Result achieved for Celtic but Danny Lennon will see promise for Saturday

903

It’s difficult to analyse Celtic’s performance last night.  For much of the game the players were clearly enjoying themselves and should have been rewarded with more goals, but Dunfermline were incredibly porous in central midfield.  Ki and Commons were able to stage a passing master-class which was pleasing on the eye.

The fact that the deluge of goals didn’t come is not particularly concerning.  Celtic don’t make a habit of profligacy in front of goals, making chances is more of a problem, so it would be a mistake to read too much into one game.

While Dunfermline were out of the contest for most of the evening they also retained two strikers, something we seldom see from SPL visitors at Celtic Park, so that fact that they were able to construct an attempt at goal five minutes from time was not surprising.

Celtic got what they needed from the game but Danny Lennon, who brings St Mirren to Celtic Park on Saturday, will also have seen enough to let him form a decent game-plan, especially if Celtic play a 4-4-2 with two wingers, as they finished the game yesterday.

Remember things are not always as the establishment states.

At one time his parents, his elders, his intellectual superiors, the government, the monarchy the king, the pope and all said to Copernicus:

“Copernicus, when are you going to come to terms with the fact that the world does not revolve around you?”

Catholics a drain on Resources – The Proof

    Written by Desi Mond

    FRIDAY, 18 NOVEMBER 2011

Official stats released today confirmed Scotlands worse fears: Catholics are a drain on Emergency Service resources.

The Scottish Government published stats show that despite only accounting for 16% of the Scottish population, Catholics find themselves involved in 58% of attacks.

These attacks, which have shown an increase by 10% in 12 months, inevitably involved a waste of valuable Police, Ambulance and Hospital staff time and resources. With the stats now public, the expected outcry has erupted and there were calls today for action to be taken to tackle this aspect of Scotlands Shame.

“This is truly a shocking revelation” said Mr William King, Councillor for Bridgeton in Glasgow, ” I thought it would be more!.”

Mr King expressed dismay at such reading during these cruel harsh times “Its hard enough for the Council to find the millions needed to fund the popular Marching season let alone having to find money to clean up the messes that these people leave after their antics’.

Mr King also voiced his concern at Bishop Philip Tartaglia’s condemnation of Scottish Society and his portrayal of Catholics as victims in Scotland. Mr King said “I think its important to note that more people that just those cultists named here, suffer within such stats. What about the attackers?, They must injure themselves, cuts and bruises dont always heal themselves”.

Mr King reiterated his call for Scotland to always be looking forward while keeping an eye on the past and said ‘Its simple, if they dont like it here, leave, who asked them to live here? The best solution seems clear to me and my friends and the Government know my door is always open if they want to discuss repatriation”.

Community Safety Minister Roseanna Cunningham published the stats and called for an end of such attitudes and attacks in Scotland. The Internet was immediately suspended while several Celtic websites wrote damning articles on the SNP actually doing something that seemed to be in the public interest and not anti-Catholic or Celtic.

“We cant have that” said Celtic Web Guru Brendan McLabour who admitted some Celtic fans found themselves in a quandry. “We dont believe a word that Salmond says so we dont quite know how to react here. Bugger!”

Police Communication Officer Rob Shorthouse was unavailable for comment.

  8. Rangers have another court case on the go – but they will not get any money back because the company they sued, which produced programmes etc, went bust. Apparently they were owed £500,000 (and Celtic were owed £400,000).

A great line from the report –

Rangers likewise cancelled its contract telling fans to “cancel any direct debit payment with immediate effect”.

One need not comment on that one!

St Mirren will provide stiffer opposition tomorrow than the Pars the other night, but looking forward to it: a Saturday 3 o’clock kick-off at Celtic park is a rarity these days!

I would be delighted if Mulgrew and Commons are fit for this one.

Sone Aluko and his family bailing out the Huns to the tune of £200,000. How embarrassing is that?

No even in our darkest hour did any Celtic player have to pay money on behalf of the club. It really is a pathetic state of affairs at Ibrox…

You say some “on here would have you believe that all of Strathclydes finest are out to get us and members of a giant masonic conspiracy, which I know from experience just isn’t the case”

But when one looks at a video of Comical Corrigan such as the “Police Typing fail” one it is hard to believe that this man has risen to the rank of Assistant Chief Constable on merit, does it?

Most of us are familiar with the scenario where dullards and talentless tossers rise in their chosen field not by ability but by Masonic preference, and on the face of it Corrigan looks like such a case. No?

  14. That Keith Jackson article is Hunbelievable. At first I thought I was reading a spoof-repost.

I actually feel sorry for a young Nigerian boy who has just been thoroughly stitched-up.

  15. Big Nan- Apart from his undoubted typing attributes, when he speaks he doesn’t exactly inspire me with confidence, he reminded me of Dallas who has a similar slow-witted way of talking.

Maybe it’s just his media image- if so he should not go in front of cameras- that video is a PR disaster for him and Strathclyde Police.

  16. Good morning from MK where is sunny but the forecast is for wind later.

A new and somewhat sinister development in the SNP’s handling of the sectarian/political singing debacle was highlighted by Phil Mac Giolla Bhain in his blog.

The sinister aspect is the clear indication the establishment (whoever they are) in Scotland have connected the Green Brigade to Irish dissident groups and no doubt going forward there will be a media frenzy to use this nonsense to malign what is quite clearly a loose grouping of Celtic fans.

    You have to laugh really.

“Sone Aluke clinched his dream move to Rangers after agreeing to pay Aberdeen almost £200,000 out of his own pocket.”

Had the club involved been say … Celtic, I can’t help thinking the copy would have been something along the lines of.

“Sone Aluke was forced to pay former club Aberdeen almost £200,000 out of his own pocket to seal his move to Celtic after cash-strapped Hoops could not afford to pay the compensation claim. The situation is the latest embarrassment … ect, ect, ect…”

    I pay my taxes

  18. I’m hearing Sone Aluko is not as daft as some may think as he’s instructed his lawyer to ‘ring fence’ his salary for the length of his contract at The Destables.’

-one of the undoubted highlights of life under the Ginger Helmsman, 5 short years ago this week.

None of the Celtic side that night are still at Celtic, Man Utd have 6 of the starting XI still at Old Trafford.

We really need to grasp the concept of team building if we’re going to have sustained success.

A great night at Paradise and a good result considering we were far from our best in that match.

I remember some people complaining after that game. Some folk are just never happy.
