Ronny, this is your starting point

Ronny Deila seems to be more upset at the poor performance yesterday than I was. My expectation on hearing the team matched what we saw. We have taken big steps to turn things around in recent weeks but, Ronny, this is your starting point, and it’s not as high as you might have thought.

Hopefully we’ll be back to something more recognisable as a full squad on Wedenesday, including Wakasooooooo.

Blog on the go this week, email delays too.

Welcome and great post there fella. There is a bigger prize to be won here in changing the culture of our club than a shaky start and the needs of a spoilt support.

I hope we look back on pictures of commons, Griffiths and stokes like we do at fatty Arbuckle standing resplendent in goal a hundred years ago…

    Celts for change…

Let’s hold our nerve. Lots of posters creating lines in the sand over Wednesday or the weekend at the moment which is ridiculous.

I want to see improvement and indeed some stability and if you hear Ronny so does he.

Expect a big team out on Wednesday and a few changes at st mirren preparing us for a big euro night. All sensible but I think some of our players are getting away with murder early season in stuff that is their responsibility…

    Great post Guernica-spot on!

I can’t believe how many “supporters” have made a call on new players and manager already….the age of entitlement is fully upon us

Lennys recent point on footballers being allowed to eat what they want will have done nothing for his job prospects…there’s probably a reason we haven’t been able to keep a decent tempo for the whole game in the last few years

    keep the faith!

From what I’ve seen it seems to be the ramblings of paranoid conspiracy theorists.

One of their gripes is that there was no unique identifying number on each ballot paper. Therefore it stinks that the press could know what proportion of each age group voted. I don’t think they realise this information was collected by a poll.

Two fire alarms at Dundee is poor form but the vote was won by nearly 500,000. Every poll bar one predicted a No win. The bookies paid out early on a No win such was there confidence in a (narrow) No vote.

I think disappointed Yes votes should concentrate on a plan of action to win next time or to ensure Devo Max promises are upheld rather than validating these bizarre conspiracies involving rigged votes and MI5. To be fair, the sensible ones I know are doing that.

  5. Livibhoy @12.13 hrs.

    Amazing and inspirational.

Totally agree with you @12.34 hrs “take stock and sit and think what is important”

I too was in Blackpool over the weekend and I witnessed amazing people with their carers ( Who are also amazing ). Especially one large group from Glasgow and another from Liverpool.

I thought at the time this is the real Glasgow, this is the Glasgow I want to portray to the world.

Ordinary people doing amazing things, demonstrating hope over adversity.

HH and Many thanks for your post..

  6. Agreed big wavy, I’m not pressing the panic button yet, I am concerned and was concerned from the day the appointment was announced that this was a huge step up for Ronny. I must say I like the guy since he came and I desperately want to see him succeed but whilst individual players have as you say let us down, some of the team selections, set ups and substitutions have been very questionable.

  7. Results so far are likely to have an adverse effect on confidence. Constantly undermining the Manager and the players will certainly not help the situation. I do not know if RD and the players read Celtic blogs but even if they do not, negative posts help create a hostile atmosphere at games. Is that what we really want?

I don`t know if RD is going to get it right or not. I do know that we, as a support, are not as supportive as we could be. I am not saying criticism is not allowed. I am saying keep it in perspective and balance it with positives. If you cannot find any of the latter, ther is no hope.
