Regan on SFA acting without fear

944

“The Scottish FA has a responsibility to all its members and must implement its rules without fear or favour”.  Stewart Regan, SFA chief executive, 24 April 2012.

What chance the SFA will be able to act without fear now?  I don’t imply they will act without favour, but do you believe SFA panellists can act without fear?  Anyone who participates in Rangers appeal process and upholds their punishment will act despite fear.

This process, one of the most important the SFA has dealt with in years, has been subverted, and that calls for a far greater sanction that any already imposed.

No mate I think you were correct.

I think he used it twice, I’m certain he used it in his divorce case, I vaguely remember a driving charge and a fine paid over time.

doesn’t really matter what time period HMRC investigations cover.

time period for illegally registered players, the SPL/SFA part, matters to us.

    Tom…..

We don’t see much of you these days.

You appear to be looking for a fight.

Perhaps you could name one or two of the “usual suspects”

    Or perhaps not.

Hope you are well, by the way.

  4. I have just heard that Lord Sean Patrick McPhee, Lord John Paul Fitzgerald, and Lord Declan Padraig O’Toole are the judges from the FTT. I hope that fat sally doesn’t think they may be impartial and demand their names, addresses, phone numbers be made public.

I don’t know Ferguson. But I do remember one particular feature of his repertoire – straight from kick-off he would go in late, hardand nasty on Paul McStay’s ankle. He was never booked.

I remember watching him on the 6-3-97 Scottish cup 1/4 final.

Malky MacKay and Di Canio won it for us 2-0.

Going into injury time the bigot just stood on the halfway line at the dugouts. As soon as the ref blew for fulltime he ran off the park up the tunnel, no handshakes for anyone.

10 days later they beat us 0-1 at Celtic Park in the league. At the end of the game no running up the tunnel this time.He wants to shake every Celtic’s players hands but that’s not enough he then calls Di Canio a F£$%^& B£$%^&, leading to Di Canio’s leg breaking motion.

He’s a typical hun….bad loser and an even worse winner.

    Scum…..

If evasion is discovered, investigation uncover when evasion begun.

There is not limit to how far back HMRC can go.

To relive that moment 9 years ago when it looked to be fading away as we headed past the 75 minute mark, but from the jaws of despairing defeat (ok, it was a draw at the time), up pops yer Uncle Henke (again) to show the way.

    Cue bedlam.

BILBAO through to the final. Absolutely bloody fantastic!!!

There are very few teams I can watch and get as emotional as I do when watching Celtic, but Bilbao are top of the list!!! Brilliant result for them. They play the way I want Celtic to play.

Maybe in a couple of seasons.

    Well done Athletic. :))))

Looking for a fight? Not at all. It was meant as a tongue-in-cheek comment after a short discussion after the CL semis. People expressing hatred for 3 of the 4 teams on show, for various reasons.

I am well, thank you and you are right, I don’t post very often and am more of a lurker these days, so still enjoying the best Celtic blog of them all.

Yes. Not on pitch though. Watched from north enclosure. Young guy with a ball ran up and shot it into the net at the Hun end. They went mental and came on to try to get at the guy and the rest is history.

One hardly mentioned was a game at iPox when they invaded the pitch and ally hunter had to run from a guy with a knife. Play had to be stopped till pitch was cleared.

Funnily enough Celtic won that day as well.

  14. JSC,

Either SFA staff were involved in registering the ridiculously low ‘legal’ salaries with no questions asked or the SFA version of the contracts were cosmetically enhanced to make them believable.

SFA are either accomplices or victims.

Always had a soft spot for the opressed,Barca and Bilbao, loads of Real supporters everywhere, but being in the sticks, they are ok,

I hope they do win it, but Madrid are a decent team, still due the tax man mind you.

  17. BBC Reporting Scotland news headline. McCoist (of course they gave his first name) condemns threats from some fans.

Such a simple few words, but wrong on so many levels. Are they too scared to say ‘Rangers fans’? Of course we know it’s some fans, we don’t need you to say that, we hardly believe it was the entire worldwide fanbase of ‘mullions’. Why is this even top headline – a man inflames a situation, fans the fans’s flames as it were and then the next day says its’ pure bad that there’s been some threats.

And then you read Alex Thomson’s latest blog and you suddenly recognise what real journalism is.

Would be winning La Liga if the other teams paid their taxes and their bills.

What’s the state aid running total for Real up to now? Including the land deals from 10-15 years ago, tax dodging and various grants, it must be kicking on €750m by now.

And what’s their ‘listed’ debt these days? €190m? €200m.

Imagine how many CLs we could have had these last 10 years if we were able to spend €900m we could ill afford.

”Barcabhoys post on RTC and the reaction to the SFA judicial findings has me thinking what will happen to the 3 judges when the result fo the FTT is known.”

IF the judgement is published the names of the judge and the tribunal member sitting with him will be included.

Sally and Wally and the rest of them will not be calling for transparency though. They will be demanding that the details of the tribunal hearing, which was held in private, should be kept confidential.

    And we all know why.

I believe Wally is a trustee of the fans fighting fund.

Perhaps he could help them out by offering to repay the EBT loans he received.
