Beale changed the game in our favor by bringing on Sands. Thanks Mick ! A lot of players to come and go in our team before Ange gets us to the level that he wants us to play.

Their penalty was a penalty. No ball contact, but caught the conveniently positioned Sakala leg.
Why the fugg a Pro defender like Carl slides in like that, with the game on a knife edge is a matter of concern.
So many heads not in the game today.
And yet we’re none the worse off, but shoulda been 12 clear if we hadn’t suddenly packed our pants.
iljasb on
I’ll certainly take a draw. rangers were generally poor but Celtic were poor too. It’s as if our players didn’t realize that however poor rangers are they will still give you little time on the ball, can score from set pieces and the odd flourish if you give them a chance. Our passing was terrible at times, even matched theirs. We should have made the substitutions at half time.
I won’t pretend to read JJ’s mind but it’s fair to say that he was really poor in everything he did. I don’t think he won a tackle. Completely lacking his usual vim and vigor.
Have to say Calmac really did not exert any influence in the midfileld. It took Mooy to gain a bit more control of that.
I think it’s a bit unfair to give GG 15 minutes here and there. He needs time to get into the game and for other players to realize there is a different kind of opportunity up front. But it was GG that created Kyogo’s goal out of nothing with his desire to contribute. I thought Kyogo was really poor but in the end he did score.
Thought A. Johnson was good. Just why isn’t Bernabei playing at left back?

Please Ange:
No Forrest in OF games. Disappears.

TURKEYBHOY – your line-up had JJ who’s either under the weather, or under the impression his big payday transfer is all but sealed; he should have been nowhere near the pitch either way.
I thought AJ struggled with the atmos and pace early on and didnt link up with the MIA Jamesy F, but Alastair came onto a decent enough debut at a feral Greyskull.
Daizen worked his wee nads off every second he was on the pitch. Cam is a bear of a bloke.

Would have taken a point before the game today, so reasonably
happy.
We certainly lost our momentum after a decent first half, but the
hun pushed us further up the park second half, and Starcelt who
I thought was winning most tackles, headers etc, couldn’t get the
ball away quick enough, being caught in possession multiple
times.
Jura was a mile off it today, think he needs to get his future sorted
quickly.
CCV …Just wow ! what a rock.

Very much like the 1-1 last April at CP. We got the point we needed. A good day.

That was a terrific result under very difficult conditions. One full-back making his debut and one just off the plane after being gone a month. Hostile crowd on the players backs for the duration of the game. Somehow the bhoys managed to dig in and come out with our 9 point lead intact. Couldn’t be more proud of this group of players. CCV and Starfelt were immense. Our bench made the difference, especially Mooy – this guy looks like a steal. Well done Ange on making the changes that got us a goal. Leaving 2 through the middle was a masterstroke.
This will feel like a defeat for thems. Totally deflated after putting in what was probably their strongest performance of the season in a must win game.

I didn`t see any of the game but it would seem that we didn`t play well, deserved to lose but also deserved a penalty. For our finale, we sickened the Huns with a typically late point saver.
Whilst I would have prefereed to beat them 7-1,I think I can accept all of the above.

The 5 subs means managers can sometimes afford to get the starting team wrong.
As bad as we were at the start of the second half, our bench always gave me confidence, albeit Ange tends to make them later than I like to see them.
There’s no arguing with 1 league defeat in 18 months though.
Both hands @ head height right in front of the hun goal.
Incredulous decision.
Not really.
Banana Republic of Scotland/SKY/Record/Sun.
It’s the fact that they are so selective in re-running Offside calls, those that are obvious get shown but those not don’t. I mean in a pro Celtic or against Celtic capacity.
I meant to say that AL JOHNSTON had a decent game for his Debut.
The Huns must be spewing as they had the best of the 2nd half and werent good enough to close THE GAP !

Good afternoon from a sunny North Staffs – relief would be my initial emotion after the game but when they get a pen when there’s no contact and we don’t for a blatant hand ball – emotion turns to anger.

Bad day at the office – Ange made a few strange calls today.

Juranovic?

Moisey17 on
Delighted with a point but TBH could easily have lost that today which is honestly ridiculous because they are very poor.
Without playing especially well we bossed the first quarter and the goal had them looking at their shoes. They were there for a doing but our scrappy play gave them oxygen and eventually goals which if your honest we couldn’t complain about. I doubt I’ve seen us give the ball away so easily so many times – the one touch stuff was poor and so many time we gave the ball away under no pressure.
Lots of average performances from players and Ang will have learned a lesson about JF at Ibrox. JJ was simply awful and I really like him and O’Riley perhaps needs a shot on the bench. Special mention for AJ who in the circumstances stood up very well.
We could have buried them mentally today and while we are clear favourites we gave them air today and that’s a little irritating.

Forrest has made a phenomenal contribution over the past 12 years, but he’s not GG’s player he once was. I can’t understand why he started ahead of Abada and Jota – unless they were ill. By all means him at home to Motherwell, Hibs, Ross County etc, but away to Sevco? Never.

Forrest’s starts have been few and far between. I was sceptical on his contract award but he’s done a job for us this season – as a sub, or starting at CP.
To start him at Ibrox ahead of Jota and Abada was strange. And imo it didn’t work.
James can’t be a scapegoat though because there were other lads who played worse or at the same level.
CCV, Maeda and Johnson were my top bhoys today. Starlfelt would have got a pass too where it not for his rash and unnecessary tackle for the pen. Stand up next time, Carl. But some great clearances from him today. He reads the game quite well.
I think we’d have won that game had Taylor not got injured.
