All these journalists saying Julien was off side must have been watching the match with x ray goggles on. I can’t see where Helander is when the ball is played in – he’s somewhere between Julien and Edouard. If you can not see where the last defender is then I’m don’t know how you can be sure about an offside. Unless you have x ray goggles that is. McCoist and Rae asking for two pens yesterday was ridiculous.Morelos should have been booked for being a cheat.

Oh my head . . . Need to get some fresh air.
My overwhelming delight about winning is now being overtaken by why the hell were we so bad? Cup final day and we have 3-4 players on their game? Forster, Ajer, Hayes and Frimpong showed up. That’s it.
We all say none of their players would get into our first XI yet yesterday we were outplayed almost the entire game. Our midfield were outplayed from the first minute. How can so many good players be so poor at the same time? Hampden is a 2nd home to our players, we were supposed to be the ones who wouldn’t be nervous.
If it is so obvious to us that Morgan was incapable of holding the ball up and creating space, why can’t NL see it. If Griff and Edouard are on the bench, you have to assume they are fit to play a part. They should have been given a half each. Griff’s positional play is light years ahead of LMs.
I love winning and I honestly think we will beat them comprehensively in the league game. But something went badly wrong yesterday and that should not be overlooked.
An Dun on
We get El Hamed, Taylor/Boli, Edouard back and Elyounissi gets a few games in then I think we’ll walk it at Celtic Park.
Morgan up front was a re-run of the Johnson upfront mistake we made at Ibrox in Dec 2018.
Griffiths obviously has some work to do on training ground to convince Neil Lennon he’s our number 2 striker. January could see the end for Leigh if he doesn’t start contributing very soon. We need more than one striker.

Penalty and red card news I got as well as penalty saved and lost signal on 71 minutes. It was nearly 9:20 when I got the good news and watched the BT highlights on my iPad when we got home.
Poor performance or not the only thing that counts is that we won. We’ve battered the Huns in the past and lost so sweet revenge.
Really good, simple analysis. The kind of thing journalists used to do.
From the pictures, the most advanced body part appears to be an outstretched bare WHITE forearm.

It’s still an offside.
I don’t believe that an outstretched arm can play somebody onside. It has to be the shoulder. The picture taken from behind the goal seems to show Helander is just a little bit behind Julien.
The call is a lot closer than I originally believed but…. its still offside.
timaloy29 on
Celtic were extremely lucky yesterday. They managed to bring home the trophy despite receiving a massive wake up call.Sevco will test Celtic more than any team in Scotland if they cannot get a good system together. It seemed clear in the early stages that Brown & McGregor could cope well with their midfield and the back four battled well.
But they will get worn down if the ball keeps coming back. You fight really hard to win the ball and find a Celtic player but you get no relief. James Forrest was anonymous, Elyounoussi was rightly hooked at half time and Lewis Morgan will just not do.
Massive wake up call for January. We cannot go into a game of that importance with Lewis Morgan up front. He is not an option. If Griffiths and Bayo are behind him neither are they. Need to sign a striker in January. No ifs or buts.
