We’ve seen a few difficult games against Hamilton Accies in recent years, including what proved to be a costly draw after being denied a late winner at New Douglas Park, but we’ve never met them in this form.
Hamilton have the longest unbeaten run in Scotland. They lost their opening league game of the season, at home to Inverness, but have won seven and drawn two of their subsequent nine games. Their 0-4 win away to Motherwell last week was a display of sharp, organised football – and remember, Motherwell took at point at Celtic Park the previous weekend.
Alex Neil will have no intentions of leaving pointless tomorrow. This is the game he and his players will have been waiting for since the fixtures were announced four months ago. Their four SPLF away games: wins at St Mirren, Partick and Motherwell, and a draw at Tannadice, has been preparation for Celtic Park.
If Celtic have a Europa League hangover, Accies will boss them. Forget the lowly status of the club, respect is needed if we are the get the desired result and performance required.
I’m running the Great Scottish Run in aid of Celtic Foundation tomorrow morning, which presents a, erm, personal hygiene challenge for the game. It’ll be a full can of deodorant day. If you have a £1 or two for the fundraising, you can help here.

My nephew spent 6 months in Polmont due to the act, he was arrested at Hamilton a couple of seasons ago for doing very little IMO, he mooned at the Hammy fans, young, daft but no way a threat, anyways, he was barred from attending games, all by the actions of the polis, he was caught at a game, done 6 months in the pokey, his own fault for going, but FFS, 6 months was a tad on the harsh side.

Hamilton will go for it the morra, we will need to be focused to get anything out of the game, if we are, we will win handy, if not, we may well lose, they will no fear us, their manager will have them drilled for exploiting our weaknesses, and we have a few, it’s up to the players, the coach can coach them all day long, they have to impliment his instructions, end of.
As for open attacking play, where the footballrs are allowed to play footy, down to the referees, if they allow open play, one day scotland will be dining at the top table again, till then, we are where we are, and it’s where we will stay, till the suits who run the game, run the game for the good of the game, and not for one club.

Delaney’s dunky .
I’ve got twins who played with St Amrose in two Consecutive Scottish cup finals … lost the first on penalties … won the second one
to the best of my knowledge , none went senior

Good evening all.
Had one helluva day with sciatica. The pain in my left hip and leg is excrutiating. Hopefully be a bit easier in the morning or there is no way I’ll make the game. The first home game I’ll have missed this season. Grrrrrrrrr.

Said the self same thing for many a year, they destroyed the game.
And the sad thing is, they were allowed to.

It’s so refreshing to hear that.
Despite what you hear, the yes vote is a fad. It’s yesterday’s news etc.
And yet here are people still engaged.
Good people. People with principles.
What’s not to admire?
Haven’t read back, so don’t know if similar comments have been made.
Just watched recording of Man City’s win at Aston Villa. An absolute master class from David Silva, touch, spatial awareness, weight of pass a joy to behold.
If Ronny D was watching, I hope he didn’t only watch such a player with envy. I hope he noticed how Pelligrini, as Villa started to exploit the space left by the forward-thinking central midfield of City, took off one of his front 2, Dzeko, and replaced him with a holding, ball-winning midfielder, Fernando.
The threat from Villa evaporated, Toure moved forward without having to worry so much about defending, and City scored 2 late goals.
Gary Neville described it as taking a step back in order to allow more progress to be made going forward. Adaptability from a successful, experienced manager.

Hope to see you there amigo.

It’s only the begining.

We were a good team. Holy Cross Hamilton & St. Patrick’s Dumbarton were better though. St Thomas Aquinas on the hill of Jordan is a lucky school. :)

I need to be careful what tablets I take as I’m on BP tablets and the ole cholesterol treatment. Hopefully it will ease as I’ve done very little today. :-))

HT,
I was in the square with my daughter and her pal on that day next to the Cqn banner, docs lassie was helping to it hold up.
There’s keeping control and there’s just plain bullying tactics.
Why not let us support our teams without the fear of prosecution due to a word that might slip out in frustration…I’m sure most of us have done it at one time or another!
Maybe, a reason why fans stay away now!
Cleanse the working class…let the upper class rugby fans have their day unperturbed by our police militia!

My family and I will be in the Square next Sunday. The younger generation seem to have been energised and the lies we have been told are not fooling them. I am working with youngsters who are organising a foodbank…a million miles from the expense claiming supposed party of the people.

Celtic by at least 4 tomorrow, we are a far better team than Hamilton and will show it.
The team is starting to get it together and will only get stronger as the weeks go on.

Stretch it out as tbj says…
Hope you are fit for tomorrow buddy. James was in seeing me today. Said he will see you tomorrow.
Igc, I completely agree. All the premier league clubs banked with the bank of Scotland and with the minty one and his unhealthy relationship with their head honchos, he had everything tied up. My most disliked person after thatcher.

Hopefully I’ll be ok for the morn. I love my wee visit to the “corner” before the game and meeting all you maddies. Fingers crossed. :-))

If foodbanks keep growing at this rate the Tories will privatise them
Caching up with the action in Spain, it’s now official.
Lionel Messi is now the greatest footballer ever. Don’t take my word for it, so says Ossie Ardiles, world cup winner, who played with the great Maradona, during half-time analysis of the Rayo v Barcelona match, in which Messi moved to within 2 goals of the all- time La Liga scoring record.
With his off-field problems, maybe we shouldn’t give up hope of signing him, as he might appreciate being in a country where influential politicians speak up for tax-dodgers.
