    Finally, Sutton couldn’t resist taking a light-hearted dig at Todd Cantwell, a player who has clashed with the pundit in the past. The quip “Won’t be much movement on Tik Tok tonight…” was a cheeky reference to Cantwell’s known affinity for the social media platform, and perhaps a comment on what Sutton might have perceived as a lacklustre performance.

    An incredible win for Celtic today. Cal Mac, Maeda, Hart, O’Riley, Kyogo and Johnstone carried us to victory. Liam Scales stepped up to the plate as the game progressed and the others made invaluable contributions to the victory. Brendan is a great manager. I secretly feared for us today but when I heard his pre match interview I started to feel confident. As the first half progressed the Sevco players looked bemused because the procession they had believed was about to happen wasn’t actually taking place. The Celtic players were putting up resistance, were pressing their defence and forcing them to play long balls which Joe Hart was dealing with or which were running out of play. Callum was conducting play in the middle of the park and coaching our newbies throughout the game. Absolutely heroic Bhoys.

     

     

    I loved Brendan’s interview after the game too. He told the players of the difficulties they would face at Ibrox and that they would have to play like men. I believe that, after a few early scares, they did that to a man. The substitutes too. Onwards and upwards Bhoys. Kris Boyd effectively conceded the League live on telly today.

     

     

    I’m a happy, happy Tim tonight.

     

     

    Over on FF they’re demanding that Beale be sacked as soon as possible. Most want him out by midnight tonight but one guy demanded that he be sacked before he finished his bottle of beer. 😂

    Por cierto – what a group of early twenty somethings going into that hate filled pit, out of form etc needed was to be able to look at their manager and gain confidence. Whatever else about Rodgers, he can do that. His record speaks for itself. I was personally uplifted confidence wise when he spoke during the week about knowing how to win.

     

     

    He deserves massive credit for today’s result.

     

     

    I can’t wait to see a first pick back four and Hatate available again.

     

     

    Holm looks good. If palma and Bernardo are decent then all of a sudden we have options again.

     

     

    Today was pivotal. Extended the league lead and won back the fans.

     

     

    Flip side of the coin for the other mob. Lost the confidence completely,lost the fans, rookie manager, emporers new clothes signings.

     

     

    And the sin is shining!

    That’s right up there with the best and most important victories against der hun I can remember. The negativity surrounding this match (I include myself) was reaching the ridiculous.Every one of us forgot just how magnificent a manager we have in Brendan.He knew exactly what was needed and executed it perfectly.

    Oh dear god ,what I prayed for not to happen looks like it has . A midfield that couldn’t tackle a fish supper . Players who should have been playing are not . Obviously our near the wire transfers are not ready . I fear a battering

    While i would rather focus on our squad positives rather than the huns, this is a point well made that is ignored by the smsm.

     

     

    These two are lauded as top signings that boss the midfield, even some on here help perpetuate that myth. But if you watch back todays game, or any big game they’ve played in, there are gash. Flicks and back heels constantly going astray, passes too short, no telling theough balls, losing most 50/50 challenges…they are mince. Too slow, too weak, all mouth, no end product. A real case of the Emperors New Clothes….when you ignore the baseless hype, there’s nothing….

     

     

    They have pkayed in every big game since they signed, and have failed to deliver every time…hope they stay for years😆😆

    This is not just after the event, as I texted this to my daughter before the game, when the team was announced. The team selection was really good management, in my opinion, for the game itself but also for the medium and longer term. BR improves players. It is not just all about replacing players with other, better players. He sent a message to the players selected – you are good enough, improve your performance, keep your place; and a message to the new players – fight to displace them

    After the final whistle v St Johnstone L14 was on CQN for 3 days solid, slaughtering everyone from Dermot to the tea lady, and picking fights with anyone who disagreed. Repeating himself every 5 or 10 minutes ad infinitum. Referring to some posters as the 3 stooges.

    See for the punters who don’t trust VAR or the VAR officials …. VAR will do us more favours than without it … if no VAR the Huns would have got both their non goals

     

     

    VAR helps us in highlighting the cheats … sometimes they get forced to make the correct decision

     

     

    Wee McFadden today kept reiterating “technically” it’s a foul … mate a foul is a foul no need for any adjective ..

    So much for Brendans body language , sour face , burnout, failed tactics and all the other doomsday signs spotted by keen eyed experts . He was at his masterful best preparing for the match , during the match and in interviews post-match .

     

     

    As for the huns , having watched 3 full games (PSV x 2 , and today) , I’ve seen enough to know they’ve bought shite and are managed by a poor manager .

     

     

    We are going to accelerate away from them as the season progresses ..

    Is this the first time var has gone against sevco? The penalty controversy at Kilmarnock wasn’t even reviewd by the referee. Var will be used to disadvantage us and help them. We got lucky today in this respect. It may not happen again for a long time.
