CELTIC have been linked with former England central defender Steven Caulker.
Brendan Rodgers knows the player well from their time together at Swansea City.
It is believed the Hoops boss has already had talks with Caulker.
Rodgers and the 25-year-old were at the Welsh outfit six years ago and he is in the market for a centre-half following Dedryck Boyata’s injury sustained against Slavia Prague.
Caulker, who has a year left on his contract at Loftus Road, was omitted from QPR’s pre-season tour and has been training on his own in a bid to keep up his fitness.
Celtic have Jozo Simunovic and Erik Sviatchenko available with right-back Mikael Lustig as back-up, but Rodgers realises they are light in that department.
