    Ive had a wee look at the Bookies odds for BOTH Horses and it looks like MILITARY MISSION is around 30/1……and SERPERTINE is around 40/1 ?

     

    If correct, those are GOOD Odds for EACH WAY Bets ?

     

     

    The MELBOURNE CUP will be run on TUESDAY NOV.7th at 3pm AEDT Time.

     

     

    What ” Time” is that in SCOTLAND….Does anyone know ?

    Good article by James Forrest on the theme of jersey pulling in the box. Echoes my thoughts entirely. Pre-VAR the referee could easily miss such incidents in a crowded area. Post-VAR the technology provides no such excuse. But we are all over the shop in Scozia.

     

     

    Simplicity is an underrated skill in life. Any idiot can complicate. Put simply jersey pulling in the box is either a penalty or its not. With VAR it’s possible to catch almost all such incidents. Discretion shouldn’t come into it.

     

     

    Goldson won a game changing penalty last week. The issue isn’t whether the offence was a foul or not. The issue is whether Boyce would have won a penalty had Goldson pulled him in exactly the same way – nothing more, nothing less. We all know the answer.

     

     

    Oh yesterday was jersey pulled = no penalty. We pay, and pay plenty, for this VAR rubbish. We need to drill down on this jersey pulling stuff and ask for clarification. If the powers that be contend that every jersey pull in the box isn’t a foul, then they should clearly distinguish between incidents that are from those they say are not, and fully explain the basis of their arguments.

    In the past 11 years Rangers have won one solitary cup. In the past 4 years St Johnstone have won 2 cups.

    So far as I can recall.

     

    Up until now .

     

     

    Young Yang Ha’s not produced a goal ,a goal assist ,or had a decent shot on target .

     

     

    He has had many step overs ,off target shots ,over dribbled ,

     

     

    He has the physique,and good dribbling skills ,but to succeed his decision making and final ball must improve .

     

     

    Compare with Palma.

    Interesting to see Athletico encouraging visiting fans to go on their stadium tour. It does look pretty cool but I noticed several former players from 74 in their hall of fame including Garate who scored the decisive goal to give them a lead in the second leg with about 15 mins to go I recall.

     

     

    Not sure it would be euros well spent really.

     

     

    So good though that Brendan clearly is prioritising this game and clearly has a belief we can get something. A draw here and a win v misfiring Lazio in Italy might give us the chance we deserve.
