I only play blackball ,when I play .

Which is about 4 times a year.

At 60 my back and eyesight aren’t what they were.

    I do enjoy it though.

I think that Ath Mad will be too strong for us at home.

I expect them to win by 2 or more .

Lazio in Rome on the other hand is winnable if we take our chances ,big Joe makes some saves ,and Brendan can find a counter attacking formation .

I did the AM tour last year. The museum is not a patch on Benfica (the best I’ve seen), and yes the 74 team is represented on the walls. Pictures of the CP game too.

I started to look at our “longest serving” records.

McNairs 21 seasons is rought out there.

But the above is McGrorys goalscoring seasons for celtic, (missing out his one season loan at clydebank.

All competitons including glasgow and charity.

    501 games

    521 goals

    15 seasons,

7 caps, 6 goals, scotland won every match he played in.

Interesting to see Atletico encouraging visiting fans to go on their stadium tour. It does look pretty cool but I noticed several former players from 74 in their hall of fame including Garate who scored the decisive goal to give them a lead in the second leg with about 15 mins to go I recall. Not sure it would be euros well spent really.

*In July 2009 I took a trip to Madrid, the reason I can recall that is the headlines in the local papers was Real signing Karim Benzema who I honestly never had a clue was, but I followed his amazing career after that.

The purpose of our trip was to visit one of our daughters who was teaching over there, we also took on Seville Granada and flew over tae Marrakesh, anyway we did the on of bus tours in all locations, but I believe that there are 2 in Madrid, one cultural which included museums palaces etc and 1 for me with the Bernabeau being the highlight.

On our way there we passed a sign that indicated the scums ground so Mrs. TT said tae me are we goin there tae which I dourly replied that I would rather go tae the bigot dome than there and explained why even though it was 35 year had passed since then, we did get to see the plazas where both sets of supporters go tae celebrate their relevant victories and even that left a sour taste in my mouth, so I could NEVER forgive or forget that night of thuggery NEVER EVER.

    19 seasons with appearances,

17 of them with goal scoring, remarkable.

in that last season 79/80 he managed to score 15 goals.

    I agree. I wasn’t suggesting it wasn’t a penalty.

Just found it ironic that the eagle eyed VAR official could spot a slight pull on a player in that position but they couldn’t see the guy nearly ripping Oh’s shirt from his back right in front of goal yesterday .

I think the VAR can be summed up nest in the old saying “there are none so blind as those who do not wish to see”.

  11. FAVOURITE UNCLE on

COCHRANE of HEARTS tugs GOLDSONS jersey in box and he did not throw himself down . How stupid are these players after last week have they not learned .

If anyone wants more football the copa libertadores final is on the bbc.

Watching it you can understand why a young Argentine left back might be struggling to get to grips with Scottish football.

Shocking ref performance in the biggest game in South American football but nobody seems bothered

    ……………………

Watched the game last night. For me the only thing worse than the Ref’s performance was Pat Nevin’s co-commentary. He laughed, giggled and made snide comments throughout the game. He totally disrespected the occasion. Had he done that during the CL final there would be ructions. Thankfully, David Bryant was professional throughout.

  13. TSOB

couldn’t agree more on Nevin’s ‘commentary’ another witless wonder who as you say scoffed, sneered and giggled his way through the end of the match and extra time which I saw.

At one point he said that he had no idea what the tactics were of both teams, clown! Not too difficult to understand; one team looking for an equaliser the other defending the lead, he must have seen that in a football match before surely?!

  14. The statistical probability of a SEVCO penalty must defy scientific explanation …similarly the chance of them conceeding one 🤣🤔
