  1. C’mon bhoys and ghirls, up you get.

There’s a whole day of gloating ahead of you 🤣

    H H. Mick

  2. Good morning all from a sunny (soon to be 23degrees) Garden of God.

MM welcome home, We have missed you.

Every Celtic player done well yesterday, there are some that I do not see as good enough but everyone done a job.

Although against a very poor sevco.

BUT our bhoys did their job and on another day might have had another 1 at least.

Oh and I backed us at 7/5 to good a price to pass up.

My decision to not work from home or use annual leave has payed off as I can put the 1 or 2 Huns in our place back in their box.

    D :)

  3. BRRB – I could not hear you on phone yesterday as tunes were blaring.

I tried calling you back last night but you dingy’d me.🤣

    Hail Hail J bhoy.

    D :)

  4. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    “Kyogo scores, is he offside?”

    The words of Shortie’s commentator.

AL – an out and out Hun among a cabal of them.

Same guy nearly passed out with excitement a few minutes earlier when he thought his team had scored.

Commercial organisations can pitch any line they like no matter how twisted, biased or unreal.

They offer a product. We can choose to pay and consume or not.

    Not so the BBC.

You don’t pay, you don’t pass Go and you don’t collect £200.

  5. Has CQN ever been so wrong.

Reading back the negativity prior to the game was off the scale.

    In Brendan we trust.

    HH, the journey continues.

  6. Deniabhoy

Thanks for the reply. I don’t agree re Gus. First game at a place like that with 50000 baying for blood and on the back of a load of negativity from our own side. He made a couple of mistakes in a new partnership under sustained pressure in second half he stood up well for a kid used to playing on plastic pitch too.

Loving those on here still claiming some not good enough for our team. Despite the fact they can’t even say who is. Also weird they also seem to know what folks bonuses are and are based on.

Folk speaking of winding up Huns and how they turned in their team. Look at our own ‘faithful’ last week v St Johnstone and how they were on here until about 12.20pm yesterday. Not much difference. We are just a better run club and therefore win more I would suggest.

Fantastic day yesterday in a fabulous venue with some great Celtic fans. Thanks again Tom McLaughlin.

  7. Loved seeing Ralston giving the new guys a huge well done at the end. He knows what it is like to get stick from his one and the Hun support and stand up when no one believes in you. Top lad who knows his limitations and plays his ability to the max. Made of the stuff you would want in the trenches with you.

Maybe fits the mould of ‘not good enough’ for many but he went on and did enough. Won a few free kicks and didn’t put a foot wrong.

  8. I see on here it’s now that rangers are rubbish.

Not that we went and played with courage, with many injuries and little proper game time in our legs, at a tough Away venue against our biggest rivals who have spent this window.

    Funny that

  9. Good morning from an already warm North Staffs.

B78 – newclub weren’t rubbish and tested us in the second half – both teams had good chances – great to see us stand up to them.

  10. I believe Brendan has a few things to think about so let me help him:

Odin Thiago Holm starts before David Turnbull from now on – he deffo brings a bit of physicality to the mid field. DT has had long enough, I don’t see him as anything more than a substitute after 60/70 minutes.

Give Liam Scales a run of games and try him out at left back. He’s not reached his peak but he’s got qualities we need and he might benefit from coaching by BR.

Any one disagree with these suggestions?

  11. I had trouble sleeping last night and settled on going through the match thread on FF. Some 5000 comments over 108 pages. I wanted to see how they reacted to the key moments. Other than the industrial language, a lot of it was honest, at least from a fans perspective. They are not all rabid, though plenty are. As you would expect, it went from total belief that they were going to thump us to complete meltdown as the game unfolded

Someone tried to ramp up the poisonous atmosphere early doors by, unbelievably, posting a picture of Sam English’s challenge on John Thompson as a rallying call. Sick on a completely different level. There was an avalanche of condemnation. Enough said.

During the first half pretty much everyone from 10 minutes in was slating Beale for not man-marking Calmac and for not pressing our stand-in CHs more. The vitriol was ramped up by the disallowed goal and Maeda’s tackle on Tavernier. They truly believe the refs are on our side. That they are all in PL’s pocket.

Kyogo’s goal put a load of them over the edge and the calls for Beale to resign took on tsunami proportions.

No tactics, poor signings and failing against the “worst Tarriers team to visit Ibrox since the 90s”.

After the game, plenty blamed the ref but were met with plenty others saying they were simply shit and didn’t deserve anything.

Appreciate a lot of you couldn’t stomach reading through their posts. I found it mostly amusing, occasionally disturbing if not alarming.

And it got me back to sleep.

  12. BURNLEY78

Glad you enjoyed Kitty’s and the great Celtic company. Sorry I couldn’t be there.

After the team was announced, my son asked if I thought we could win. I said we certainly could win. I told him I believed Celtic could not play so poorly for a third consecutive game and pointed out that the last two nightmares were against a 10-man defence.

I knew Rangers would be different and would be much more positive, allowing Celtic more room to be creative going forward.

I finished by telling my son — apart from all that, Rangers are a bang average side.

    Hail Hail

  13. Any one know what’s going on with ETims site ? im getting a 403 forbidden ,no permission to access…

  14. ILJASB

I like David Turnball and what he adds to the squad, but agree that he should be used purely as backup. When everyone is fit, I don’t see him as a starter.

  15. ILJASB

Any one disagree with these suggestions?

I had a wee smile at that final paragraph as I imagined it being delivered in the manner of Begbie in Trainspotting.

  16. Deniabhoy

Great thing to do for insomnia.

    Sounds like fun.

Pity I have a busy busy day today.

  17. Anyone know if Iwata is injured? Seems to have disappeared since his loan deal became permanent. Had high hopes for him being a key midfield player alongside Reo and Calmac. Did his CH and RB games count against him?

  18. Anyone who saw Lazio at Napoli on Saturday night I would be curious if you felt Napoli looked poor or Lazio looked good ?

I was of the latter opinion until about the hour mark and then realised Napoli were totally devoid of creative ideas and energy. Playing as individuals.

Lazio certainly were an organised defensive unit and quick on the break. For me the Lenny and WGS pragmatic approach might be more appropriate than gung ho attack.

  19. Tom McLaughlin

Sorry you didn’t make it. I kinda had no idea who I was looking for and didn’t want to be asking random folk. A great crowd though and really good safe venue.

  20. Deniabhoy

    Re Iwata

I agree with you. He is young though. You maybe onto something Re his versatility working against him.

Changing his name to Tomoki hasn’t helped.

  21. Bournesouprecipe

Genuinely felt more fear with Morelos Sakala and Kent than the guys they had yesterday.

  22. Sean Thornton at 2.08 pm yesterday –

I echo that mate , echo that mate , echo that mate , echo that mate ……

  23. As ever the BBC Scotland’s ‘Sports Department’ can be relied on to give you a wee chuckle. Their headline, ‘Rodger’s Celtic win controversial Old Firm (sic) derby’. I suppose after a lifetime, two lifetimes in the case of old and new Rangers, when the laws of the game are fairly applied to ‘Rangers’ it is seen as controversial. Their first ‘goal’ was offside, their second ‘goal’ was scored after the Celtic defender Lagerbielke was fouled. What they really mean is that Sevco should get the decisions, despite both the laws of the game and video evidence proving otherwise.

P.S. I was really surprised at Robinson and the VAR official making those decisions, they had nothing to lose by awarding Sevco that ‘goal’ there would have been no media backlash, no ‘controversial win’ headlines. Have officials decided after all just to apply the laws of the game without fear and favour?

Only joking of course they haven’t, it happened at yesterday’s game. Let’s’ see how long it takes for Robinson to referee Sevco again and I doubt he’ll ever referee a Glasgow derby again unless it’s between Partick Thistle and Queens Park.

  24. Mark Wilson on SKy News there. Says he can’t believe the debate on the disallowed goal. It was a foul. End of.

AN articulate young man, a level above most of his peers.

Everyone seen the video on Twitter of Brendan driving away from Celtic Park yesterday? Tooting his horn and pumping his fist out the window. ANd some say he’s lost the passion .

  25. Burnley78 🤣

If it was my job I would have a list of players blah blah blah. Not my job

But as a fan I have the right to comment.

Thats the easy option to say tell me who we should sign for those we do not deem good enough.

You have your thoughts and I have mine, you are happy with mediocraty I want better.

As I said they all played brilliant yesterday now you have a wonderful day.

    D :)

  26. bigrailroadblues on

Good morning all from Govanhill. Another week of celebrations, fun and laughter starts now.

    David66

What time did you phone? 2am? 🤪

    GFTB

Don’t give me that old “Bank card hunt ” palaver. 😀

  27. bournesouprecipe on

    B78

Looks like they’ve signed very poorly using Bosman’s because ‘they can’t otherwise afford ‘

  28. ANd, as a wee add on, after the game, Brendan turned to the Celtic directors that were there and gave them the thumbs up. Not the actions of a man that is being shackled or has been sold a pup.

  29. An Tearmann

Had a great day ,food and Guinness was good in The Lagoon,I think 😀

Hope you enjoyed the game as much as me HH

  30. That was a performance from the ages yesterday, outstanding to come away with 3 points with so many players missing and other not fully match fit.

BR takes enormous credit, his pre match preparation and talks with the players, as well as at half time must have been spot on. When we get our injured players back, the rest of the league should cover their eyes.

A real hornets nest across the city now. The fans want Beale sacked but the board won’t do it until the league is looking lost.

  31. When Lammers looked certain to score yesterday my mind was cast back to last season when I think it was Matondo who had 2-3 glorious chances to score against us and missed. Prior to that, Morelos couldn’t buy a goal against us for what seemed like years. The chances he missed were legendary. Further back it was Boyd who always flopped when facing us.

Contrast that with Kyogo. When the pressure is on he delivers.

  32. Hartson whining about Lagerbielke conning the officials and VAR and how Roofes attempt should have counted….an embarrassment who will say anything to curry favour with the SMSM, up there with Walker and Burley for ex players who are best ignored…

  33. Hairlikespaghetti

Hartson is clueless. Not the brightest either.

He has had his troubles but not sure why he feels compelled to behave like Packy Bonner in the media.
