Instead of being angry and disappointed by the humiliation of being overtaken by a cash strapped zombie club can’t we just be happy for those who have been looking forward to this outcome?
It hasn’t been easy for them and there have been many twists and turns along the way but their wishes have finally come to fruition.

“For us, it’s disappointing that they’re not there,” Desmond told BBC Sport.
“But that was a decision by the various clubs, a decision by the various leagues and we accept those decisions.”
“Rangers is a great football club, it has a great history and it’s unfortunate that they have been relegated,” said the Irish businessman.
“We would certainly like to contest with them every week – we believe we’ve got a better team and a better management structure.
“Rangers is a fantastic football club, it is one of the greatest football clubs in Great Britain, we’ve got to acknowledge that. But we can only look after ourselves.”

‘Rangers are a fantastic club with a great history. They will, in not too long a time, be back in the SPL. I have no doubt about that.

JK has failed big time.
Plenty of possession along our 18 yard line. Shoite.
A lone striker who is not a striker and could not hit a barn door from 6 yards.
A right back who turns back more than Michael Jackson doing the moon walk.
JK claoss failure – pish show some passion.
Waits to 10 to 20 mins from time to make more changes when at that point we are oot.
JK is a clone of NFL both are/were pish.

‘Rangers are a fantastic club with a great history’. If that quote from Dermot Desmond is accurate (I’ve no reason to believe it’s not) then he should hang his head in shame. This is a club for the best part of 100 years had an OFFICIAL policy of not signing Catholics. Swap Catholics with Black men/Jews/Muslims/Gay there would be long and sustained outrage by the world, Catholics? Not so much. This was the club on it’s centenary in 1972 whose chairman proclaimed a protestant club for a protestant people.
Desmond must know all about this but still proclaimed ‘‘Rangers are a fantastic club with a great history’. If he were to say the were our closest rivals blah blah blah fair enough but he went way beyond that, disgraceful!

Contrary to popular belief, the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s apathy.
After what we’ve seen this season I wonder how the club reconnects with the fan base.
We’ve just watched a bunch of mercenaries run off with our cash. Most have ben a disgrace to what it means to represent Celtic.
Unfortunately the next bunch of mercenaries (including the manager) will be no different (hopefully they’ll perform better but they’ll all be looking for the ‘big move’).
This is modern football and i’m sure I’m not alone in feeling taken for a mug.

UEFA STATEMENT IN FULL
UEFA, the English Football Association and the Premier League, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and LaLiga, and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Lega Serie A have learned that a few English, Spanish and Italian clubs may be planning to announce their creation of a closed, so-called Super League.
If this were to happen, we wish to reiterate that we – UEFA, the English FA, RFEF, FIGC, the Premier League, LaLiga, Lega Serie A, but also FIFA and all our member associations – will remain united in our efforts to stop this cynical project, a project that is founded on the self-interest of a few clubs at a time when society needs solidarity more than ever.
We will consider all measures available to us, at all levels, both judicial and sporting in order to prevent this happening. Football is based on open competitions and sporting merit; it cannot be any other way.
As previously announced by FIFA and the six Federations, the clubs concerned will be banned from playing in any other competition at domestic, European or world level, and their players could be denied the opportunity to represent their national teams.
We thank those clubs in other countries, especially the French and German clubs, who have refused to sign up to this. We call on all lovers of football, supporters and politicians, to join us in fighting against such a project if it were to be announced.
This persistent self-interest of a few has been going on for too long.

Wouldn’t you agree that if you remove one of the ‘big two’ permanently from our game, Scottish football would ‘wither on the vine’?
The ‘big two’ account for 80% of all activity – 40% each. How would Scottish football survive on 60% – in short it wouldn’t in anything like it’s present form. The remaining ‘big one’ would clean-up for a time, in the same way we have done in the last ten years. However with no meaningful challenge anywhere on the horizon, interest in a monopoly product would wane, attendances would fall, most clubs would go part-time and sponsorship, TV contracts & other commercial activity would be diluted, or, in some cases, non-existent.
Those who have stakes in the ‘big two’ know this and would be dishonest not to acknowledge it.
If Celtic and the Ibrox club can maintain their mass & appeal in the medium term, then perhaps a move to a bigger and more lucrative environment will happen – but right now we are where we are – the ‘big two’ are necessary in order that Scottish football stays relevant.

I was shocked to see Edouard given responsibility to take the penalty. I have never seen him take a convincing penalty for Celtic. He does not strike the ball hard, he often places it at a convenient height for a goalkeeper, and he rarely places it close to the post. Against a keeper like McGregor, who saves a high percentage of penalties, he failed on all 3 counts. His “Panenka” against Craig Gordon was risky and fortunate. I would have much preferred the responsibility to have been handed to Griffiths, or Ajer, who showed Edouard how to do it with authority at the Cup Final earlier this season. Edouard’s limp effort was a disgrace to a professional football player.

MCPhail Bhoy………….. It was in a newspaper column and quoted last week in Newsnow Celtic.
Facts are Celtic didn’t deserve to loose that game on chances created

not sure just picking 1 stat is relevant
we also didnt deserve to lose the game on the niceness of our strip or the handsomeness of our fans
