Huns dodged a big bullet when Haaland was injured at Dortmund 2-0

    …………………………………………………

Pep is Evolving his team again. Celtic went toe to toe with Man Citie before and done alright, they were on a remarkable run @ that time. Celtic curtailed that. :)

I agree with SFTB’s post earlier about Starters&Finishers.

With Ange&Callum leading the Bhoys. I think this is gonnae be some Season.

    Excited.

The CL nights cannae come quick enough. :))

  2. Surprised DU lost at home to Livi especially after Thursday’s performance. Ex Vale player Montana scoring for Livi..

Crowd of only 7500 – where were the other thousands who were there Thursday

  3. Bias and the bbc knows no bounds.

We watch diving because an English guy is in with a chance and then summarise about Engerland, then preview Engerland tomorrow and no mention that Scotland has young Grace Reid competing now.

Instead we see the national anthem and the hockey team. British broadcaster joke.

The Huns dodged a bullet with only 10,000 fans allowed in at the Dortmund game …

Covid was terrible for many but kind to the Huns in many forms

    no fans = no pressure

  5. So on the one hand all of us reckon we have found a tremendous manager in Ange while on the other hand some are questioning his ability to decide whether JJ is a better RB than Ralston. Do you think somehow his judgement is flawed?

  6. Last reminder. Over 50 have voted so I’m delighted by that. But happy to do a bit more counting between now at 10pm – a couple of the minor places are too close to call ;-)

    One email – 3 players’ names – simples! SENCELPOTY@GMAIL.COM

  7. P.S. I love big Tony’s transformation but if Ange prefers to start JJ, a top international player, I assume he has reasons for that. They’ll both get plenty of games though I imagine JJ will be selected for the CL opener all things being equal.

  8. BrianF

It’s about opinions – Ange currently prefers JJ to start.

Who knows what’ll happen next game

  9. Anthony has really kicked on but Josip is the Numero Uno with whit I can see.

I cannae see Kent being at the Hate Factory beyond the Summer, He is the biggest danger when we play Newco. I want Josip dealing with him, Anthony will do 2.

  10. I expect our resident polemicists wll be composing screeds of garble to entertain us tomorrow.

A supporter can have a preference for one player over another that contradicts the preference of the manager without necessarily attempting to undermine the authority of the manager. It’s all about opinions at the end of the day.

  12. Tom MC – of course. Just having a bit of fun, I can’t understand how any manager can stick Jota on the right. Must be blind.

Leader off, of the polemicists paid a visit at HT on live updates and left a FF post.

  14. The facts are the guy Ange prefers is full back for a top 10 national team in the world. A team which was finalist in the last World Cup.

The facts are Anthony’s transformation is one alm Celtic supporters are delighted with but he cannot even hold down a place in Scotlands national team. His stats over last season were really strong but not as strong as JJ who was coming to a new country and even played out of position for a brief period.

    Both are excellent.

We are lucky to have this choice.

    Here is a question ??

Would Tav pen get a game for us ?

  15. Good victory for us at weekend, can’t complain at start to season easy as it is. Hopefully there is some movement out for MJ, Ajeti and jullien. Boys like shaw and Robertson would benefit from moving on also that will allow a couple more players in.

Regarding vile songs by celtic fans, the msm have got to be taking the piss given the songbook of many football teams in scotland which includes chants of peodo, big jock knew, Jimmy Saville one of your own, the famine is over why don’t you go home, up to our knees in fenian blood, celebrating the death of celtic and scotland greats etc. yet the msm remain silence. If your gonna call it out call it all out, otherwise you look like a hypocrite.

It’s terrible singing songs about the dead, not sure it’s any worse than singing songs about victims/ survivors of peodophilia.

  16. Week 2 in Superbru has seen joint winners with 12.5 points. Congrats to Tirconnel and Big Archie. Edging out third place was Greenpinata. Ayrshire Tim’s total of 14.5 remains the leader in the weekly total race. Wardybhoy and Park Road67 were holding up the table but computer has arbitrarily awarded the wooden spoon to Park Road.

In the overall race, Big Archie has jumped into the lead with Ayrshire Tim in 2nd and Greenpinata third. Massive jump of 39 places by Tirconnel. Wee BGFC is managing to hold off strong opposition for bottom spot.

For week 3 – all six games take place at 3pm on Saturday next. Remember to get your predictions in on time and thanks for your support. I will try to get the finances sorted over the next two weeks or so.

    @5.30

Some of your multiple personalities have a strong attraction towards white supremacists and fascists. Very strange for a Socialist.

    ““““““`

Sorry, don’t know who, or where “Kev”is, still living in your head by the looks of it, lucky him eh.

White supremacist vs White replacement, up to you, just know that you are on the list as well, maybe about time you cut your apron strings?

Whatever, take care, its kind of scary outside.

  18. The massive attempt by our media to give the scum a touch of feel good factor continues.Scum, since 1955,yes,1955,have contributed more coefficient points than us.

Would it not be better to highlight the glaring innacuracies they have been spouting for weeks, that its all down to the scum we have direct entry to CL.,when over the recorded period,we have won the most coefficient points, rather than feed the scum ego with blatant lies.

  19. Anyone know how the Hearts goal today was given to Shankland when it’s clearly an OG by Porteuos, just going by previous standards for Celtic strikers

  20. *** SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2022-23 ***

RESULTS FROM GAME #2 – ROSS COUNTY 1 CELTIC 3 (KYOGO, JENZ, ABADA)

We never seem to get it easy up in Dingwall and yesterday’s game was no different. Whether the low camera angle makes it look even more crowded on the pitch I don’t know but I didn’t see too much free flowing football over the 90 minutes. Or, to be more correct, over the 65-70 minutes that I did see! While my picture was down, I missed both the Ross County equaliser and Joe Hart’s great save from a free kick. But having caught both later on Sportscene, neither would have altered my own decision for top 3. So, it was a hard won but thoroughly deserved 3 points to see us remain at the top of the league looking down on the Sevco and the Maximum is still on!!

Another 3 really good goals with Jota involved in all 3. That’s now 5 league goals and 5 different scorers.

And so to the voting and thanks for another great response. A big thank you to the 61 who took the time to vote. The total votes cast for each player (with my own choices asterisked) are as follows –

    Hart: 14

    Juranovic: 0

    Carter-Vickers*: 17

    Jenz: 32

    Taylor: 22

    McGregor*: 14

    O’Riley: 7

    Turnbull: 0

    Jota*: 60

    Kyogo: 8

    Maeda: 0

    Abada: 4

    Giakoumakis: 1

    Mooy: 0

So, the top 5 players receiving POINTS for the game against Ross County are –

    Jota – 5 pts

    Jenz – 4 pts

    Taylor – 3 pts

    Carter Vickers – 2 pts

Hart and McGregor – 1 pt each

And the overall standings after 2 games played are –

    5+5 10 points – Jota

    3+3 6 points – Taylor

4 points – Jenz and Welsh

    1+2 3 points – Carter-Vickers

    2 points – O’Riley

1 point – Hart and McGregor

We now have 7 more sleeps to wait until our next game away against Kilmarnock with a High Noon kick off next Sunday. For those that don’t have a ticket the game will be live on Sky Sports so hopefully next week’s polling turnout may be a bit higher. And remember that anyone, whether posters, lurkers or distant cousins of either can vote after any game and join in at any time – just keep a note of the email address – sencelpoty@gmail.com

    Thanks for reading this far

    Hail Hail!

  21. Buzzing for next Sunday already.

Meanwhile we have Tuesday night to look forward to.

The right result this Tuesday and a win at Rugby Park will set us up for a few more seasons of domination IMO.

    Maybe so.

But, there’s always a but isn’t there lol

Seriously, the trick it’s to realise that the bible was written by the same chancers who wrote the other “holy” books.

Now who would they do that?

And then they write a curriculum that steers you away from, or teaches you not to question these wee tricks, or sleight of hands?

    Very strange.

  23. D’oh – you might remember last week I made a schoolbhoy error giving CCV a point when it should have gone to Hatate. Unfortunately I carried that error forward into this week’s cumulative scores. The correct position is as follows –

And the overall standings after 2 games played are –

    10 points – Jota

    6 points – Taylor

4 points – Jenz and Welsh

    2 points – Carter-Vickers and O’Riley

1 point – Hart, Hatate and McGregor

Standards are slipping……. must do better….

Awe Naw- did you get a peek at the list! That’s no supposed to get out to the general public. Guess there’s just no keeping any secrets from the new Master Race when they are striving hard to get the gold medal podium on the Victimisation & Oppressed Stakes.

Act well- that’s our cover gone- might as well head home to Lizardland
