CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers has declared himself pleased with the form of loan Bhoys Lewis Morgan and Ryan Christie.

The Hoops gaffer paid £300,000 for winger Morgan in the January transfer window before the youngster returned to the Paisley outfit to continue to assist in their battle to return to the Premiership.

The Saints can make certain tomorrow when they face Brechin City at Glebe Park and Rodgers said: “Lewis is close to gaining promotion, the job he was loaned out to finish off at St Mirren.

“Ryan did very well in his last game (the 4-1 win over St Johnstone). In fact, all the boys are doing very well and we’re happy to see them progress.”

Rodgers has admitted Christie will be returning to Parkhead in the new season after spending the last 14 months on a temporary transfer at Aberdeen.

However, Scott Allan, who still has a year of his Celtic contract to run, is likely to remain at Neil Lennon’s Hibs when his deal expires at the end of the campaign.
