ROBERTSON IN CHARGE

DON ROBERTSON will be in charge of the Premiership title decider between Celtic and Hearts at Parkhead on Saturday.

The experienced referee will be assisted by Calum Spence and David Roome on the touchlines while Kevin Clancy will be in the VAR control room.

Coincidentally, Robertson was the match official when the clubs went face to face at the same venue on December 7 when the visitors won 2-1 at the start of Wilfried Nancy’s chaotic 33 days as Hoops boss in which he lost six out of eight games while dropping TWELVE league points in the process.

WELL DONE…Martin O’Neill acknowledges the joyous Celtic support after Celtic’s 3-2 win over Motherwell at Fir Park to set up title grand finale.

Derek McInnes will be up against a different animal this time around with Martin O’Neill providing the opposition with the champions a point behind and bidding for a fifth successive crown.

The Irishman has led to an exciting Premiership crescendo after the dramatic 3-2 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park last night where Kelechi Iheanacho whipped in a VAR-assisted stoppage-time penalty-kick winner.

The Edinburgh outfit coasted to a 3-0 victory over Falkirk at Tynecastle at the same time as the Hoops were involved in a rigorous examination of their strength and character by Jens Berthel Askou’s team.

Now it’s all eyes on the east end of Glasgow in Saturday’s 12.30pm kick-off on a day of destiny.
