LAWRENCE SHANKLAND fired in the winner as Hearts came from behind to beat Danny Rohl’s Ibrox side 2-1 at Tynecastle this evening.
The Edinburgh outfit are three points ahead of Celtic with three games to play and the teams are scheduled to meet at Parkhead in the Premiership crescendo on Saturday May 16.
It is all over for Rohl and his players after expectation levels had gone through the roof. They are seven points adrift of Derek McInnes’ side and only a sensational turn of events could throw them a lifeline.
They can’t expect it at Parkhead on Sunday when they meet the champions who will want to pile on the misery and make it three defeats in a row after the losses to Motherwell at the weekend and Hearts tonight.

OH, NO, DANNY BOY…Ibrox boss Rohl can’t bear to look.
It looked so much rosier when the visitors took the first-half lead in Gorgie in the 23rd minute when Dujon Sterling had a shot deflected by Michael Stienwender past keeper Alexander Schwolow.
But the hosts levelled 10 minutes after the interval when Stephen Kingsley stabbed home after a low drive from Alexandros Kyziridis rebounded from the right-hand post.
Skipper Shankland fired in the points-clincher with a first-time effort following a Blair Spittal left-wing cross in the 71st minute.
Now a three-horse race is down to two.
