Some effort by Hagi to avoid playing at rugby park next game.
So funny he will probably miss 2 games suspended and then they wonโt risk him at pittodrie prior to league cup semi final. He canโt play in Europe either.
The great Hagi return may not be until mid November now. At earliest.

So Tom,if Butland had saved it,and it had broken to Barron who had encroached two yards ahead of Hibs players, and he had cleared it,surely that is an offence.
Yes. Penalty would be retaken, because if he hadn’t encroached, rebound could have been met by a non-encroaching Hibs player.
If Hibs player had encroached and netted the rebound,it would be an offence,no?
Yes. Free-kick to Rangers and a booking. No retake.

Maybe the learning Paul hinted at was evidenced in how the Rosco’s formation frustrated us early doors.
Seems possible that p67 was saying that an inferior team can setup in ways that stymie or hassle the more fluent and skilled sides out of their normal game plan and fluency – albeit using a 5-5-0 layout at times.
Ie, Celtic could be to Dortmund and other qualteams what Rossco were to us for large periods of the game. However, the fly in that particular vaseline is that our bhoys were not at their zippy best (until the subs gave us an energy jag) whereas Dortmund were on it/us from the earliest seconds of our Euro pummelling.
But is P67 merely intimating that getting beat 2-1 is better than a 7-1 battering; well, from a goal diff average in the new league format he’s surely karrect!
BTW, I thought Valle had a very middling first 45 but a much better showing in the second half.
Scalesy – even with his accidental handball – was still our most consistent player across the full duration imo.

Good Morning Celts…
BACK TO BASICS – GLASS HALF FULL @ 7:36 AM,
This post was written in response to a lead on another site…
The international break has come at a good time, a week earlier and we would have had it after defeating St Johnstone 0-5 in Perth and all the world is rosyโฆ
We know now, what we knew before but had kinda forgotten, that this team is very much a work in progress.
An injury to a key player โ CCV in this case and we are found wanting.
A change in personnel in midfield to match the opposition and things can quickly go awry.
Our โscoringโ for fun, forward line can be stymied all too easily if the service from midfield is curtailed or they go head to head with a good (yet hardly top) defence.
Youโve asked some pertinent questions regarding this, so let me give you my take.
All the players we got in late in the transfer window to me are showing great potential yet need a lot of development and game time with their new team mates.
Luke McCowan it has to be said looks great in the Hoops and has certainly looked a comfortable player in the SPL
The three you specifically mention Engels, Trusty and Valle.
Valle has so much more potential than Greg, yet we know the wee ghuy will give you everything, however, unlike Scales who, like Taylor was regarded as a squad player and had improved and impressed, Greg he has a ceiling where his peak game is found wanting in our most challenging games.
Valle seems to rise to that occasion, while he needs conditioning and experience, there is no lack of potential and if the bhoy learns quick, and adapts, Greg will be the back up.
Trusty is a different proposition, he has the physicality, pace, experience to be a fixture in our defence, conceding the goal yesterday has nothing to do with him, the ball came in from our left and hit Scales on a flaying arm.
You have the feeling he will do much better on the left, so that gives our manager a headache when CCV comes back.
Engels to me is the real deal, a lot has been asked from him in the last four games and IF!? he has been found wanting itโs no lack of ability or desire.
If you look how BR&Co have developed James Maddison and Matt OโRiley in recent years, you must say the young Belgian whets the appetite, he has the potential to be better than both.
So what are our aims after the international break and before the end of Januaryโฆ
It is to play our nearest league rivals and be top of the league, itโs to win the league Cup and itโs to amass enough points in the UCL group stage to make the play-offs โ hopefully rebuilding fortress Celtic Park in the processโฆ
Well, we are certainly capable of doing all of the above, yet it is not a gimme and a lot of hard work and progress will have been made if we achieve all of that and the players you mention will be a lot better for the experience.
Agreed great to see the Club go to Sligo, USA in the summer, a trip to Ireland, we seem to be reconnecting with our roots, long may that continue.
Have A Great Day

Cernys goal,a replica of Kuhn’s.Saints had a few great chances to score, fluffed them, shot instead of squaring to guy for a tap in.The offside goal !!!!!!!.Watched some bits on Hun TV,saw the goal.Nobody mentioned offside, watching, you can most times see yourself.Nope.
When the infamous, very thick lines came up,from the distance they showed the alleged offside, you could see nothing except the hand and wrist of the Saints player, which is not offside.
This VAR system really is a disgrace.Totally, not fit for purpose.Has anyone looked at the lines yet and said” Well thats cleared that up”. Looked like the picture was taken from the Space Station.
