P67’s blog today…
New dawn… Celtic supporters through thick and thin… well run club… build a statue to Peter (including halo)… rename Celtic Way Lawwell Way… rename main stand the Lawwell Stand… blah, blah.
Desmond and Lawwell long ago decided a strong ‘Rangers’ was good for business at any price. Apologists like JHB on here parroting that rationale last night.
Hit them where it hurts. Don’t renew. Don’t reward them for rehabilitating the toxic, cheating hun. Make it bad for business.
Well,my Crystal Ball before the game was bang on.
“If Edouarde is woken up from his slumbers.If Kenny can start passing the ball forward.If Christie can find new boots.If our big players turn up”.Which they did not.
Much has been said about the reasons we have been dire this season,Lenny,tactics,PL,DD,in fact everything,and everyone has been blamed and to a big extent yes they were a factor,but the real culprits were staring us right in the face yesterday.A squad of players who no longer care about the team they play for,and who have not for some time.A disgrace to the jerseys.I would not let many of them sully that jersey again.
Some fans too easily fooled.Elyanoussi turns up,every now and then,scores a couple of goals,and they are pleading for him to be given a contract,A talented waster.Mc Gregor,Christie,shadows of the players they were.
I read this morning,a lot of fans furious at the money for KT and Frimpong not been spent.Thank God,Laxalt and Kenny at around 10 million each,are whats on offer.A pair of duds.Dont get me started on Edouarde.Has been in a Coma all season.Not one should play again.If we had not been so quick to loan players out,we could have seen ,Connel,O’Connor,Hjelde,and a few others playing out the season.Just what has Soro done wrong,that non triers get selected before him.Thank God they are probably going .Another dunderhead,Bain.Kent hits a 20 yard shot ,straight at him,and he somehow,manages to parry it out to the only other Hun player in the box,Morelos,who should have buried it.WTF is he thinking.

I agree mate.to everybody apart from ourselves, the Celtic fans, we are a package.you cant have one without the other.
DD thought the package might open the door to the TV millions and some new fans.

The complacent hubris throughout our club this season has been thrown into sharp relief watching Kennedy’s interviews. P67’s famed cognitive dissonance on full display. Rabbits in the headlights as the full horror of their failures become impossible to ignore. Never to be forgotten through the annals of Celtic history. Well deserved.

The players’ attitude has been a scandal. But they’re rotten. Look at the recruitment, who drove it and why they did it in that way. Quality of player has collapsed since Rodgers first season, with 3-4 loannees regulars. Utter shambles, utter incompetence, utter failure.
Many of our Ex-Men – BBJ, Provan and Commons etc – exhorting us to splash the cash, as if that’ll buy success. Wish these experts would spare us the benefit of their executive expertise, which only foments discontent for their judas-like remuneration. As if we need any more speculative pain from wur ain kind, at this new nadir!!
We still have many good players and I actually don’t think we played poorly yesterday – but we sure lacked belief, conviction and fighting spirit. Too many have their heids, heart and feet already half-ways out the door.
The one and only signing we need to get 100% right is the coaching dept – one that unites the fractures in the squad – this will determine how the half-decent assets we already have are best deployed and managed:
Barkas, Bain, Jullien, Hendry, Hjelde
Connell, Soro, Turnbull, Robertson, McInroy, Dembele, Ntcham
Forrest, Ajeti, Mikey J…
And a transfer kitty of 40+Mill after Ajer, CalMac, Eddy, Ryan all move on to ‘greener’ pastures.
Know what? I’d suggest we buy Duffy and Laxalt right now as there are two good pros right there who walked into the wrong movie at the wrong time; and under a great coach, both will come back great again.
Feel this our rock bottom, and the only way is UP! HH

3 players Edouard, McGregor, and Rogic just 2 seasons ago under Rodgers magnificent matchwinners, at EPL prices easily 50-60 million and most EPL teams would have had their squads enhanced by all 3

I did say many reasons but I forgot about the recruitment side.Shocking.I will say this though,looking at the two full backs,Elyanoussi thats 30 million there alone,that could have been down the cludgie.We have to start finding new markets.We won’t pick up anything in the markets we are in now.
I am optimistic though,the broom really has swept the place clean,just the players now.We have a core,and a new manager,CEO,DOF,and scouting dept,should improve us no end.The money will be there.
I see Ivan Toney was actually up at Celtic Park,eager to sign,and eventually took the hint that they did not fancy him.I told everyone at the time,he waited 6 weeks on us,then gave up.

Diego Laxalt and JohnJo Kenny have a lot more in common than both playing badly in a crucial cup tie for Celtic. Summer and winter deadline days saw them sit suitcase packed, waiting to see where their next loan would take them. Unfortunately it was to the wrong club in Glasgow, even soft loan FC don’t do loanees anymore.
Cataclysmic ‘reinvestment’ of supporters and Arsenal money, sees players of this ilk roll up at Kerrydale Street too frequently lately. This pair, come from a long line of f…… /full backs who’ve had more loan spells than the credit union.
To me to you to me to you, can only really be done well by yon two comedian brothers. John Kennedy must have tossed a coin before the match and called heads for Laxalt with Tails coming on, ‘to stiffen us up’ at half time.
Not sure if Scott Brown has packed a bag yet, but seriously shows the state we’re in when a signed Aberdeen player is still leading the team out having made his bed and had the balls to blame Celtic for his decision? Shane Duffy was such a bad idea he doesn’t get near the squad, and quite frankly if Mohammed El Younoussi was anyways clinical he wouldn’t be out on loan with the Chuckle gang.

If Dave King had been in charge of us this season, he’d have struggled to better our current predicament, such is the complete incompetence of PL and the Board.
Even if you thought PL did a good job these last years (which I certainly don’t), the state he is leaving us in now is beyond belief. He inherited a club that had just enjoyed a run to Seville; he leaves a mess of epic proportions, with the coffers almost dry.
What a charlatan.

If every member of the first team squad was permanent and contracted, i would still expect any new manager worth his salt to effect a clear out on thescale that will happen anyway due to circumstances.

It appears that we’re writing off next season already such has been our tardiness to get our restructure under way.
If we’ve agreed a deal verbally with Howe then it’s about to go up in smoke after the EPL musical chairs sorts itself out after Jose Mourinho’s sacking this morning.
We’re in extremely poor shape and we’ve got the great desmondo in charge, the man that left Lennon in charge to show fans who was the boss.

King’s played blinder. He and his muckers played by the rules as they (don’t) apply to sevco; spent a medium amount of monies they don’t have and prodded to Celtic edifice that turned out to be merengue rather than fortress.
