Interseting article today in the Hootsman about a stance taken by Nairn County the highland league side.
County are launching a media campaign with videos and article in their matchday programmes criticising Pay Day loan companies and giving advice on how to tackle these unscrupulous lenders. Support has been given by Fergus Ewing of the SNP.
It stikes me as strange perhaps that a lowly, allthough very well funded HL side has come up with this and that no larger side with a greater fanbase and media profile should lead this.

I hate to say it but it comes down to corporate governance, financial consideration, not wanting to put off any potential sources of income.
When Nike first got the gig for Celtic kit I raised a keyboard in protest but quickly realised I was on a hiding to nothing.
I’m in the odd position of thinking the board are doing a decent job with the resources they have but knowing that there is not one iota of principle in their decision making. Yes, we have a charitable fund and we make noises about our roots but the board won’t pay the living wage, they are, in the main, men from the world of finance led by a billionaire Irish man who was among those who brought the Irish economy to it’s knees while escaping any loss of income or capital themselves, in fact they made vast fortunes on the back of it. So it is hardly surprising that Celtic or any other big club, run by like minded people, do not give a sh 1 t about stuff like pay day loans, sponsorship from companies who are not always great when it comes to the rights of their workers or those who they sub contract, or indeed accepting sponsorship and advertising alcoholic drink and gambling.
When I actually articulate this stuff I realise that I am something of a hypocrite when it comes to football. I pay for Sky, I contribute to the wages of multi millionaires…….
If I chuck Sky Sports and get BT you can guarantee that Sky will have a run of Celtic games on. I don’t recall seeing Celtic on Sky for about a month (I missed both the Ajax games as I was at meetings – I suppose I can’t balme Sky for that!)
I do wonder what I am paying them for. I don’t really watch many live games outside of Celtic and Barca.
It’s peeing me off quite a lot.

I have video no audio
Nice quick passing going forward… Pukki getting involved
Some meaty tackles from RC
How many games does it take to accurately asses if a player is good enough to play for Celtic? 2 games, 6 games, a whole seasons worth of games?
Far too many in our 1st team squad fall into the ‘are they good enough’ category
Big Amido, Pukki, Nir, Rogic, etc,
Kettlewell leaves a high foot in on Biton. Ref has a word
FK Celtic on edge of centre circle

But I can’t leave my Celtic to them.
Those are my thoughts for what they are worth
Free kick to defend.. Easily dealt with
Easily cleared
FK against Fisher
Clumsy by Fisher, RC player jumps to avoid knock.
Poor shot from RC from edge of box
Easy for FF
Good turn by Pukki
Nice turn and lay off from Pukki
Throw in
Izzy cross cleared
