Reports of Roberts loan to Celtic denied

509

Celtic have NOT agreed a deal to take Patrick Roberts on loan next season.  Sources within the club expressed surprise at reports claiming as much. The club have been working with Manchester City and the player for some months, in an attempt to secure the services of the England youth international.

A loan deal is only one of the options being discussed.  But while Celtic look the most likely destination for Patrick, there is still work to be done.

Celtic, who will soon be able to offer guaranteed Champions League football to prospective players, are active in a number fronts.

I always thought Arnold was s doofus, but he has shown some brains, and some class, in his dealings with Trump

I may have judged arnie unfairly

  2. Extra extra, breaking news, Celtic have asked Man city for more time so they can check with the SPL if it is OK too use an EBT or a side letter too entice Paddy to Celtic Park. Sources indicate that The SPL insists that it is either one or the other, if Celtic use both they may be in big trouble.

Seriously, I always had great regard for N Lennon but my respect for him has gone up another notch after his standing up to those thousands of bigots last weekend- and all on his own.

I know he will get a standing ovation when he brings his team to Celtic Park but a pity about the result.

I was concerned Stuart wasn’t going to re-sign. Deeeelighted he has. Celtic cannae have enough good Scottish and Irish players, IMO.

  7. For some unknown reason I have watched a fair bit of brit football lately, last night it was Everton, it’s Burton v B/ham tonight, I said that I would be miffed if we didn’t blow Everton away and I would be equally miffed if our second team didn’t dispatch what I am watching tonight.

Fair play to the brits for talking up their game tho.

Kilmarnock. I know thats not right, but there is definitely a strong waft of fish in Killie. Plus they also have loads of cheats and thousands of huns, so that probably explains it:)

Pena of the Sevs looks like a right baggy minnow to me, his career has sunk to the Sevcodome and I have a feeling his boss will be swimming with the fishes soon …. the Evening Shark jump (copyright Clumpany) will soon be sharpening their teeth for Pedro the Finn, ah mean Pedro the Tim !

  11. I had a little bit of likeness for the buffoon that is Pedro, but he is testing the patience, liking the death threats to Lenny as passion is well out of order, looks like he is spouting the crap for others higher up the food chain.

I hope they all burn in hell.

Although big carlos is still fat, he still likes to boogie in town. That’s as near to a training regime as he has ever been. No doubt he owes 8 million to the cartel, so dont be surprised to see carlos’s face stitched to a Mitre 5 and left outside ipox:)

  15. TET- I gave that clown a wee bit of a pass being a puppet for Traynor and Co, but the treatment of Neil and his staff last week, sums him up, no class and will do anything for money.

  16. In my opinion Celtic deserve a pat on the back.

Armstrong clearly doesn’t see his long term future with us. I’m disappointed with that decision but not with the club, I’m disappointed with Stuart himself. However, the extension of a year puts Celtic in a stronger position when he’s sold, probably next summer.

Paddy is absolutely class. It’s not just the mesmerising dribbles, it’s his vision, his passing range, his ability to create space, his awareness and so much else. Even if we only manage to secure him on another years loan it’ll be worth it in my opinion. We’d have been fortunate to see a really gifted footballer for two and a half years for nothing more than wages.
