There would have been no surprise reading Ronny Deila’s ‘heaven and hell’ season in the Celtic View. It must have been an enthralling season for the manager but, good grief, it started with an 8.6 on the Strachan Early Season Scale.
These experiences mark us. We’ve watched footballers and managers grow weary (another word for lazy) in the past, as their early groundwork waned during good times, but memories like Legia or Maribor will inform every decision Ronny Deila makes for the next four months. He needs to use that ‘Never again’ month as fuel right now.
Did you sign the petition yesterday to demand the Scottish Government repeal their ill-conceived nonsense of a law which the entire country outside of Holyrood, and a few elites at Police Scotland, know is an abomination? If not, here’s your chance.

Zbyszek –
I agree. I would not want Celtic v Legia again next season. It is too soon and the Scottish media would turn it into a war. I hope both clubs can qualify for group stage.
When is the Polish League Championship play-off?
Should we ask for the same Masonic cabal to officiate at the ICT game as the one that cheated us out of the treble?
zbyszek
We really need to get you to meet Ronnie D soon so he can benefit from all your detailed info. Legia looked a really good team last year.
Happy birthday to you. And all other CQNers who have got a wee bit older today!

We start this weekend and finish on June, 7. Each team from top 8 has to play one game against the other. Legia Warsaw are top of the table with one point more than Lech Poznan. We are only one point better but Lech are weaker than that difference would suggest. This is my opinion of course.
petition signes, 696 left for 5000
Only back in Ireland for a couple of days, but everyone I have spoken to is up for the bhoys coming over.
It is going to be some weekend.
Sorting out things will post towards the end of next week.
Anyway a taste of Dublin…

So is it and end of season split like in Scotland, rather than play-offs?
Hi Zbyszek
I hope you are having a great day.
I also hope Celtic don’t meet Legia in next seasons CL.The media in Scotlaind would have a field day.
I am just back from Barcelona were I got speaking to a Polish waiter about football matters.
We were discussing the play-off game with Legia & Lech Poznan.
The subject of last seasons game against Legia came up and to put it mildly he has got no time for Celtic whatsoever and he made it quite clear.i even explained to him rules are rules
but to no avail.
HH.
Zico-you have text :)
Zico-Maltese Bhoy, thank you
jamesgang, thank you
I would be useless advisor when it comes to who fits Celtic becouse I do know nothing about Scandinavian players. Berget would have no chance.
That Legia striker Orlando Sa scores goal every 90 minutes of play. The problem is he does not fit Legia system becouse we do not play typical striker.

BIG GAME HUNTERS OUT FOR THE DAY.
Zbyszek
Happy Birthday .
Tom
Stupid system here. We play two game against each, one away and one home. After that they split the league for top 8 who fight for the title and 8 who fight for no relegation. The trick is, they divide points by 2 after first run.
zbyszek
So what kind of striker do you play if not a ‘typical’ one?

Mo Bangura?
Maybe it’s too simplistic a solution,
However, there must be possibilities to strike an agreement with Van Dijk and his agent that he should stay til the January window. If Celtic fail to qualify, and are operating in Europa, then the big man can go with everyone’s best wishes. And I would suspect as part of the agreement, Celtic don’t overprice Van Dijk, should this eventuality be the case.
In a best case scenario, Celtic are performing well in the group stages, with a chance of last 16 qualification, then the big man would obvious be inclined to stay the full season
By same token, surely Man City wouldn’t begrudge a similar arrangement with Denayer. Surely the promise of champs league group stages, is a better carrot than a full season in the English championship.
In addition I think Celtic should sign this summer the future replacements for Van Dijk and Denayer. Bed the new guy(s) in, and if both players depart at Xmas, then we have their replacements already on board.
bamboo, thank you, Sir.
Zico-Maltese Bhoy
Legia is in Poland like Celtic in Scotland. Football fans in the other places don’t like Legia, many hate our club. Th guy with who you spoke was from here I guess.
Ninety percent of that what your press said after the game were lies. There was only one thing we could not understand and forget – why after good meetings before the game, dinners, nobody at Celtic had enough courage to pick up the phone, answer emails, when mistake came out? Everybody would understand if someone has picked up the phone and said “f@@@ off Legia”. I have also my personal dissapiontment that prefer to keep for myself.
Anyway, that is history, this is gone.
Excathedra 44………….Good for you. Have a great day and a winning one.
Celtic played 16 games in Europe this season by my estimation – a helluva lot of football..
I was lucky enough to see the govan mobs final decent into lower playoff position with the dubai loyal last week. I stayed on for beer not anticipating I would be celebrating a championship in the company of the brown brogue collective. What joy !
This week has anyone got any suggestions for the aberdeen game on Sunday in Shanghai ?
This travelling salesman caper make supporting the hoops even more of a challenge ?
Any Shanghai hoops clubs ?
Alan Muir, the man who doesn’t know the difference between head & hand will officiate QOS v Zombies on Saturday, operation ‘get the Rangers promoted’ well and truly underway, Steven McLean will probably do the 2nd leg!!
ruggygman-good ideas there,i think VVD was told if he stayed in January ,he could go in Summer,just my theory.I hope we can keep him for CLQs,then it’s his choice.As for guys who say he is not good enough for EPL top 4 ,i give you

You are quite correct about what you say about our press.As you know on here they get slated many times.I was only saying to you that I had met this Legia fan and he should his distaste of Celtic to me in a big way,that is his prerogative.i do not expect every supporter I meet to also like Glasgow Celtic.And what happened between The Celtic Chairman and The Legia chairman was out of the fans hands.
My post to you was not meant to offend you in anyway.And for your personal disappointment that will be for you to keep to yourself.True it is History that is gone.

Top scorers
Orlando Sa, 11 goals, STRIKER who is for off, costs 1 m euros, scoring ratio 1 goal every 90 minutes
Duda , 5 goals, MIDFIELDER, has offers in the range 8 million euros
Kucharczyk, 5 goals , WINGER
Radovic, 5 goals, ATTACKING MIDFIELDER, not anymore with us
Zyro, 5 goals, WINGER, has offers in the range 5 million euros
Then, there are really plenty who scored two or one goal.
Bobbio
Wheesht! I’d only just forgotten!

Cheers for the info. If I remember correctly I thought Kucharczyk Was impressive.

zbyszek,
Happy Birthday,
Always enjoy your posts,
Ryan Air from Poland to Dublin next year?
Would never happen but could you imagine if the zombies were denied promotion due to a refereeing decision like or semi final one. Yeah evens there selves out would be accepted.
Zbyszek
A striker who scores every 90 minutes seems to be the kind of typical striker that I like.
Such a non typical striker would have scored about 50 goals for Celtic this season
:o)
Barely a mention of politics the entire day of a general election.

clogher celt, thank you. Who knows, maybe.

Taking into account Legia and Legia supporters, Celtic not answering did the worst thing they could.
On the other hand, Legia owners and supporters did the worst thing they could when did not take into account that Celtic is not one man show and one mans business. This could be solved very easy on time. I can’t understand why it was not solved correctly. Damage on both sides.

RAI’s London correspondent predicting a Hung Parliament and days and days of you scratch my back and I will scratch yours stuff .. Very apt description of the who is prepared to get into bed with who stuff using that great movie –The Sweet Smell of Success -and the relationship between cynical ole Burt Lancaster and super creepy -Tony Curtis ——

Off oot to the beach — the cooncil are about to spray the area with anti mosquito stuff . Want to make sure I am downwind of that stuff.
~~~~~~~~~~++~~~~~~~~~~
Any chance you can send them cooncil lads over here shortly,bud?
Not so much for mosquitoes,but for an unexplained plague of gnats.
No problem down here in Swindon,of course,but I’m pretty sure they’ll be insufferable when I’m back home in autumn(!)
Yes, but Orlando Sa is not Scandinavian :-)
Kucharczyk was on Celtic radar some years ago and could play for Celtic, as Robert Lewandowski could.
Did anyone comment on the third Barca goal last night?
An IDENTIKIT situation to our non-third at Hampden against the Zombies.
Craig Thopsom called LG back when he was clean through, for a foul on Broony as he released the pass.
Exactly what happened last night, WITHOUT the CHEATING.
Craig Thopmpson, never let it be fogotten – CHEATING Hun Monkey.
Is the QoS v Z playoff 1st leg on Saturday?
What a hoot if they fail miserably again. What an atmosphere at Pittodrie on Sunday as both sets of fans can give it to them large on live TV.
Can you imagine the stands at the Death Star a week on if they lose out over 2 legs? The Morlocks will be spontaneously combusting.
Popcorn on the hob, schadenfreude raising hairs on the back of my neck, let the hilarity ensue, topped off in a few weeks by the sight that’ll have their eyes bleeding- Broony thrusting that Champions trophy towards the skies.
It’s very good to be a Tim these days.
