Ronny wasting his breath

731

Ronny Deila is wasting his breath when trying to warn those who throw pyrotechnics that they damage Celtic’s reputation. That fact is already well established but is irrelevant to those for whom throwing pyrotechnics is part of their football experience.

There is a clash of culture here. ‘The Man’, whether that be Uefa or the Health & Safety Executive, forbids pyrotechnics at football, but the consequences are visited on Celtic, not those who bring the pyrotechnics. No one has been brave enough to put their name to the pyrotechnic culture and I suspect no one ever will.

The last 24 hours has been a huge success for this unclaimed culture; it managed to grab some of the little space alongside the David Bowie news on Radio 5Live this morning, and many other places, adding fuel to the fire, if you pardon the pun. Someone is glowing with an “I did that” sense of achievement, although, of course, he’d never say so openly. It will continue unless the consequences are moved away from Celtic.

Bada. Mast y and Lennon’s Passion, hopefully the SMV, if it was them yesterday, that’s the last of their antics.

Four Green Fields, I was at the Green Brigade football tournament two years ago at Barrowfield and some guys in the SMV were annoying.

Not a great Bowie fan but he’s due respect for knocking back a knighthood.

Lionsroar posted this video earlier. It demonstrates how a club can engage with it’s fan base in a positive way.

Read the statement from the CSA and while I agree that as pyros are banned from stadia we shouldn’t use them as it only causes trouble for our club. Not sure re the health implications though as if the smoke is dangerous why do we use it when celebration a trophy win. Obviously you can’t control the wind so end result is fans breath this pyro smoke also.

BTW the club could easily claw back some of the support it’s lost by coming out and asking why such heavy handed Policing was used yesterday, also asking for proof of Sectarian singing. I was at the game and can honestly say I never heard any during the game.

Mountain or hybrid? Depends what your looking to do. No point in a mountain if you are just using on roads and cycle paths. Chunky tyres will slow you down and at the bottom range they are heavy decker so. A good hybrid for roads and cycle paths but make depends on price range. Personally I’d always recommend a road bike though if you are for staying on the roads. With a decent set of slicks (not to be used on ice or snow). Again depends on price range but you will get a decent road or hybrid for 1 to 1.5k with various makes in range. Always speak to a couple of your local independent bike dealers to get a feel for a bike you like. I’d also always recommend Dales in Glasgow who are great for advice and fitting foryourbike. If you just want plug n play then the Boardman range from Halfords is decent.

No idea on SMV, I do see the vast majority of GB all now wear a green parka type jacket with a GB emblem – I have watched them being filmed on 3 occasion now ( in last 2 months) as they walk up to the ground from the Celtic Club on the London Rd

  6. To counter the GB and the SMV I started up a gang 6 months ago……the MABs. Miserable Auld Bastards……….The idea behind it was to rampage through towns and villages doin absolutely nothin. “Write about that” I challenged the rags……but because anybody I asked to join was a miserable auld bastard they just told me to feck off…..so I rampaged through towns and villages doin nothing masel………still didn’t make the papers….ah must be dain sumthin wrang

  7. Thanks D

Something just to keep a semblance of fitness, ankle goosed since op, and will not be getting any better :-(

Was actually looking at a Voodoo in Halfords – was originally looking at a Carrera mountain bike, but they say Voodoo much better for needs and very good spec for the money (Hybrid)

The guy actually said better value than Boardman

  9. The blog has been infiltrated by spurious hun posters. The GB, get them to F***, they do nothing for me. All other, supposed, Ultra Fanatic Assholes, If you want to close Celtic CFC down, you are doing a fantastic job. Maybe we should all support the Zombie FC. That is what the purification supporters are what we should be doing. MY ARSE. HH

Cowiebhoy, they were definitely not GB. I thought they were a team to start with then I realised they were! Definitely all wearing the same gear and not cheap either but a ned is a ned no matter how much you dress him up! They reminded me of those Manure crowd who all dressed in black and caused bother when we played them in the CL.

  11. Cowiebhoy-Turkey is a place i wouldn’t go to watch a game, hope you are well, and up and running now HH

  12. Dallas….

The MABs will congregate at the corner of the superstore opposite CQN corner and moan at fellow CQNrs as they walk past…….the constant moaning at each home game between fellow supporters is bound to knock “flares and sectarianism” off the front pages in no time

    Never heard of the Voodo.

Again I would advise talking to a couple of your local dealers. These guys are generally a bit more cycle enthusiast than those you meet in Halfords who I’ve found at times can just be sales guys. Defo a wee hybrid over a mountain though for fitness. You don’t want to be struggling with a heavy mountain bike with high resistance heavy tyres with a dodgy ankle.

Also make sure your bike setup is correct, seat height, handle bar height, correct frame size purchased for your height and leg length. All important. You can cause all sorts of aches and pains with bad setup.

  15. With all the new technology regarding fertility recently,

a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth.

When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.

‘May I see the new baby?’ I asked

‘Not yet ,’ She said ‘I’ll make coffee and we can chat for a while first.’

Thirty minutes had passed, and I asked, ‘May I see the new baby now?’

    ‘No, not yet,’ She said.

After another few minutes had elapsed,

I asked again, ‘May I see the baby now?’

‘No, not yet,’ replied my friend.

    Growing very impatient,

I asked, ‘Well, when can I see the baby?’

‘WHEN HE CRIES!’ she told me.

    ‘WHEN HE CRIES?’ I demanded.

‘Why do I have to wait until he CRIES?’

‘BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM, O.K.?’
