about Brooney from Tobago Street, well said sir you should post more often.

  12. Phylis D 8.19pm

Exactly, we need players like Johnny ”match-winner” Hayes … as Neil said today it’s a team collective

  13. I’ve had to/Park Road

All good here. Just catching up after being out all day.

Always thought we would win today so thoroughly enjoyed the game. Didn’t have time to reflect though as it was straight on to Croke Park.

Dublin were comfortable in the first half but like the hurling final the red card was a game changer.

Thought we had a couple of good chances in last couple of minutes to win but the draw gives us a chance to regroup and try again in two weeks.

    Red card was deserved, btw.

  14. I see on newsnow that the poison is oozing out them. Sutton reporting one fan for a disgusting tweet about his daughter and Scott Brown was in an argument with a hun supporter leaving the game today. They are vile

  15. Have no doubts about it they played what is their best team today a came up mightily short. They thought they just had to turn up today and the points were in the bag. Reality must be hitting them like a sledgehammer.

I thought big Jullien was MOTM by a country mile and Boli was exceptional considering the slagging he has been taking from all quarters (guilty your Honour). If we can reproduce that defensive display in the EL we will have European football well beyond Christmas.

We have in Hatem a player who can play right back and central defence quite comfortably and Moritz looks the part. He can fair throw a ball and will perhaps be a Rory Delap for us with his throw-ins being as good as corners.

Bearing in mind we probably still have a couple of players likely to come in before the window shuts.

However, we need to sort out our scouting system and IMHO appoint a DoF. I would also, if possible, send Arzani back to Man City as I cannot see where he will be figuring in our plans.

All in all a great day at the office. The two weeks break should allow the new boys a chance to get acquainted with the team and one another.

You know sevco are in good hands when slippy G reckons that Flanagan was the only player worth his pay today 😂😂😂

  16. Europa League watch this weekend:

    Lazio 1 – 1 Roma

    Rennes 1 – 2 Nice

    Astra 3 – 2 Cluj (2 red card)

  17. One moan from today.

I really wish we could improve our corners and free kicks.

    RC continually over hits them.

Apart from that I am delighted

  18. I was guilty of knocking Celtic so I apologise and say up the Celts – and well done NFL! Wish Kerry had won today, but shows what team character can do.

  19. Bring him home Henrik1967…

If he landed with us tomorrow (unlikely) it would literally kill the Huns stone dead.

  20. Big Wavy 9.21pm

Don’t worry Neil Francis has already got Seethin Gerard’s number …

Seemingly Aribo had the world at his feet ?

    Don’t believe the Hun hype

  21. Surprised nobody has mentioned just how long they made us wait in the tunnel before kick off.

Gerrard and McCallister up to the oldest trick in the book..poor sportsmanship.

Some might say we are still waiting for them to turn up! …lol

  22. Accepted truisms from the last couple of weeks

1 Neil Lennon has no tactical ability. ✔️

2 Our defence is a weak link ✔️

3 Sevco have done better in the transfer window✔️

4 They have better squad depth than we do✔️

5 Neil has lost the players✔️

6 Our signing policy will cost us 9 in a row✔️

7 Brown and his legs are past it✔️

8 Johnston is a light weight against them ✔️

    9 Boli is a disastrous liability ✔️

10 Peter Lowell needs to be replaced✔️

I could go on, but it’s time to just get behind the team, the manager and the board.

  23. Really pleased for our amateur manager and our creaking captain.

Pleased for the fans who have had to listen to sh##e about…

    biscuit tins

    dodgy signings

    Leaky defence

How great Sevco are and how they got their 35 signings done early.

All pi#h, we know, but we need to listen to it and read it

It’s like the pre-season cup has finally ended.

Sevco have no top players ( maybe Tav if we’re being kind)

Watch Alfraydo’s 2 shots today and then imagine Eddie in same position.

I have said for years he will never be transferred for 7 figures…. He’s murder.

We now have a team nearing £150m….

Lastly, it will say that FF had little to do, but don’t under estimate the confidence having a keeper of that size and quality behing you does for a defender and team.

Happy international break to all of Scottish football… Regards Celtic.

  24. First chance I’ve had to sit doon for a minute today. We half poured.

Absolutely proud of our Bhoys today. A colossus team performance lead brilliantly by French Eddy, Broony and Julien. Assisted by El Mohammed, Bitton and Boli. Delighted to see them perform so well.

Neil got it bang on with his tactics.

I wasn’t at all apprehensive before the game as I always believed that if we turned up we’d win and we tend to turn up domestically when it matters. Brilliant performance. Brilliant goal by Eddy. And great to see wee Johnny get on the scoresheet and pump the Huns.

Back to the drawing board for the SMM.

I believe 9 will be ours.

  25. Fairhill Bhoy 9.40pm

Good to see you on… Mild Mannered Delgado posted this morning from Santa Pee on the way to Celts Well… stuff that Florida stuff, 2hrs Majorca in future … take care and stay safe …. it’s only a bit of wind :-)

  26. Thanks Corkcelt. Nice comment, it’s appreciated, but I don’t live in the cauldron. I think that makes it easier for me to be more rational and less emotional, not while the game is on though you understand.

  27. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

Got to say I thought Bitton was MOTM until he left the park, simply oozed class and strolled through that game, hope he’s back soon.

  28. Hello hello – but I take it – there was no meaning in the rangers tifo having a blood red colour up to its knees. The blood red coming from a green and white form!!

    I’ve just noticed!!
