Retired Celtic Star Makes Rare Social Media Appearance to Pay Tribute to James Forrest

TOM ROGIC, the 32-year-old retired Celtic star has broken his social media silence to congratulate midfielder James Forrest after he became the most decorated player in Celtic’s history. Rogic has always been a quiet individual, even during his glory days playing for the Glasgow giants. He is known to enjoy his privacy and life with his family and seemed to disappear almost completely from public view after leaving the sport.

However, the amazing work of winger Forrest, who has surpassed Bobby Lennox by winning a record 26 major honours was enough to prompt Rogic’s social media resurface. The retired Australian came online again to share a post congratulating his former teammates achievements.

Rogic’s post is proof that Forrest’s success hasn’t gone unnoticed. In fact, the player is a favourite among sports bettors who use non-Gamstop UK betting sites. Individuals who have placed bets on Forrest’s success have enjoyed withdrawing a lot of cash due to the star’s expert skill, as well as the many bonuses these sites offer to both new and seasoned bettors.

Although Rogic did not comment on the post itself, a testament to how quiet an individual he is, he did share a post which celebrated Forrest’s success, letting everyone know that he is still involved in the sport and his former team, and is proud of their success.

Rogic and Forrest were more than just teammates, their bond was forged over more than ten years of success playing for Celtic. During this time they both lifted multiple league titles, Scottish Cups and League Cups together.

The fact that Rogic has shared this post has also given fans a rare glimpse into the life of the retired player, and reassured them that he is likely doing well after his departure from the sport.

The reasons Rogic left in the first place were both touching and commendable. He stated that himself and his wife had been experiencing fertility issues for seven years prior to his retirement, and that after a successful round of IVF, they were finally able to welcome a daughter into their life in 2021. His wife was then expecting twins in 2024, which is what finalised his decision to leave the sport for good.

He said that being a father has been the greatest achievement in his life and that he thinks leaving the sport to be fully there for his family was the right thing to do. After this, he returned to Australia and all but disappeared from public view. He does have an active Instagram account, but very rarely makes posts.

Meanwhile, now a 13-time Scottish champion, winner of 5 Scottish Cups and 8 League Cups, doesn’t seem likely to be going anywhere anytime soon. The 33-year-old seems to be right in the middle of cementing his own chapter in the club’s history. The fact that even the quiet and unassuming Rogic went out of his way to share support for the midfielder is a testament to the skill and dedication Forrest brings to his team.

Forrest has even made arrangements to visit Celtic star Bobby Lennox, whom he has surpassed with his success. He made it known on his own social media that he has kept in touch with Lennox.

The actions of both men really show how loved the Celtic team is, and how their actions and attitudes send ripples that go beyond just the pitch. The support they show for one another, as well as former teammates and old team legends really speaks to the sense of community that the Celtics have been able to foster. A community that spreads all the way to the fans.
