CELTIC have raked in almost £1.5million thanks to the efforts of four of their players in the World Cup Finals in Russia during the summer.

Tom Rogic (Australia), Dedryck Boyata (Belgium), Mikael Lustig (Sweden) and Cristian Gamboa (Costa Rica) all starred for their countries in the footballing spectacular.

The Hoops, however, missed out on a cash bonus for winger Daniel Arzani, who made three substitute appearances for the Aussie against France, Denmark and Peru.

The teenager was still registered with Melbourne City at the time of the Finals before his move to Manchester City and subsequent August loan switch to the champions.

Unfortunately, the exciting talent, who agreed a twO-year temporary contract, was injured in his first appearance against Dundee in October and will be ruled out for the remainder of the campaign.

FIFA’s club benefits programme means that a share of the revenue from the tournament is divided among clubs who provided players for the World Cup.
