BRENDAN RODGERS has emerged victorious on THIRTEEN occasions in his 17 derby duels.
The Celtic manager has also seen his side held on three occasions while suffering a solitary reverse.
Rodgers celebrated again after the Hoops’ 2-1 victory over Philippe Clement’s Ibrox side a fortnight ago as they zeroed in on their third successive title triumph.
With the twelfth crown in 13 years now remaining in the Parkhead trophy cabinet, Rodgers can focus on this afternoon’s Scottish Cup Final meeting with his team’s city rivals.
After the previous win at Parkhead, the Irishman said: “You’re judged on these games, but I’m just happy for the supporters.
FANFARE…Brendan Rodgers salutes the Celtic fans after his latest success over Ibrox rivals.
“I’ve been there. I’ve stood in pubs all over the world or sat in living-rooms nervous as anything about these games. You know the joy and happiness you can bring to the lives of the supporters worldwide on the basis of winning these games.
“So, my record in them makes me proud. But I don’t look back, my job here is to develop the mentality and keep striving to win many more.”
Rodgers is now looking to add a quickfire 14th triumph to his impressive list of Glasgow conquests at the national stadium this afternoon.
