  3. Serious question … How do you break down a 10 man defence, because we will be up against that for mist games this season?

No matter how much a player disappointed Neil Lennon (if indeed he even did), I doubt he would ever tell him to GTF.

That would hardly encourage anyone and would be a strong suggestion that you wanted them to go away and not come back.

Even though your criticism may be justified today and you are quite entitled to express it, I think your choice of language was wrong and would hate to think you’d have shouted that at Samaras had you been at the game.

Avoid buying anyone with any arieal ability either as a forward or centre back. When your lobbed in crosses are lapped up by the keeper due to this lack exhibit game intelligence by doing the exact same thing again and again year after year. At no point try to address this situation by asking any of your statuesque centrebacks to get into the box regardless of how big and opposing the opposition are bolstered by mibbery. Considerung how rarely we come up against this environment we have to congratulate the entire club in how flexible they are to every situation. The mineshafters may insinuate groundhog 5 year plans but they are just hurting huns.

Regardless of who and how many players were out injured today, there were 11 men who started that game on that park who will never have to work another day in their lives after they retire – every one of them in the hoops.

I think everyone can therefore be entitled to have expected to see that reflected out on the park and it certainly did not.

Im concerned at how easy it was to put our players off their game – a bit of kick and rush and in your face ‘football’ is all it took really.

The players possibly had Helsinborg on their minds when they started seeing Wanyama, Kayal et all falling down hurt (id probably highlight Samaras, Commons and Matthews in that respect)

FF – Very impressed with his physique, his upper body strength looks awesome now.

Matthews – Not with it, didnt look up for the ‘battle’

    Lustig – Horror performance

Wilson – Much improved, still nowhere near being at the dominating level

Mulgrew – One of the few who was up for it today

Izaguirre – Looked like a scared boy out there today. Please give us the old Izzy back soon!

Kayal – Started well but faded when he hurt his ankle. These are exactly the games that beforehand we all say to eachother, ‘we really need Kayal out there today’, however he disappointed. Brown would have imposed himself more.

Wanyama – Another not up for the battle when hes probably stronger than every player on the opposition side. However, in his defence the kick and rush football did tend to fly over the positions he would be taking up.

Commons – Have really noticed in the past 2 games he picks and chooses when he wants to help his team mates out. At other times he just stands still, no matter how close the play is to him – just not interested in chasing back. He needs to stop the lethargy and get that hunger back. When the eye of the tiger returns, so will the form.

Samaras – The Samaras of new puts his head and body on the line for his team. The Samaras of today was the Samaras prior to the new, and much akin to the Samaras of the 4 consecutive years prior to that.

Lennon – Not much more he can do. The players were flat, again, and his body language in the 1st half would suggest there was no way the players had been allowed to go into todays game with Helsinborg on their minds. He tried to shake it around a few times to improve but nothing seemed to work. The tenacity of young Watt might have helped had been introduced sooner but id dare say thats more in hindsight than anything else.

Hello there, just to let you know that I am planning to take part in a 50 mile cycle from Glasgow to Edinburgh, 09/09/2012

During the next 21 days I plan to train very hard in order to be able to take part in this cycle where I would hope to be able raise some funds for “Wee Oscar Knox” who is 3 year old kid and is not keeping very well just now.

You can read Oscar’s story on web link below

  11. Didn’t see game so cannot comment on performance. However a draw, given our injuries and their excellent home form is not much of a surprise. Its our second league game…a few people sound like they need to lie down in a darkened room.

Watched it on a stream today and while it is difficult to get a whole overview, I must say from what I was able to see, I agree overall with your summary. Right on the money. The CL game will be a real test.

Just back from a lovely dinner party.

A wee word to all you super analysts and nitpickers.

The big game this season is not being played on the field, but in the corridors of power.

Therefore, before you post on the perceived flaws in our club, bear in mind the bigger picture

    Intriguing,Thom.

    Food for thought.

  14. Apparently this is in today’s Express. If true, their utter arrogance and profound stupidity knows no bounds…

RANGERS may look to stay in the Scottish Football League even if they win three successive promotions.

There have already been informal talks inside Ibrox about snubbing a return to the SPL as feelings continue to run high over the perceived treatment of the club.

And last night’s SPL announcement on the make-up of the tribunal to investigate alleged employee benefit trust payments between 2000 and 2011 has added fuel to the fire.

Lord Nimmo Smith, Charles Flint QC and Nicholas Stewart QC will look into possible rules breaches and determine any sanctions.

While this has been expected, it has not improved the “persecuted, not punished” feeling within the club or the perception that Rangers have been the subject of a witchhunt.

As a result, the prospect of taking some sort of revenge has been mooted.

Staying within the SFL and having nothing more to do with the SPL has been talked about

    Express sport source

“People at the club will have long memories,” Express Sport was told. “They will remember exactly how they have been treated and by whom.

“Staying within the SFL and having nothing more to do with the SPL has been talked about.

“Clearly, there would be huge issues involved in that, but by considering putting their weight behind the SFL, the club feel the SPL could be left isolated in the future.

“It could be that the SFL turn out to be the more powerful body.” By staying outside of the SPL, there would be no prospect of European football for Rangers but the fact rebellion is being discussed within the corridors of power at Ibrox demonstrates the depth of feeling within the club.

    Brilliant.

So many flaws in so few paragraphs. But the best has to be: “the club feel the SPL could be left isolated in the future.”

Makes you wonder why Sevco tried to skip three divisions to get into the SPL just a few weeks ago.

What happened to that queue of billionaires.
