We’ve seen a few difficult games against Hamilton Accies in recent years, including what proved to be a costly draw after being denied a late winner at New Douglas Park, but we’ve never met them in this form.
Hamilton have the longest unbeaten run in Scotland. They lost their opening league game of the season, at home to Inverness, but have won seven and drawn two of their subsequent nine games. Their 0-4 win away to Motherwell last week was a display of sharp, organised football – and remember, Motherwell took at point at Celtic Park the previous weekend.
Alex Neil will have no intentions of leaving pointless tomorrow. This is the game he and his players will have been waiting for since the fixtures were announced four months ago. Their four SPLF away games: wins at St Mirren, Partick and Motherwell, and a draw at Tannadice, has been preparation for Celtic Park.
If Celtic have a Europa League hangover, Accies will boss them. Forget the lowly status of the club, respect is needed if we are the get the desired result and performance required.
I’m running the Great Scottish Run in aid of Celtic Foundation tomorrow morning, which presents a, erm, personal hygiene challenge for the game. It’ll be a full can of deodorant day. If you have a £1 or two for the fundraising, you can help here.

Yes 2 nil down at half time and the bhoys were sent out early for the second half. They stood around watching as we sang “walk on”.
They didn’t need any other team talk. Tactics didn’t matter. The fans told them what was required. They produced.
One of my favourite games despite losing the league to Utd.
Charlie Nicholas really was a good player.

Junglejim. I am sure I read he is on loan to Bournemouth. H.H.
What is the world coming to if old Celtic grumphers are no longer allowed, far less encouraged, to pontificate on all matters to do with our great club , .. & indeed our society ?
God Bless the Geriatric Brigade who brought our club through the darkest of days & are still here to insist that we remain faithful to our traditions.
Still Game,… my old pitifully sad ould ass !
May the Gods bless the greatest people on planet Earth.

We thought that a full house and a day’s golfing in Donegal would make him want to stay.
We were no older than him, right enough

No doubt Hamilton accies will play with 100% determination, organisation and effort tomorrow.
If we can match that we will win, as they only have about 25% of our ability.
Goodnight Timland.
Need to pay attention to loved one’s.
Prestonpans….don’t know if it’s a record….naebody sayed!!!
Got into my holiday lodge at 3.50 but couldn’t work out the central heating. Visit to the pub and 3 glasses of wine …….no problem :-)
mighty tim supporting wee oscar,
Good to see you posting again mate, hope you got things sorted with the hassle your bhoy went through.HH
Milan are playing the 4-2-3-1 formation, quite a popular set up, but I will wager their wingers will tuck in when needed.

Re local Tims who lived the dream, how could you forget two of Partick’s biggest Tims. My schoolmates Tosh & Pat.
Che, I hope Kevj doesn’t see your post, he will be upset with the way Keevins was treated.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist has told the club’s supporters to behave after trouble followed the 1-0 win at Livingston.
Five fans from the away support were arrested at the Energy Assets Arena after scuffles with police, while there were also reports of clashes outside the stadium after the match.
Livi’s security chief Allan Scott confirmed there were no injuries to officers or stewards but reports will now be sent to the procurator fiscal as McCoist admitted the disturbances was the last thing his club needed.
He said: “I did see it and it looked pretty unsavoury but until I get a report on it I would be loath to comment on it. However, it goes without saying we could do without incidents like that.”

Only found out about the horrendous Livingston ‘new club’ content after the game. Been assured their directors are dealing with the issue

My all time favourite Celtic goal. Thanks mate.
Although there have been greater Celtic goals scored, it has to be mine because it was a great goal and because it was the first time since 1921 we beat them at iPod on New Year’s Day. I’ll never get tired of watching bit or posting this tonight…another GIRFUY moment.

Tully 57, brilliant.
My dad never liked Harry Hood and called him Haddie Hood, which was unfair.
The Harry Hood song was sung constantly on the train we were on from Dover to Victoria, the day after the Ekeren game in Belgium.
Forty years from Harry’s playing days, it’s still a classic. Cos we’ve got someone twice as good and his name’s Harry Hood, oh Harry, oh Harry.

The Walk On that day was immense. Story goes back in the day that Bobby Russell who played that day and who incidentally is/was married to a Catholic was at the Dancing in ML5 later and commented on how awesome the Celtic Support were that day. We were the difference, just a pity we did not win the League that day but….yip, you know what is coming…
Another GIRFUY moment to them.

Tet,
The two la liga sides playing last night used it. I chuckle at the guys who think Ronny is the only one using it and is to blame for all our woes.
Ec67,
You are right. They did. Wee Pablo came inside quite a bit. Coulda covered a bit better mindya but 3pts is 3 pts.

Aye, the players will get used to the set up, it’s really no rocket science, the wingers just need to track back and tuck in when required, it a very good set up if deployed correctly.
We will get there, if the current players can’t adapt, they will be gone, and others brot in who can play the system, after all, it’s Ronny’s head on the block.

What a team we had at St Tams in ’81. Seven made it as professional players.

It may have been a different banner but I remember one with those words but in addition, ‘and he’s the biggest Orange B of them all!’
