  1. Are we sure Union SG rested a few players last night ? Scary that Boli and chums put 3 past them.

  2. Good morning, friends. Just had a look at the ole Inbox and delighted that there are already 47 emails sitting for me, hopefully all with 3 players names in them. Whilst that’s a decent enough number to be representative there’s still over 10 hours left to vote so don’t be shy – sencelpoty@gmail.com

  3. Am thinking Cathy o brien is Kevj in transition.

Joe Craig scores a beautiful winner as Celtic beat Rangers 1-0 in 1976. Dalglish & Aitken involved in the build up

    Trivia

Joe Craig appeared in front of the SFA Referees Committee for a sending off when he was still with Partick Thistle. He was given a severe censure and told not to appear in front of the committee again.

The bookies and everyone had problems calling this one. Rangers were slipping up this season and Celtic were on the rebuild.

A Glasgow transport strike saw many of the fans from both sides walking to the ground for this Wednesday night game and kept the attendance down.

    An unchanged team for Celtic.

Jim Steele on loan from Southampton to Rangers – the Loan Ranger – said in an interview with The Herald about this game:“The manager, Jock Wallace, comes in, says, ‘all right, lads’ and walks straight through. I’m thinking, ‘don’t tell me we’re not getting a team talk?’ Then Willie Waddell comes in and goes: ‘Right, you know who you’re playing today. There’s only one thing to say: ‘No surrender!’. We got beat 1-0.”

Bobby Lennox is carried off with a broken leg after a challenge by John Greig in the penalty area. The referee gave a penalty then changed his mind when the linesman flagged for offside.

By all accounts USG made 7 changes from their starting 11 during the week …

Mon the Hibees … hopefully a wee Hibernian victory with both teams scoring in the Edinburgh derby

Joe Craig ( four or five goals in )

    utterly brilliant.

    a few tings strike me,

my first huns game was 2nd april 1980 aitken cross mcgarvey goal. i was not allowed to go before then,

i was a regular attender really from 75/ 76 on, age 10, allthough got to some games every season before that.

in a weird way i havnt got stick out memories of kenny dal, a few but not as much as some tell me.

watching those games, he was an ultimate hun skelper wasnt he,

    how many goals and assists.

so much for growing up a supporter he didnt half enjoy putting them to the sword (as dis danny)

  7. second thought ,

how quickly it went from 120,00 at hampden, 80,000 at ibrox and celtic park to sub 55,000.

  8. Porteous doing his impersonation of a 40yo playing Sunday league football trying to clear his lines for hearts goal.

Back in the day Dalglish McGrain Auld Wallace Gemmell Stein Peacock and many more made Celtic a normal football club.

There were no policies just great footballers

Stein used it to full advantage, HunSkelpers in more ways than one?

  10. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

Teams who attempt to injure our players?

    Hit them in their pocket.

Us fans – Don’t go to away games.

If we have a home draw in cups against them?

The club – Sell tickets at £10 full / £5 concession and charge a fortune for ticket admin (bring extra ticket staff in to ostensibly process these while dealing with ST backlog, CL ticket planning, training, paperwork, shredding, paper clip inventory)

Hand them a cheque for buttons.

  11. Had both teams to score in the Toulouse v Nice game

    There’s only 1 Aaron Ramsey :-)

  12. Thought Beaton was inept/biased/cheating when he refereed Celtic, but this ‘performance for Hearts today is taking it to a whole other level! But Boyle just nullified all Beatons best efforts there at the end…

  13. Hibs done well getting Martin boyle back from Saudi, they are much better with him in team.

  14. Sftb

Was sure I predicted 0-1 so when Hibs scored I thought merde ,- just checked and in fact I went for 1-1 🤣

    Fourstonecoppi

I think the manager is the least of their problems.

  15. Hibs deserved their late equaliser, and they don’t get much later than Boyle arriving late last night, coming on as a late sub and even later in the six yard box to score late on.

  16. Tom McLaughlin on

I thought the Edinburgh derby was a good, competitive contest played by two teams going at each other for 95 minutes and Hibs deserved the late, late equaliser.

It’s not often a player fluffs a good chance in stoppage time and gets a second chance and takes it.

  17. some thoughts following yesterday’s victory,

G Taylor gives his all , seems to be the target for some nasty tackles.

M Jenz , settled into team very well , we could have a player here.

Jota , more productive when playing on the left.

J Hart , fabulous save at the free kick.

we are a delight to watch .

  18. Tom McLaughlin on

    RC

Agree re Jota on the left.

Next Sunday I would relegate Maeda to the bench, start with Jota on the left and Abada on the right.

  19. Just listened to Ange’s post match interview when he was asked about the players ‘deloading the legs’ – bullshit bingo in action.

  20. carpe diem 63 on

Per hot smoked comment , totally concur , no more British Bigot Corporation for me also .

  21. Tom McLaughlin on

I have to say I never go to the BBC website for football news or match reports. Last place I would go.

Man U 0-2 down to Brighton after 40 mins.

  22. We’ll be seeing quite a lot of the low block and for me, you need players with end product to get through these games. Abada has end product in spades despite sometimes being anonymous. Maeda is a great squad player, gives his all but his end product isn’t where it should be. I’d play Abada next weekend.

  23. B78.

    Bobby ‘oor baw’ tait? :-)

    The R ight(dis) H ounarable Davidson ?

Jeez don’t tease us,it’s a toughie to think of,

There are so many of the cheatinh brithirz!

Their legacy still on show yesterday

Watch the game again, you just come away with one comment so many times-why not even a yellow there?

It would be good as fans to know if Celtic Act.

Or feedback in some shape or form.

What will it take a leg break? Some other serious

    swinjin challenge.

    A wee mistimed second and

    Taylor,M,oR Jota,kyogo and others.

    Could have been injured.
