WIZARD of Oz Tom Rogic, still on a high after his spectacular winner against Kilmarnock, netted two goals in Australia’s 7-0 World Cup romp over Tajikistan in Adelaide today.

The 23-year-old Celtic midfielder made his substitute’s appearance midway through the second-half with his nation already cruising at 4-0.

Within minutes of stepping onto the pitch, he thumped in an unstoppable shot off the underside of the crossbar and only moments later added another with a precise left-foot curling effort.

The Socceroos eased to a one-sided triumph to leave them in pole position in their qualifying group.

Rogic’s midfield team-mate Nir Bitton played the full 90 minutes as Israel were beaten 2-0 by Croatia in a friendly in Osijek last night.

Young Hoops stars Aidan Nesbitt, currently on loan at Partick Thistle, Sam Wardrop and Jack Breslin also featured for Scotland Under-19s as they went down 2-0 to hosts Belgium in a UEFA European Championship Elite Round qualifier.

And Saidy Janko, whose season has been interrupted by injury since his summer arrival from Manchester United, continued his bid for full fitness, playing just under an hour for the Switzerland Under-20s in their 1-1 draw with Germany in Freiburg.
