Rest Rogic through the international break

398

The goal Livingston scored to defeat Celtic in September was their solitary strike in a run of six games.  Since then, form has bounced, they won 0-3 at St Johnstone, 2-3 at Ross County and drew 1-1 at home to Dundee United.  Notwithstanding that, I expect a backlash from Celtic tomorrow that goes someway to resolving the awful performance we put in at the Plastic Pasta Pitch.

Not so long ago, the persistent rain that has fallen on Scotland this week, would turn pitches into quagmires, unfit for precision passing.  By contrast, a soaking Easter Road on Wednesday could hardly be more accommodating to Celtic’s fast passing style.  Celtic Park should be equally accommodating tomorrow.

Although Tom Rogic was instrumental to the best of our performance against Hibs, there is no reason to risk his hamstring so soon.  Resting him for the trip to Hungary and then to Dens Park next weekend, would be enough to keep him from globetrotting with Australia during the subsequent international break.

We return from that break to a League Cup semi-final and a relentless run of fixtures ahead of the winter break.  A bit of squad management with Tom right now makes sense.

  1. To get back to the fiba’ for a spell, we need to be aware that the midfield of Rogic, Turnbull, McGregor and Johnston, despite a quite stellar performance for 45 minutes last game, will not keep weans or hens oot a close. We really need to address this in January.

I think the vast majority of people in Scotland think Gorgeous is a free loading arsehole who would take a peece at anyone’s door. A little like a left leaning Boris Johnson.

Its because of people like you that there’s millions of fat rats roaming Glasgow’s streets, because you voted for the lying party who facilitated them through tartan austerity, then sleekitly blaming the Tories.

And you don’t speak for the majority, and anyway, the majority don’t vote for your type of deceitful junk, gerrymandering sees to that.

If George Galloway is what you say he is, why will nobody from your camp go toe to toe with GG?

    What are you afraid of?

Facing someone who won’t be cowed by a rigged, political, or SMSM, swamp of cowards?

    What?

  3. ‘Correct.

It has nowt to do with Brian Wilsons politics’

There were regular and persistent calls for Brian Wilson to go before Walter Smith died.

    All from cult supporters.

    Why?

  4. why oh who oh why

is this the George Galloway show today.

been done to death a longtime ago.

  5. Ernie, your obsession for defending the indefensible when it comes to the red tories in the labour party obscures any decent point you may be making in this debate.

  6. Sad to say I hadn’t a clue who George Galloway was.

Googled him and found out he is an ex Labour MP aged 67 originally from Dundee, who has had 4 wives & 5 children,

Having learned that much I’m still at a loss as to his Celtic connections,

Is he a Tim, has he expressed views on the way the Club is run why are we discussing him in relation to running Celtic,

Or you can believe the balanced Saint Stivs.

Anyway, who is your name to lead Celtic fc, and would terrify 100% of our enemies?

The George Galloway of 2021, not the GG of 1990, or whenever he did his good charitable deed.

George Galloway isn’t the problem here, dumbfk Celtic supporters, university graduates, who vote for political parties, who now form ScotsGov, who blatantly, detest, Celtic fc, Irish immigrants, Roman Catholics, even the tokens in their parties, socialists, Gypsy travellers, and anyone who is not a Freemason hun, dumbfk Celtic fans vote for all of that, then they have the brass necks to preach down to those whom they, other?

Or, am I wasting my time even asking you?

  10. I kinda wanted the Club to invite Joe and the Pope to Celtic Park , and maybe a tour of saint marys and to see the memorial.

The Ould Bhoys back together again.

Galloway was a Dundee United fan

    &&&&

    Yeah, that’s right.

George Galloway was the same Dundee Utd fan who compiled a book, about Neil Francis Lennon, and the bombs, bullets, and hatred, for being an Irish Catholic, in Scotland.

George Galloway, and that other Dundee Utd fan, Brian Dempsey, Paul McBride QC I think as well, produced, and wrote that book in 2011/12 the name of the book eludes me.

George Galloway supports ALL working class, oppressed, underdog clubs, like obviously Celtic fc, Dundee Utd, and Man Utd before they became globetrotters, and “bankers” money destroyed the game, and I suppose many other clubs as well.

  15. he rote a big bumper book of words and pictures about neil …………

Didn’t know that Galloway had written a book for an under siege Cellic manager?

So how does a book get Wilson onto the board, but not Galloway?

As a politician, Brian Wilson showed a lot of socialist concerns for working-class people and communities. Lots of other politicians and trade union representatives did the same, but, they then would proceed to take a seat in the House of Lords, Brian took his seat in the Boardroom instead though! :)) por cierto

    ——

Brian Wilson, lots of politicians & trades union people can, as you say, be proud of their input and support of ordinary people. They together with the Labour Party have fought and won ALL the great socialist battles for the working class – enough to easily complete four A4 sheets back and front(SNPcult would struggle to fill the back of a postage stamp). As a member of Labour until Commie Corbyn, I also claim my tiny bit of glory over the years.

So after a lifetime of service, why should’nt Brian join the board of the club he loves when invited to do so?

The House of Lords is the important second-chamber of Parliament, and as such plays a pivotal role in the governing of our country. Would you deny Labour, Trades Unions representation? Would you leave all the places to our natural opponents?

The House of Lords may not be the modern ideal when it comes to its composition, but it regularly stands up to and delivers a ‘bloody nose’ to Governments, whatever the colour.

Compare that with the fact that Toytown Holyrood has no revising chamber and we are left with biased committees loaded with a SNPcult majority – that’s why Education, Health & Local Government are in the state they’re in, and things like the Edinburgh Sick Children, Prestwick, Fergusons & many other farces are allowed to happen and be quickly buried.

Brian Wilson is a good man – I had the pleasure of working and campaigning for him when in 1987 he won Cunninghame North for Labour after years of Conservative domination. The latest ‘hoo ha’ has been drummed-up against him for political reasons by people not fit to ‘lick his boots’. It is contorted logic, mischief-making and an utter irrelevance.

  24. Park the bus > blootir it > simple on

This Martin guy has a point.

Who would be better than Galloway, to turn Cellic into the revolutionary club, from the minority community, that we badly need to be, again?
