  1. Great mentality to win after the poor first half performance, the result was always going to be the most important thing.

  2. Haven’t read back and I watched on delay.

Thought the referee had a good game and County were strategically worth the points with 15 to go but also, our subs were making a difference.

Great two goals to preserve the points and no euro hangover. Engels had a howler but I hope he will put that behind him.

  3. Agree B Jimmy – pass marks to the subs – made a difference- that’s what squads do. Never easy in Dingwall, happy with three points.

  4. open question, what was the bbc hiring process that gtgets Craig LEVIEN A CO-COMMS ANALYSIS JOB ?

Trademark Brendan Rodger’s ground out late win, by 4-3-3.

On a hiding to nothing after Dortmund, took to the salubrious not, environment complete with Celtic family and a view from the cottage next door’s window. This was a win type that has won more than one title after a sluggish performance in the dourness of Dingwall. Nobody played particularly well, until the subbing started and Ross County got dizzy against the club and a support, that never stops.

The new ‘lenient’ handball interpretation couldn’t help Liam Scales and when Schmeichel replicated Butland’s save, rules were rules again for a retake and it looked like an off day for Celts. Reo Hatate, Arne Engels and CalMac all struggled as did AJ, whereas Alex Valle looked very tidy throughout albeit with minimal winger pressure, to face. Super sub Adam Idah on from the start, retained his title for now, there was no room for him to flourish, he couldn’t get beyond the County back line, that was left to Daizen Maeda who frequently did, but also had left off his finishing boots. Paulo Bernardo made a big difference holding the ball, and the cumulative effect was beginning to mount on the home defence.

AJ’s deflection did the trick against the pack, Luke McCowan looks more like a Celtic player week by week, and Nicolas Kuhn is already way out in front for player of the season. Classic subbing by Rodgers unleashed James Forrest but Kuhn with the Celtic world waiting…… square it… square it… square it, he didn’t he slotted it instead.

The lucky ones are the Celtic all singing, all dancing away support ripe for a party on the road home.

    Well done the Dandy Don’s.

    Superb consistency.

Win a game, then the next, then the next …..

  7. Not a great game of football but Aberdeen have a great spirit and energy about them. They really fought till the death there

Play as we did today and we will have a tough game for sure.

Not sure about the We are going to win the league chants mind you.

    Happy with them finishing second.

  8. Kris Boyd going apoplectic as Aberdeen’s Palaversa doesn’t get booked after scoring, running into the crowd behind the goal and blessing himself

  9. DD has won the Dunhill pro am with his partner Thorbjorn Olesen from Denmark, this is a $5m DP world tour event.

  10. German league proving its the most entertaining and competive league in Europe again this season.

  11. Leagues are won in games like todays in Dingwall…just ask thems after their collapse last year 🤣😎👍🍀

  12. massive game for the turd place team tonight ; any dropped points would open a sizeable gap between thems and the first 2

  13. Jackiemac,

Naw.Only problem he had today, was mistiming headers in the second half. One he headed backwards, one straight up,and sticking his arm out for the penalty.Mistiming .Apart from that, good game,as did Trusty.

  15. Aberdeen showing a bit of True Grit (Jeff Bridges remake a great movie) in coming back to beat Hearts.

Sets up a battle royale in a couple of weeks time Celtic Park, Sat 3pm kick-off an all….wonder if the Broadcasters will try to change that so they can show it.

  16. It’s ironic that Trusty has to play on the right, though he is clearly very left sided; because Scales can’t be dropped from that position.

I’m putting that in the category of a good problem to have but it would be good to have the right – left balance right.

  17. aberdeens highest attendance in 6 years, i perdonally think that is a success.

MAESTROJust last week, not only was Butland off his line for Hibs’ penalty, players were encroaching, no retake. Rules have changed this week though, obviously

The encroachment rules were changed 2 years ago.

A retake now only applies where an encroaching player impacts on the outcome of a penalty.

For example, if the keeper saves or the ball comes back off the woodwork and an encroaching player nets the rebound, the goal is disallowed and a free kick is awarded to the defending team at the spot where he made contact with the ball and the encroaching player is shown a yellow card. No retake.

If a defender encroaches and plays the rebound to safety — eg out of play, a clearance or a pass to a teammate — a retake is the decision and the defender is yellow carded.

Of course, if the goalkeeper has both feet in front of the line at the point of the penalty taker’s contact with the ball and he saves the penalty, a retake is ordered and no yellow card. If the goalkeeper repeats the offence a second time at the retake and saves again, a yellow card is shown in addition to a second retake.

  19. So Tom,if Butland had saved it,and it had broken to Barron who had encroached two yards ahead of Hibs players, and he had cleared it,surely that is an offence.

  20. See Spurs were 2-0 up at half time and now 3-2 down, with Brighton all over them. 😳🤷🏼‍♂️😂
