BRENDAN RODGERS will tonight lead his players into into his 54th European encounter during his two stints as Celtic boss.
It’s matchday six in the Champions League as the Hoops take on Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia and the Irishman is planning for a third win as his team attempt to move closer to a qualifying spot for the next stage of Europe’s elite new-look competition.
This time around, Rodgers has guided his team to a double success at Parkhead with victories over Slovan Bratislava (5-1) and RB Leipzig (3-1).

There have also been draws against Atalanta, 0-0 in Bergamo, and Club Brugge, 1-1 in Glasgow. The one failure was in Germany where the visitors toppled 7-1 against Borussia Dortmund.
Following tonight’s 5.45pm kick-off with Dinamo Zagreb, Celtic will face two games next month to complete the qualifying section. They host Switzerland’s Young Boys under the lights in the east end of Glasgow on Wednesday January 22 and a week later they cross the border to face Aston Villa in the Midlands.
Rodgers has guided the Hoops to 20 wins and 10 draws while losing 23 of his previous 53 outings in charge.
