Robson’s grit returns to its main stage

Aberdeen last beat Celtic in May 2018, the final game of a league season that saw Celtic win their 7th consecutive title and a result that was required for the visitors to finish second in the table.  Since then, the teams have met 20 times, with the Pittodrie side avoiding defeat on only three occasions.

Recent games have been an exercise in Celtic only just getting the job done.  A 2-0 win on the opening day of the season was the solitary occasion more than a goal has separated the sides in the last 8 outings.

The world changed for Aberdeen on one of those games.  The last time the sides met, in December, an 87th minute Callum McGregor strike turned a potential backs-to-the-wall draw into a dispiriting defeat for manager Jim Goodwin.  After that, the roof caved in.  Home and away defeats to St Mirren paled into insignificant to the 5-0 and 6-0 drubbings at Hearts and Hibs, either side of the Scottish Cup exit at Darvel.

Goodwin made way for Barry Robson as interim manager.  A 3-1 win in their last game, against Motherwell, kept them within a point of the top six, and led to Steven Hammell’s losing his Motherwell job.  No Celtic fans were surprised fortunes picked up when Barry took control.  His grit and professional pride will be out toughest obstacle tomorrow.  Celtic Park has seen its share of his talent.

    With respect mi amigo, CQN will NEVER get back to the hey days when you are banning people for, IMO frivolous posts, you deleted-banned the Canman for what you called political claptrap, these were the kinda posts that CQN thrived and was built on, sadly no more, the cancel culture has gone efin mad, if posters are acting like weans scrolling past is actually quite easy

     

    Maybes we should have a set of rules we have to abide by.

     

    There are loads of folks on here who post utter pish, I am one of them, but in the main I try and follow the blog ethos, yet some posts are deleted for….what, going against the narrative, who’s narrative would that be, yours, Paul’s, I honestly think we should be informed what the new rules are, up to you.

    Been banned from a few places masel, RTC for telling them that the hun would come out of their problems, was cancelled for telling them what they didn’t want to hear, the Alex Thompson blog was going well till I mentioned the goat brigade, was very quickly cancelled, SC for speaking my mind on the scamdemic, whatever anyone thinks about it, I have that right, rightly or wrongly, sadly I have been proven right.

    I was out @ SGW3 for the first time ever at a Judge Jules gig, I’m 50 so ma raving days are Over, anyway a 65year old, Sevco Supporter phoned me and asked……. Whilst @ the Pete Tong gig @ the Hydro before Christmas, If I wanted to go to see “The Judge don’t Budge”.

    The fake email story, the real story is

     

     

    I banned Ernie and a few others for 24 hours after erm, normal nonsense….

     

     

    I got an email I thought was from Ernie Lynch

     

     

    I got 2 added another 2 and made 5 and banned him for life…..

     

     

    Paul67 emailed me a few days later asking what happened

     

     

    I checked back and realised that it was not Ernie that emailed me but another chap

     

     

    Honest

     

     

    I fu%^ed up

     

     

    and apologised firstly to Ernie via email

     

     

    and then to the blog

     

     

    The email Ernie uses to login to the blog is not a working email

     

     

    I then replied to the email Ernie sent to Paul67

     

     

    Thats the facts

     

     

    He is currently unbanned
