CELTIC’S Scottish Cup opponents Albion Rovers swooped today to sign Theo Archibald on a development loan from Celtic until the end of the season.
Archibald will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game against Livingston.
Rovers boss Darren Young said: “Were delighted to welcome Theo to the club.
“He’s a great attacking talent who has a big future ahead of him.
“He has pace and will create chances and score goals. He will be a good addition to the squad and help push us on in the second half of the season.”
Celtic may be wary of the young Celt lining up against his own club. Just last month Paddy Roberts, on loan from Manchester City, opened the scoring against his home club in the Champions League.
Talking of Roberts, we hear that his longer term future is more likely to be in Glasgow rather than Manchester with Brendan Rodgers keen to sign the player or at least extend the loan period with a view to signing.
CAN CELTIC WIN THE LEAGUE BY A RECORD POINTS MARGIN?
CELTIC could end this season winning the league by a record points margin if the Champions can maintain their impressive start to the campaign, which has resulted in only 2 points being dropped back in September in a 2-2 draw with Inverness Caley Thistle.

Their chances are slim to say the least and Celtic will in all likelihood be a step closer to Hampden on Sunday evening.
