Regardless of who we are missing through injury., we should be able to beat Ross County comfortably with that line up. We don’t need a Champions League budget for that.
The Kano Foundation are running our usual Predictor Competition once again. This season though it is going to be a fully online version – basically the same idea as the one we ran for the Euros in June.
However as this is is to try to taise some funds for the Foundation we are asking for a small joining fee, details of how to pay etc will be sent to you all once you have joined up. The fee this year will be a one-off payment of £5.
We had a fantastic response to the Euros Predictor and would love to have a similar if not greater response to this one.
Currently it will be an EPL based Predictor only (they dont so SPL apparently) but we are considering doing a Celtic-based idea, but more on that later.
Anyway it’s dead simple to join up, simply clink the link below, enter the code and you will then be “sent for approval”. Once we do that you can make your predictions and its Game On!
Be great to have as many of you join up as possible – and as its online, the scoring will be done automatically……no doubt to the pleasure of many of you TKF Predictor veterans!

Wow. Really interesting line-up. Previous 3-5-2s were either 3-4-1-2 or 3-4-2-1, whereas at first glance this looks like 3-5-1-1 – plenty of numbers in the midle of the park, then, although rather than a tactical re-think, it looks more as though Lenny is trying to crow-bar his strongest available XI onto the teamsheet, then find a formation that suits as many of them as possible.
I’ll be very interested to see how Commons behind Sammi works – Commons has looked great as a no.10 (though better when Celtic have 2 strikers). More significantly, this will be the first time Sammi has started as lone striker since Ibrox, January 2011, which is staggering when you consider it’s one of his default positions for the Greek national side.
A lot of responsibility lies with the two fullbacks. The extra cover of 3 central midfielders means Matthews and Izzy, who up until now have disappointed as wingbacks, have no excuse not to get forward more.
Looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

The bench looks scarily young – Deadwood Three has gone very much to plan.
So Toxico get to play a league match in England before Celtic next week,.

FYI, 3-5-1-1 is Udinese’s line-up.
Looking at it again, I suspect that Wanyama will sit in front of the back 3, with Kayal and Ledley playing a more attacking role, but as I said, the two wingbacks, specifically how far forward they can get, will be key to the success of this formation.
