   I have wee look in during the week … I can get over any Celtic loss … it makes winning even better BUT I can say one thing for an absolute fact …. NO champions league qualifiers is like winning a league … many a holiday has been “effected” with early season qualifiers, without a shadow of a doubt … I love us not facing Cluj, Athens etc … insert your own hurdle

    Celtic started well but Rapid had the best of most of that. Stuttering performance- to be expected. On the back of heavy training- they are trying to play high intensity but are making regular passing errors. Especially our longer balls to the wing, where they’re lining up to intercept.

     

     

    Playing Jota on the right has affected him or he’s still jet lagged- all the style is there still but no end product. Callum and Hate doing well under pressure but also guilty of the misplaced passes.

     

     

    Overall a niggly game with lots of fouling. Rapid are very fond of grabbing collars and throwing our players to the ground. We are arriving late and would be on 3 or 4 yellows with a Scottish ref in charge.

     

     

    We might suffer a defeat here with more youngsters due in 2nd half

    Rapid Vienna and their fans are still horrible referee is a Simpson, great workout for the boys some lovely play in a first half spell where we should have gone 2-0. Sloppy summer defending led to Keystone Cops equaliser. More fringe than first teamers on the bench Bernabei looks very comfortable in the inverted full back role as does Urghohide, whom we might decide to keep and not allow out on loan.
