Does “LNS is no longer fit for purpose” mean we need another instrument to con the fans?

Only a UEFA appointed commission will do.

We have the biggest football fraud and corruption world football has ever had. It has corrupted Champions League and UEFA CUP and EUROPA LEAGUE Competitions.

Rangers FC has corrupted the Beautiful Game.

  3. Staggering article by Radar Jackson in the DR this morning.

Staggering in that its defence of non-title-stripping is so palpably weak and hesitant. If this is the best Level 5 can come up with, asterix-ing the titles must be a real possibility.

Absolutely SPOT ON…….. Remembering all those poor soldiers and civilians who lost their lives has been hi-jacked by insensitive gutter-politics ….. How many politicians go to war, having caused the war in the first place by their political failure…..disgusting hypocrites. …..

  6. When will the cretins who drag the wonderful name of Celtic through the mud, go away and leave the 99% decent supporters in peace?

The stupidity that leads them to their nonsense AND to voting SNP, is based on the tripe that the Ibrox mob ‘own’ the UK and all that goes with it – our ‘kind’ have more influence and contribute much more than the sash-wearing, bowler-hatted, Rule Brittania-singing, zealots down Ibrox way.

My dad was a proud sergeant in The Royal Artillery and a great Celtic man – I, and many Celts like wear our poppies in their memory.

Let’s hope we can identify these clowns and ‘discourage’ them from using our club as a platform for their ‘bile’ agenda.

We look to have the Ibrox cheats held to account in the court of public opinion, and yet these nutters undermine our standing and credibility at every opportunity.

Dish it out ? Your the one who brought it up as usual with your crafty comments , nothing but an anti Irish bigot. And why it’s allowed I don’t know. Your racism fits in perfect in Australia .

    Anyway

Why are you comparing the British army to the Irish Republican Army ??

One is a well backed massive army with huge resources , limitless propaganda outlets lots of state of the art equipment and countless soldiers to do the work of well paid greedy men in suits , and with other wealthy allies throughout the world.

The other is a group of mainly very young volunteers from a close knit community with very little military training , basically no allies that can help, limited fundraising ability and no media support .

Can you spot the many differences ?

The republican cause came about due to an alien government being allowed to decide the future of our children and basically crushing our culture , crops and chance of being the masters of our own fate.

The provisional Irish Republican Army came about due to my community being denied jobs, housing and a fair voting system , I wouldn’t expect any community in the world to put up with that and ours would either.. Peaceful civil rights protests were beaten and shot dead, no voice on TV radios so people took up arms and God bless them.

I know the ira made many mistakes, but again they were mostly young and untrained volunteers.. The British had all the resources in the world yet their crimes were a lot worse .

If you want to keep comparing the too armies that’s up to you. But without the British war machine rampaging through the streets of Derry and Belfast then the IRA would probably never have returned to the scene . Before late 60’s they were basically none existent.

But I’m sure you know all this, try keep your crafty anti Irish comments to yourself.

  10. Greenpinta

It was and brave men each and every one of them.

Yesterday also remembers the soldiers who invaded Derry, Tyrone , the galtee mountains and those that places Connolly on a chair before shooting him.

People can support the poppy appeal, donate to it, attend remembrance events, that’s their choice. And people such as myself , James Mcclean and countless others can try to treat it as just another normal day..

Why should we feel as if we are doing something wrong ?

At Easter and in June republicans in Derry remember their patriot dead, we don’t try to force it Upon the whole city or expect football teams to wear Lily’s, hold minutes silence etc.

As italiabhoy said, it’s a political football these days, and the bullying and harassment of people who refuse to tow the establishments line is shameful. Certainly not what the Irish and British soldiers who died in 1916 would have wanted in my opinion.

  14. My Celtic TV feed was buffering more than usual and a Kodi stream was worse so I never got to watch the game as it unfolded.

However the audio was fine an when we went 3 nil up I started to relax. Its in the bag I thought.

Then although I never saw it I believe Boyota gave the ball away and from there RC scored.

My anxiety level goes up a bit and if that translates to players so does theirs, which can have negative as well as positive effects.

We handled the negative particularly with CGS’S save at 3-1 but this is my point.

Games can change in one instant from either a bit of magic or tragic.

How often are we comfortable when a player, and it’s not just Effe or Boyota, makes a tragic UNFORCED error that causes a goal and changes our superiority into inferiority?

I don’t know if it’s simply the players judgement and that can be coached on but the one guy who pays for unforced errors is RD.

I’ve no idea what to do about it but if we reduce such instances to a minimum we will consistently be the good team that shows up for periods then trips over its own feet.

Been guilt free for years now.

It’s like getting out of a mind jail.

To be clear I don’t mean not recognising wrong and not being contrite. I mean don’t let others try to make you feel guilt that they would feel. Make your own choice.

  19. We as a support need to make peace with the poppy and separate it from an organisation that has hijacked it for their own purpose and the people who use it for something quite sinister.

I am now pretty sickened with the poppy propaganda. This is after all a registered charity. The gerrymandered pressure to wear one is way worse than the chuggers on the high street. We have armed forces day too, help for heroes wrist bands and apparel. It’s visible identification, it’s a dangerous path.

This year’s advert on ‘what it means to wear a poppy’ sadly hijacks the original sentiment of the poppy. Their self proclaimed reason to wear it is in support of British armed forces, present day. This is the job of government in the modern day, not the public. We object to most of the conflict the British forces are involved in. Millions demonstrated against Iraq, Argentina was politically hijacked by Thatcher, the war on terror is an open book to political ends, and I’m not even going to stir the Irish in this post.

This is not what I understood the poppy to be. At least what it meant to me as a youngster.

As a youngster the poppy meant a solemn remembrance of people who lost their lives in the 2 world wars. Real, living veterans for whom there could never have been financial provision to sustain other than public support. And we owed them it, by God we did. The welfare state did no exist when they fought in these wars. I’m old enough to remember WWI veterans on the TV and their stories. Incredible, emotionally paralysing stories. Young innocent men conscripted to fight, many of their comrades died by their side in unspeakable conditions before they had a chance to grow out of short school trousers. Horrific attrition of so many human lives. The WWII veterans are so few now, These men too from a time of relative innocence fed into a war machine to fight against a monster like Hitler.

These men and women deserve our eternal respect and remembrance. That’s what the poppy meant to me. That’s what the minute’s silence will always mean to me and I will observe it always. And that’s what my kids are being told it is for so thy too can maybe understand the horror of war and why peace is so precious.

My point is that the poppy and remembrance does not need to mean to me what the registered charity or armed forces bullies tell me it means. Remember the dead of the Great War, the war against Hitler, the fallen of all wars on all sides. That’s how we should proceed rather than create a battle we neither need nor could ever win and is set to be an annual antagonism to us all.

    Just my take.

  20. Never saw the game yesterday but thought all our goals were excellent finishes ..reading back sounds like our defence was abit dodgy as usual.

But the levels people go to get at this club genuinely surprised me. It’s harsh and it’s not about football, which I find a shame.”

That is what many of us do,one way or another. Some wear a white poppy,others-like me-donate but politely decline a poppy.

Well,I used to donate until three years ago. That was when I slipped a tenner into a fella’s tin and was about to sound the retreat when he went-Sir,your poppy. No thanks,I said.

To which he replied-But you must wear a poppy!

Just watched the BBC Highlights. The commentator was , as expected, negative. For example, Efe didn`t carry the ball out of defence to instigate an attack. Instead, he was on `walkabout`. All the anti- Efe stuff that has gone before, of course, would have the dimmer element of the support not believing the evidence of their own eyes but actually feeling that Efe was doing something wrong.

Some on CQN are quite strong in rejecting the MSSM influence and claim that they are perfectly capable of making their own minds up. None of us is completely free of influence when it comes to `making up our own minds` The MSSM is often blatant but it is the more insidious tactic which is more effective.

Disrupting the manufactured minute`s silence plays right into the hands of a fervent Media,

Being uber critical of Ronny Deila also plays into their hands.

Sevco are doing very well in their Division but lost as soon as they played a team from a better League.

Celtic are doing very well in their League but lost some and won some against teams from other Leagues.

The MSSM are all very positive about Warburton .Sevco fans are all very happy with Warburton.

The MSSM are all very negative about Deila.Celtic fans are not all very happy with Deila.

  25. Was in Dingwall yesterday and while there was some shouts and chanting, I feared much worse judging by the atmosphere outside the ground. Large police presence, clearly well oiled and powdered fans, doing the old alpha male I can be more outrageous than you dance and the odd shouting pushing matches between them.

Behind the North Stand (behind the goals) but in the stadium, there was a few hundred Celtic fans standing obviously with no intention of taking their seats before the silence.

I was in the East Stand and apart from a few shouts from those around or with the small group that turned their backs when the silence started it was clear to me that the chanting and booing was coming from behind the stand or outside the ground and it didn’t match the numbers hanging around in that area and it was sporadic and not constant.

Yeah, I’m disappointed that some couldn’t keep their mouths shut but I’m also disappointed that these things are forced on football fans with increasing regularity. There is a time and a place for everything.

  26. My friends in Celtic,

    A very welcome win yesterday.

Domestically we can. European we struggle.

We have a greater pool of players and a bigger budget than some, yet we struggle. We must find a solution.

When DD is playing with his pals on the golf course including Alex Ferguson.:-

Dermot: “Alex, how do you fancy a break from watching Man U and come up to Glasgow for a few days now and again.

Alex: ” yes Dermot why not, always a pleasure to return to my home city. What have you got in mind ?

Dermot : how do you fancy having a look at our football set up from head to toe on a consultancy basis ? Obviously this would not affect your allegiance to Man Utd and as you know we have some of the best golf courses available. I’m sure we could achieve mutual satisfaction and I will ensure the best vintage red.

Alex : deal, when do you want me to come up?.

It is well known that Alex Ferguson is one if not the best football managers we have seen. According to Nick Robinson ( BBC political editor) he is also the best living leader he has seen. Bar none.

I do not feel that our management team would feel any disrespect or threatened bya man of such stature.

  27. On the Keith Jackson article.

No process. There was no process for the 5 Way but it happened. A red herring. In any case LNS pointed out the issue that illegal ebts was a fundamental defect where registration was invalid FROM THE OUTSET. That kills the Bryson get out clause.

Armageddon.ie threat of violence. Is he really advocate we let justice be decided by thugs?

Non relevant use of tax avoidance by others in football. Non relevant because the tax dodging did not depend on keeping secrets from SFA and HMRC.

He also mentions “other matters”. That is the duping of LNS which DR is well aware of and maybe even who was responsible if they have been digging.

The breaking of UEFA FFP rules in 2011 where RFC are guilty but SFA don’t want the world to know.

Why don’t they just come clean and admit or publish the truth?

Some heads will have to roll Ogilvie, Regan, Doncaster and Dickson whom Regan consulted on UEFA licence post event.

SFA reform is a must of course but why not wait until the full story is out there, which will mean an honest independent enquiry by folk not involved in Scottish football, and let all of football be the judge on what steps to take on titles?

Why not give TRFC supporters all the facts and let them judge themselves? Many already have walked away based on their own values regardless of the spin.

How many more would be happy to give up the unmerited trophies if they had the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?

    Truth first then reconciliation.

TD67. Fella hate is a terrible thing and there are many in our wee country who hate Catholics and who hate Celtic I am sure like me you have met some of these people through out your life. When I was young I was brought up in a wee Ayrshire village and got several beatings without understanding what it was for I also had very few friends after all who wants to be friends with a pape. During my working career I came across Catholic haters frequently and know for certain it stopped my career development more than once. Now as I said hate is a terrible word so I refuse to hate back but as Jesus said forgive them Lord they know not what they are doing. In Ronny and Peter I trust. H.H.

  29. Sevco fans who use the poppy to bait Celtic fans are idiots and the Celtic fans who fall for the baiting are even bigger idiots imho. Celtic fans should have enough brains to rise above the tripe, the quicker that happens, the more Sevco fans will look like idiots for using dead people as an excuse to bait football fans. The poppy symbolism stretches way bigger than the Glasgow goldfish bowl, my view is if the poppy is used by people to respect their families then there’s no issue. Let them, the poppy does a lot less harm than guns and bombs and heroin and oil and the multitude of other excuses people have for killing each other in their millions these days.
