Centre halves distribution into midfield (who were closely marked) who then played it back to Calum nullified the 2 big oafs playing upfront for the Hun … Calum then had time and space to build the play.
Moving Roofe back to mark Calum didn’t work, as he is a lazy sod.

The blog thrives on disagreements … but it’s peculiar the posters who have been very prominent in the last 7 days since our St Johnstone draw seem to be struggling for an internet connection
Ah well … at least they have the international break to get tore into Brendan & the bhoys :-)
Pittodrie & Ibrox done.. 4 games is nothing we have another 32 to be even better :-)
Just noticed that Ryan Jack was playing today. Raskin stood out because he was crap, same with TikTok. Ryan ‘Roid Jack however, utterly anonymous and hardly noticed him.

That’s one of the greatest victories at Ibrox in my near 52 years. Against all the odds. I know they’re rotten, but they’re not that rotten that they weren’t expected to win that game at a relative canter.
They know they’ll never have more favourable circumstances and yet they were still schooled. It might just break them once and for all.
Big kudos to CalMac and Scales in particular after the criticism last week. If Kyogo remains fit the huns surely can’t touch us. I’ve watched that goal about 50 times now. Stunning technique.

CQN is a very entertaining Celtic blog and it’s compulsory reading for me. A minority of contributors are persistently critical of the club and its various layers of management. For them, cretins control the club. The cretins, in turn, are in thrall to a malevolent psychopath.
These critics are perfectly entitled to their opinions. The blog should, of course, reflect the full spectrum of fan opinion. The question is however: what do they do on a day like today? Can they experience any joy?

A lot of people giving Rangers stick for losing to Celtic today, but that’s not fair.
For a club that’s only 11 years old, already being able to compete with a Champions League side is an incredible achievement.

Great scenes (Tik Tok?) as the players left the pitch today (credit to our opponents after full-time unlike their fans) smile on Liam’s face was priceless. John Kennedy too. Seemed too our whole backroom staff was there to meet the Bhoys in victory. Some of our own supporters could learn from that.
Shocking behaviour from the home fans, (again we should avoid that) towards their own players, who didn’t play that badly in the second half. Not good enough to beat us though.
Timely International break, big welcome awaits the team on our return to Celtic Park a couple of weeks from now, against Dundee.
There is only one reason the regular malcontents aren’t porting … because in my opinion 99% of them are gutted about today … and the 1% who do like Celtic are up their own bahookie and would like to see the fitba team loose so they can say … I told you so
That victory today was so important for the players and Brendan … I was gutted when Brendan bolted to Leicester … but in a kind of trying to convince myself I am delighted he came back …
Maybe he had to go to Leicester to actually hear us calling in the night
Top manager … that is factual …

So Liam Scales has now played over 4.5 hours of football against Sevco since April, 3 of those hours at Mordor, and has only seen them score once.
Not being wise after the event, I pointed out his form against them a few days ago on the blog.
If he could limit them playing for the sheep, thought he had half a chance in a better team too.

“porting” should have been “posting”
Loved our Neil in the commentary box today, McFadden & Boyd trying to justify a soft foul or not even a foul … Dessers fouls Lagerbielke … the Huns desperation is lovely … again without VAR the Huns goal would I’d be stood …
And did VAR have its eyes closed when Kyogo beats Butland and Goldson clears … Butland then just shoves Kyogo to the deck … no replays from Sky …

No problem only 102 points.👍
I’ll admit to not being neutral in all things Celtic – sevco.
However, the foul was a clear foul. I really don’t get where the discussion is coming from.
It’s not the controversial decision that losers remorse is encouraging it to be.

Yep, clear foul. I really don’t wish to give it too much air time.
The BBC can have its headline and the deluded huns can continue with a convenient distraction.
If it keeps them on their current trajectory, they have my blessing.

A bit of a watershed. Feel the fans, manager and team all a bit galvanised today.
Feels more joined up.
Seeing Brendan hugging Maeda was iconic.
