Ronny wasting his breath

731

Ronny Deila is wasting his breath when trying to warn those who throw pyrotechnics that they damage Celtic’s reputation. That fact is already well established but is irrelevant to those for whom throwing pyrotechnics is part of their football experience.

There is a clash of culture here. ‘The Man’, whether that be Uefa or the Health & Safety Executive, forbids pyrotechnics at football, but the consequences are visited on Celtic, not those who bring the pyrotechnics. No one has been brave enough to put their name to the pyrotechnic culture and I suspect no one ever will.

The last 24 hours has been a huge success for this unclaimed culture; it managed to grab some of the little space alongside the David Bowie news on Radio 5Live this morning, and many other places, adding fuel to the fire, if you pardon the pun. Someone is glowing with an “I did that” sense of achievement, although, of course, he’d never say so openly. It will continue unless the consequences are moved away from Celtic.

Just so we’re clear here …… I have no issue with songs of Irish Freedom ……. when Flower of Scotland is banned, I will no longer listen to my Irish songs, commemorating Independence ……

  2. The situation regards flares or smoke bombs is pretty simple. These Morons who set this things off are damaging my club, in the pocket which means out of my season ticket monies which could be put to better use and reputationally.

We know the media in Scotland is biased beyond belief so they will use this “incident” as a stick to beat us with, they will never evenhandedly report on second Rangers in the same way.

The Celtic Supporters Association are against this, the club and every reasonable person I know is pissed off with the constant bad publicity these people bring to our door.

    Stop it now please!!!!!

I’m sure you know I didn’t suggest the board spend 50-60m and ramp up the debt but we could and should have been banking Champions League money in the years since the bigots were liquidated , making us stronger for when the Tribute Act arrived in the same league as us .

We didn’t bank that money because the board downsized , if we had invested sensibly and stood up for what is right then crowds would not have dropped so much and we would be in a stronger position all round .

    ——————————————————————————————————————————————————–

We SHOULD have qualified for the last two CL competitions – was it the board’s fault that we squandered a good away result at Maribor, or, that we ‘shot ourselves in the foot’ when 3-1 up against Malmo.

The management and players came up short and that is the it – how we would have performed in the CL is of course a frightening prospect, however the money should have been banked – we ‘shit’ it in both second legs.

Of course I don’t believe that you would want to have £50/60 million debt.

Just think if we had qualified and had not lost the treble by a shocking decision, and were in, as we are, all current domestic competitions – we would be having the time of our lives.

Failings ON THE PITCH are what has cost us over the last two years – NOT in the boardroom.

without fighting with one another for ten minutes. “Sixty is the worst age to be,” announced the

sixty year old. “You always feel like you have to pee. And most of the time, you stand at the

toilet and squeeze and squeeze and two drops if I am lucky!” “Ah, that’s nothing,” said the

seventy year old. “When you’re seventy, you can’t take a crap anymore. You take laxatives, eat

bran – you sit on the toilet all day and push and push and push and if I am lucky two rabbit

pellets comes out !” “Actually,” said the eighty year old, “Eighty is the worst age of all.”

“Do you have trouble peeing too?”, asked the sixty year old. “No … not really. I pee every

morning at 6AM. I pee like a race horse , yellow and bubbly – no problem at all.” “Do you have

trouble taking a crap?”, asked the seventy year old. “No, not really. I have a great bowel

movement every morning at 6:30. Nice and soft and long – regular like ” With great

exasperation, the sixty year old said, “Let me get this straight. You pee every morning

at six o’clock and take a crap every morning at six thirty. What’s so tough about being eighty ?”

To which the eighty year old replied, “I don’t wake up until ten.”

heres the trick, there was no pyro, it was and always is smoke bombs but the hysterical clowns always go for the flares because they for whatever reason think its more of a problem, thats why they make the distinction ?

The smoke bombs are manufactured to ensure the least dangerous and don’t cause problems for people with breathing problems there are plenty of non-toxic makes but don’t let the truth get in the way of a good scaremongering eh.

I do remember that, and thought it was just keyboard bully talk? But if it isn’t , and it was a challenge, well that’s a different story, I’m not shutting up now, so what is this younger faster stronger mans next move, the balls in your court, but I would be very careful what you do with this challenge , and I find it rather unusual on a blog, but go ahead, let’s see it, as it was you who brought it up.

  24. Smokies is it? A wee trip to Arbroath then….aye!

Plenty of coverage in the press of smoke bombs, but starangely no mention of the stink bombs over at AyeBrokes, eh? Whit??!! That’s jist their natural smell??? Awwww FFS….!!!

  25. Canamalar or should I call you John? If you remember I sent my shares for you to use during the Resolution 12 situation.

I don’t post much on this blog because I think it has descended into a forum for personal abuse, many feel the same so my thoughts on our team and board are shared regularly with my friends and brother who actually attend games to avoid conflict on here.

You are one who it seems to me, goes out of his way to attract conflict on here, fill your boots, I don’t have time to debate endless nonsense on here.

The people who set off flares do it knowing it will harm the club, they need to stop, full stop!

    There you are toadily..,

So I think I can safely say you did physically assault the Celtic supporter who turned up at the brazen to try and reason with you, and you knowing their profession would likely stop them retaliating, took the liberty.

The ball has always been in my court clown, and I’ll choose how to play it. You dont really think you have any influence on my decision making really, do you, your thicker than I thought.

Before I head off to work

Feeling more than a little melanxholy as its the anniversary of my dad’s passing. 27 years and in the not too distant future more than half my life will have passed without him being here. As I say a melancholy thought.

He never took Celtic quite as seriously as I did- though seriously enough- but I wonder, as I often do, what he would make of Celtic and those who follow them. Me? I know we have a pretty ordinary team ( at best) and a manager who seems at the moment to be out of his depth but I still want us to win and so on Sunday I found myself somewhat defkated as I made my way back to my bus.

I did not think the fans who let off smoke bombs or sang what now appear to be proscribed songs were too smart and could have anticipated the media storm. It does not matter that I personally don’t mind pyros or the songs- they are obviously a no-no and as such I would expect some savvy. But then I was young and daft once.

But for me much more depressing was the attitude of many in the sport epitomised by some tit who badgered me anda friend on the road back to the bus. This moron – about my age- seemed to be enragedd that I had quite enjoyed my day and the wee win for getting the coreect score and delighted in telling us he had left after 43 minutes to go to the pub. I understand people who have fdecided to boycott Celtic – even if I do not agree with them- but this arrogant lout is typical of many in our suppiort who now seem to actively despise Celtic. I am not an idiot and as I say I know how poor we are but I still like us.I wish these joyless types would eff off as, they much more than young idiots and a mediocre team, will make me stop going. It was not like this when I went with my dad
