BRENDAN RODGERS hasn’t ruled out a Celtic return for fans’ favourite Paddy Roberts.
However, the Hoops gaffer admitted the talented winger, who is close to completing his 18-month loan spell at Parkhead, will be going back to Manchester City in the summer.
Rodgers said: “In terms of Pat, I work with him every day and everybody sees the qualities he has.
“As a young guy coming into the game, he is an absolutely phenomenal player.
“Manchester City want to take him back, so Pat will go back for pre-season training with them.
“He is the type of player who all the squad and the supporters would love to have here.
“Hopefully, that will be one day in the future.”
Roberts tops Rodgers’ summer shopping list and if a permanent move can’t be agreed this summer then the club is likely to seek a season long loan for the player who is likely to be satisfied watch Manchester City from their bench or even the stands.
