RODGERS IN AUSSIE SWOOP

BRENDAN RODGERS is lining up a loan swoop for Australian World Cup winger Daniel Arzani.

The 19-year-old attacker, who made three appearances in Russia, is finalising a move from Melbourne City to Manchester City before he looks certain to seal a temporary transfer with Celtic.

Dutch aces PSV Eindhoven are also keen on the hot prospect, but the Hoops are favourites and he will take the same route as Patrick Roberts who spent two-and-a-half seasons at Parkhead.

Tom Rogic is an admirer of his fellow-Aussie who was the youngest player to be named in a World Cup squad this summer.

It’s been a quick rise for the Iranian-born winger who didn’t make his first start for Melbourne City until January.
