I’m not defending how poor we have been, but genuinely, you believe that?
Was it them who made Welsh miss from 5 yards? Kris Ajer scuff the follow up? Eddie miss an open goal? Mo take a heavy touch? Eddie take a terrible penalty? Griff sky it from a few yards out? A plethora of players in hoops make bad decisions in attacking positions?
Two really bad pieces of defending and 5 or 6 really good opportunities to score were the difference.
DENYING A GOAL OR AN OBVIOUS GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITY
Where a player denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by a handball offence the player is sent off wherever the offence occurs.
Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off.
A player, sent-off player, substitute or substituted player who enters the field of play without the required referee’s permission and interferes with play or an opponent and denies the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity is guilty of a sending-off offence
The following must be considered:
distance between the offence and the goal
general direction of the play
likelihood of keeping or gaining control of the ball
location and number of defenders

The club should attract itself. We shouldn’t be looking just to bring in a “name” with no coaching credentials that might be able to attract a certain type of player. Because those players will soon see through it once they do arrive.
Look at the difference between Chelsea under a “name” in Lampard and an actual coach in Tuchel.
Aribo was already on a yellow card for the challenge on Ajer.

We didn’t deserve to win. True. We should have at least been able to convert the second half chances into two goals to get us to extra time.
A penalty against Rangers. Unheard of. But it should have been two penalties. And two red cards, no attempt to play the ball denying obvious goal scoring opportunity.
Where to now. Major clearout and quality players needed. Not something I would have thought I’d be saying this time last year.
Disappointing season continues. Only remaining hope is that they don’t win the cup and don’t go undefeated in the league. But that may be forlorn.

Look at the head to heads since 2017.
We’ve gone from dominating and scoring 5 to losing regularly.
When coupled with the hun in Europe, there is little doubt they are way ahead of us.
To deny that, or blame luck or missed opportunities or any other excuse misses the point.
Failure to critically analyse ourselves is why we are here.
Puff pieces, such as we have read this week, really do us no favours.
Time for an appraisal of our situation. Without fear or favour, we must root out all who are more of a drain than a radiator.
I’d love Paul to write such a piece. However, that’ll never happen.

Shocking lack of direction, passes, fight. The Huns were on cruise control. Even if Edouard scores I had no belief (as did most of the team) that we’d equalise or they wouldn’t score again. There was more fight between the two of them for the penalty than there was with the rest of the team all that game. Ajeti on with 4 minutes to go while down 2-0 aye that’ll sort it.
Final two bug bears,we were gutless and could have played all day and not scored, how is McGregor now Dino Zoff? I could have played in goal for them today.
Lastly Madhun, cheat of the highest order, we should have had two penalties and countless free kicks which he ignored. The Hun who gave away the penalty should have seen red, clear goal scoring opportunity?
Finally I mean it this time, apart from Elyonussi who I think we should try and keep none of the other loan players should play again this season same goes for Broony he’ll be gone next season what’s the point?

No, but they don’t tend to have many players that constantly miss sitters; players that can’t take a penalty; a plethora of players that make bad decisions; players that can’t defend set-pieces…..
With that in mind, yes, we are far worse. The league table doesn’t lie and neither does the fact that we simply can’t beat them even when we play well.
Poor decision making on and off the field has really cost us.
Not being a Celtic Da here but sometimes in life there is a need to stop, reflect, refresh, start again. We should have done it a year ago. We didn’t. It is forced upon us now.

I think Griff coming back unfit and overweight after lockdown really threw Lennon’s preparations out.
We ended last season with a 3-5-2 with Griff up top with Eddie and we signed players to suit that system.
Once Lennon realized that we weren’t getting the Griff of last season, it threw Lennon a curveball and didn’t really know what line-up or formation to use – even in single games, let alone throughout the season.
From that point on, it was just one calamity after another – Bolingoli incident, Lennon’s Ferenvcaros comments etc…
