DON ROBERTSON will be the man in charge of the silver whistle as Celtic kick off their bid for a fourth successive Premiership title at Parkhead on Sunday.
The experienced referee has been appointed for the visit of Kilmarnock as the Hoops celebrate another Flag Day in the east end of Glasgow.
Robertson and his VAR assistant John Beaton were at the centre of a rumpus after the Hoops’ 2-0 loss to Hearts at Tynecastle on March 3 when the hosts were awarded a controversial penalty-kick and winger Oh Hyeon-jun was red-carded earlier in the game.

A raging Brendan Rodgers questioned the competence of the officials and copped a one-game SFA touchline ban that saw him sit in the stand for the champions’ 3-0 win over Livingston in West Lothian later in the month.
The Hoops gaffer had been accused of breaching Rule 72 Article 96.1 of the SFA’s disciplinary code after his remarks following a red card for Yang and the contentious penalty-kick that saw the Edinburgh club take the lead.
Onfield official Robertson upgraded a yellow card to red for the South Korean after an intervention from Beaton and, following another instruction from the technical assistant, he awarded the home side a ludicrous spot-kick.
The whistler is back in the thick of it on Sunday while Greg Aitken will be in the VAR offices in Glasgow and will be assisted by Jonathan Bell.
Roberton’s assistants at the match will be David Roome and Craig Ferguson while Grant Irvine will take on the fourth official duties.
