TOM ROGIC has been spotted in Sydney sparking speculation he is about to return to the Australian A-League.

The 29-year-old playmaker has been without a club since making his farewell appearance for Celtic in the 6-0 win over Motherwell in the final game of the season on May 14.

Socceroos international boss Graham Arnold expressed concern last week about the AWOL Aussie who had failed to respond to text messages, as CQN reported.

IN THE PICTURE…ex-Celt Tom Rogic ‘breaks cover’ to train in Sydney.

But an image of Rogic training in the country’s largest city has surfaced on social media and the Oz head coach, speaking to the local media, confirmed: “I know that Tommy is back in Sydney.

“I’ve obviously been reaching out to Tommy, but we have no further confirmation of what his future is at the moment.

“That’s his agent’s job, to find that new club. But, of course, once he does get that club, I’m sure we’ll speak.”

Rogic’s presence in the city has led to claims he could be poised to end the guessing game about his future and sign for Sydney FC.

He spent a season in the A-League with Central Coast Mariners before moving to the Hoops in January 2013 and then returning to his homeland on a brief loan to Melbourne Victory.

PARADISE FAREWELL…Tom Rogic and Ange Postecoglou pose with the newly-won Premiership silverware after the midfielder’s final appearance at Parkhead on May 14.

Rogic withdrew from the Australia squad for their World Cup play-off against the UAE at the end of May citing “personal reasons”.

He also missed the penalty-kick shoot-out victory in the showdown against Peru as his nation sealed their place in the Qatar World Cup Finals which will kick off on November 21 and conclude on December 18.

Rogic knocked back a lucrative offer from Indonesian champions Persija Jakarta, but could bring a halt to the speculation concerning his club and country future in the next week or so.
