Record correct, SFA prepare to disband Appellate Panel

1122

This morning’s article in the Daily Record is not a work of fiction.  They reported that SFA chief executive Stewart Regan’s “bid to deliver a broad consensus over the way forward also involved discussions over the appellate tribunal’s transfer embargo on Rangers.”

In short, the SFA discussed changing their rules to disband the Independent Appellate Panel process before instructing Lord Carloway to sit in response to the Court of Session’s rejection of his previous judgement.

With two further Independent Judicial Tribunals still to sit in judgement on the actions of Rangers, for the illegal registration of players and non-payment of social taxes during the EBT era, the SFA will also subvert these rules before ‘Rangers’ are expelled from the Association.

After the meeting Regan left for his summer vacation without instructing Lord Carloway to convene the Appellate Panel.

That’s not all.

The scam to establish an SLP 2 in order to allow the SFA and SPL to co-opt ‘Rangers’ into that league is what the governing bodies have planned for your game.

If rules are changed AFTER a club is found guilty and in receipt of a penalty in order to nullify that penalty the game in this country is broke, ethically and financially.  Having established independent judicial panels to deal with serious rule breaches the SFA cannot do Rangers bidding without removing all judicial oversight.

We’re back to the days of George Peat walking in and out of hearings for the Celtic manager.

Most disturbingly of all, YOU are the cash cow for this outrageous enterprise.  With Rangers gone from the SPL Celtic fans bring all the commercial and television income into the game, and are set to buy more away ground tickets than all other clubs put together.

You are expected to continue to cough up for tickets to Tynecastle, Rugby Park etc, and subscribe to ESPN and Sky Sports – money which will divvied up among SPL 1 and SPL 2 teams, as well as they rest of the Scottish Football League clubs, to compensate for them missing out on a ‘Rangers’ game.

You will also pay more money for those tickets than any other group of fans in the league.  Why don’t you just write a cheque to Kilmarnock, Falkirk or Cowdenbeath today?

This nonsense will not bring another £1 into the game, all it will do is redistribute money from your pocket to clubs who care nothing for you.  Partick Thistle yesterday released a statement on their site, “We believe Scottish football needs to be restructured, financial distribution needs to be fairer for all clubs”.

“Financial distribution needs to be fairer”!  Patrick Thistle get to keep all their ticket sales, commercial and other income.  By “fairer” they mean they want some of your money.  If you agree with them, write them a cheque, but if you disagree, you better figure out what to do next.

Thoughts that some great victory has been achieved are premature.   Prepare for the next instalment.

Our domestic competition is, at best, uninspiring.  This disgusting land-grab for your cash will destroy our ability to compete in Europe, and it’s not just the senior team who will suffer.  The Celtic youth system costs millions to operate each year, don’t fantasise that it will survive intact.

Celtic currently employ 27 Scotland youth internationals.  They are almost single-handedly carrying the future of our national team.  This attempt to bleed your club dry will devastate all areas, with subsequent consequences for the Scotland team.

It’s not often I’ve told you the Daily Record have nailed a story but this one is on the money (your money).  I’m at a loss as to what to do next.

We cannot accept this.

Can anyone shed any light on a wee question?

Are there season tickets being sold for Ibrox Park for next season?

    Just curious.

  2. There’s something so appropriate about the fact that Naismith’s last act in a blue jersey was injuring himself while trying to do an opponent.

I suppose only crocking himself diving for a penalty would have been better.

    Season Tickets Announcement

WITH the uncertainty surrounding which league Rangers will be playing in next season, the club has taken the decision to extend the season ticket deadline to Wednesday 11 July.

In the event the Light Blues are not playing in the SPL, pricing will be reviewed and adjusted accordingly and refunds paid to season ticket holders who have already committed.

The club will process the first of four direct debit payments but this payment will be taken on 6 July rather than 29 June as previously communicated.

  8. At the Celtic Social Club in London Road this afternoon the Celtic Supporters Association unanimously voted in favour of a boycott any club that decided to vote in favour of the Newco admittance into the SPL, regardless of the outcome, successful or not.

The North American Association of Celtic Supporters, The Irish Association of Celtic Supporters, the Green Brigade and the Celtic Trust have all backed the CSA stance today.

During the meeting it was pointed out that outwith the ‘club formerly known as Rangers’, the total of away fans in attendance at Celtic Park for SPL matches last season was less than 4,000

    ####

Almost the entire support unite a vote to a BIG YES to a boycott. As i mentioned yesterday time for the board to break their silence, the life blood of Celtic have spoken the custodians of the club must stand shoulder to shoulder with the rank and file support.

Overtaken by events to an extent but not surprising in a new world where change is reported almost instantly and it is hard to keep up with what that might mean for decisions taken a week or two earlier.

It is democratic within the remit of the organisations but needs looking at in terms of how life and the speed of communication has changed.

The No toNewco vote will probably turn out redundant but not the divison of income.

But what if the deal HAS NOT in fact been done? They are still employed by the oldco and therefore can’t walk?

This is more of the kind of reality that folks based in reality and not the msm version of it, always was going to happen.

Reality always wins over dark forces, masons, and wrong because reality, in order to continue has to be right . It also has the advantageof not being bound by time like you or I.

When JF wrote yesterday of the time between the trigger going off and the explosion, the trigger was liquidation, now the explosion is being felt.

This belief in dark forces, if you take belief as equalling faith is akin to a faith in them. It can be beguiling because what it produces can last so long it seems real. But sooner or later reality (or if you prefer it “good” although I think” correction from wrong to right “is a better less judgemental way to look at it) will assert itself. We give life to what we believe in and we have a choice of what we believe in and I believe in “good” forces or the self correcting nature of life in non religious terms.

I have also learned to be very patient.

“Overtaken by events to an extent….” That has got to be the understatement of the year! Remind me how many times the Celtic Supporters Association voted to actually bhoycott Rangers FC as was? I can guarantee you the answer is…not many. But they are conscientious enough to threaten bhoycotts on other Scottish clubs who have yet to even vote on the admission of a new company. Those clubs have their own support to answer to, they do not answer to the CSA!

If it comes from D&P then the guys not wanting to move and not taking a payment have slapped in an equivalent of a transfer request to Oldco but still be entitled to be paid by them..

There might be some negotiating around this point re timing of Sevco taking over because possibly, in business administration terms it has not yet, but the players saying “no thank you” have made up their minds and once declared had better stick to it or face the wrath of their support if they ever turn out in front of them again .

There is no longer a ‘Old Firm’

I read Paul’s article last night and since I had already enjoyed a couple glasses of red wine wisely didn’t comment!

Now I have read a bit more I think the more the Scottish football authorities try to fix this mess the bigger the mess becomes.

Before anyone moves on maybe clarity should be made on the status of RFC(in administration) with the shareholders instructions to liquidate.

The liquidation action has not yet been placed before the Court of Session.

Duff and Phelps are due to report to Lord Hodge on their possible conflict of interest.

First Rangers are no longer able to field a team next season.

Green’s consortium have tried to slip into the available spot with the support from MSM propaganda, SPL/SFL/SFA interference and total disregard for the games regulations.

Can Green field a team at all?

    Does he own the assets?

Is he a member of the associations?

Does he have accounts to publish?

Truth is we don’t know and I suspect the football authorities don’t either. So until the new team can satisfy basic questions there should be no consideration of Green’s team being admitted to the league.

Then there should be an invite to open competition e.g. Spartens, Cove Rangers and others may be ready for the step up.

The reconstruction can then be undertaken with consideration to the games sponsors and it’s lifeblood the fans.

That includes leaving the independent panel in place (I feel they have been strong enough till now)
