  1. Who didn’t laugh at Neil Lennon 2 years ago in the 4-2 game when he was ranting about nothing when Hibs manager?

  2. BLUEGRASS CELT on 24TH SEPTEMBER 2020 9:07 PM

Saint Stivs, you must have been asked this before……but are you big Peter?

aye, its me , here is your five pounds.

if you knew me at all you will realise that everyone else on here who really do know me just fell aff their couches in hysterics.

One goal was enough tonight but something tells me it might not be against a more dangerous Hibs team on Sunday . Another 3-2?

  4. Mad Mitch

I have held back on Greg due to his talents fo ages but he has set up to pass straight back and hide for weeks

Cal Mac called him out tonight by putting it back up the channl

  5. MAD MITCH

He needs support / coaching / tactics.

He is getting none of these.

    ………………………………………………….

    I don’t think he’s alone at CP.

  6. I said when football shut down last March that the long lay off could spell the end of Scott Brown because, at his age, he would find it very difficult to get going again

If there is one player you can’t write off its him, but I’m beginning to think maybe it is time for him to step aside

  7. Might be in a minority of one here but I don’t share the general view that we were awful tonight.

Riga have done reasonably OK in Europe up to now,

We absolutely dominated the game and did create 3 or 4 excellent chances & in the end we deservedly won the game.

It was a very hard watch & as usual we struggled to break down blanket defenses.

I think we have a good team but we are far from our best right now.

Lenny does need to give lhads like Turnbull & Soro a chance.

We need to play 2 up front.

    Frimpong needs to start games.

We need to use our bench better. Albeit Lenny’s ballsy decision to sub Eddie & bring on Moi, won us the match.

We have a good squad, we will get better.

  8. sorry ghuys just like to say i was 14 when we won the big cup, went to all the home european games and all the home and away games 67 till 74, then moved to englandshire, never seen paul mcstay never seen charlie nicholas, davie provan, murdo mcleod frank macavennie, etc but who would they have replaced in the lions side,

  9. SAINT STIVS on 24TH SEPTEMBER 2020 9:14 PM

hurrah, the blues go 3 up. hurrah.

    Good for the coefficient .

  10. Right after telling myself repeatedly that it’s hard playing against a team intent on defending deep – I’ve calmed somewhat.

A win puts has us through away from home. We need a performance on Sunday though, I’ll despair if I see Brown, Forrest or Taylor in the starting 11. Brown is a passenger in games where we have all the ball and the opponent drops deep. That’s what we’ve faced most of the season.

  11. Team vs Hibs has to be(assuming Ayrshire superstar is injured)

I don’t know that Lenny’s decision to take off Eddy was particularly ‘ballsy’ since Eddy was having a stinker .

Not that I would have been surprised at him scoring if he had stayed on .

  13. GLENDALYSTONSILS

Eddie is our biggest asset yet Lennon has been happy to sub him and indeed put him on the bench. Why can’t he do that for a clearly burnt out Scott Brown?

  14. I predicted vs reality

    I said 2-1 for us : 1-0

I said 0-5 Aberdeen but only 1 so far

I said 0-2 Motherwell and it was 0-3 , not bad

I said 2-0 huns and 3 so far

Do we have the best manager?

  15. CB @ 9.14

As the second half wore on / bored on — CMcG seemed to be playing at LB with GT playing wide left.

Not ideal given the skillset’s on display is the polite way of putting it I think.

KT is a limited player / footballer going forward but he is very effective.

Happy to run the opposition for 20M to get the opening / 40M if he has to — based of his acceleration rather than outright speed. He had belief in himself and it usually worked.

GT doesn’t have that — he also doesn’t have the confidence to make the most of the chances he does get. So at the moment he is playing our level of football with L plates on.

Lots of players with less talent than he has have played good football for us.

Just a case that they were given some support — some have even become cult heroes.

We are an unforgiving lot at the moment.

    Sign of the times?

    __________

slept through the alarm missed the first half but thought the defence looked solid in the second half, Duffy scares me a bit, wont take much for a red, frae the MIB ,in sunny Scotland. its the same every year, we play some of our most important games at the beginning of the season right in the middle of the transfer window.

nightmare scenario for even the best managers to get it right.

we will get better. one week at a time. an away win in Europe take that anyway, anyday.

The Browny situation reminds similarly of big Roy Aitken, who also played near the end persistently when a spell on the bench was required😕

Hi gents – I was thinking Eddie should have been off a good while before he was eventually subbed – half-time probably.

Other option (allowing change in shape) earlier in the game was

    – Moi on for Taylor so someone could get past their right back

    – Ajeti on for Eddie, who was doing very little

    – Brown off, Turnbull on

    – Ntcham bottom of diamond with Turnbull, Christie and McGregor ahead of him

I don’t trust us under attack, or Lennon to change shape, hence change of players

    My top 11 is

    Barkas

    Elhamed Duffy Julienne Taylor

    Forrest Ntcham McGregor

    Frimpong AJer Edouard

Weak link is obviously taylor but helped by the opposition right back shifting it vs Eddie

  20. have to say we have the better players but thems are far better organised/set up and look much fitter than us

  21. Greg played to his strengths.

He tried to skin the defender once and didnae have it in his locker.

He got a 6.5 on my scorecard. Tremendous endeavour.

    You see Frimpong.

    He might be wee.
