The organising committee of the proposed Joint Russian and Ukrainian championship have confirmed that the Russian Premier League have voted in favour of the proposal. The matter will now go to the Russian Association and the corresponding authorities in Ukraine.
Valery Gazzaev, president of Russian club, Alania Vladikavkaz, told reporters, “Innovation is never easy, even the World Cup and European Championships had doubters in the game. The English, who founded the game, were sceptical about such championships.
“We have had the same doubts about our project but in football, a policy of integration is now necessary. Look at the European Championship in 2020, which will be held across 13 countries.
“Given the economic crisis in Europe few territories can afford to maintain a competitive team. If we draw a combined championship with Russia and Ukraine we will improve entertainment, as well as football and financial stability.
“Half of Russian clubs are unprofitable (a considerably lower portion than UK clubs), 70% are subsidised by governmental budgets, this is wrong. A Joint League will enable teams to earn money to pay their own way.
“We want to create a strong league which will compete with the best in Europe.
“The plan is to hold the first joint championship in 2015-16. Teams will compete in European competitions under their national flags. The national quotas for participation in the tournament will remain the same, so if ranking does not change, Russia and Ukraine will be represented in the Champions League by six teams.
“Our proposal is fully consistent with Uefa strategy. Uefa understand that, under the current league structures, Financial Fair Plan will weaken our clubs. A combined championship gives us a solution.
“Part of the budget for the new league will come from the sale of media rights. The remaining amount will be generated from sponsors. It’s not just about Gazprom, other major Russian, Ukrainian and international companies will be involved (no mention of Flamingo Land yet).”
Make no mistake, this project’s viability is underwritten by political and financial muscle. Gazprom are a huge player in world energy markets, as well as European football sponsorship, while politicians in Moscow and Kiev see football as a ‘political football’.
They have the money and backers to ensure this slips through Uefa, creating an important blueprint in the process. Note specifically that Champions League spots will be retained by each nation, a hugely important point for integration elsewhere.

Just read the post about the treatment by our club of MORRISSEY THE 23RD.
Shocking treatment of someone representing a large number of shareholders in a PLC ,with the paperwork to prove it.
Shamefully for them,it reminds me of how the rebels were treated by the old board.
The current board need a rethink on how they treat people who supply a large part of their turnover,IMO.

Resolution (and supporting statement) proposal for the 2013 Celtic Plc AGM under the terms of the Companies Act.
Celtic Plc AGM 2013 Resolution for CFCB investigation into SFA Licensing Administration.
This AGM requests the Board exercise the provision contained in the Procedural Rules Governing the UEFA Club Financial Control
Body Article 10 with jurisdiction and investigation responsibilities identified in articles 3 & 11 (Note 1), by referring/bringing to the
attention of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), the licensing administration practices of the Scottish Football
Association (SFA), requesting the CFCB undertake a review and investigate the SFA’s implementation of UEFA & SFA license
compliance requirements, with regard to qualification, administration and granting of licenses to compete in football competitions
under both SFA and UEFA jurisdiction, since the implementation of the Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations of 2010.
Supporting Statement
We the undersigned request this course of action, from our clubs custodians and corporate representation, responsible to protect our
interests in line with corporate law. We consider the SFA governance has displayed a disregard for the rules and spirit of fair play,
contradicted FIFA, UEFA & SFA mission statements and acted in contravention to the spirit of the rules of fair play outlined in FIFA,
UEFA & SFA Rules, Regulations and Supplementary documents of which the SFA are signatories, such as;
FIFA Code of Conduct Article 3 – Eleven principles for behavior and conduct of the FIFA family. (Note 2)
FIFA Standard Cooperation Agreement of 2004 Article 2.1 – Basic Principles, which states;
The basic principles governing the organization, administration and financing of football are as follows: football statutes and
regulations, democratic election of governing bodies, legality, competence, dignity, probity, mutual respect, responsibility, trust,
communication, transparency, fair play, solidarity, protection of sportsmen and sportswomen’s health and promotion of friendly
relations.
A number of recent examples of this including but not limited to the following;
1. Unprecedented transfer of membership and granting of license to operate to an unqualified new club, facilitating queue jumping
into the lower professional set-up, at the expense of existing qualified clubs, who had applied through the recognized process.
2. Secret cross governance agreements to facilitate point 1. above, which took place during the preparation and contrary to the ethos
of the SFA’s own published mission statement Scotland United A 20/20 Vision 2012, regarding trust and respect, as part of the
future governance of the sport. Further the process for the above agreement is in direct contravention of the FIFA Standard
Cooperation Agreement of 2004 Article 2.1 Basic Principles, which identifies Associations responsibilities outlined above.
3. Participation of a new club in an SFA affiliated domestic club competition without proper registration compliance.
4. The participation of the SFA, in an inquiry on improper player registration, an inquiry the SFA declined to initiate on the grounds
that; the SFA required to be neutral, maintaining appellate authority status, then not only compromising that neutrality by
participation but providing an interpretation on player eligibility that UEFA and indeed FIFA should examine.
These in our opinion are just some of the more blatant contradictions to the spirit of fair play, however, far more serious, and the main
thrust of this resolution is the granting by the SFA of a license to participate in European Competition in 2011, to a club who prime facie
did not qualify specifically under the non-payment of social tax requirements identified in the FFP 2010, still outstanding to date, a
decision that had a direct financial impact on our CFC Plc’s financial well being.
Our concern is directed at the governance of the game in Scotland, the SFA, and its apparent disregard for the licensing system that was
designed to protect against such commercial impropriety and to ensure sporting integrity; we wish to eliminate the opportunity for possible
future indiscretions and insist this problem requires immediate action through investigation by the FCFB, to restore trust and respect in the
governance of Scottish football.
We have no confidence in the SFAs governance within the current framework, to satisfy our concerns and therefore request the Board
supports this resolution.
If the Board cannot support this resolution, we require a response in writing before the AGM, followed up with a statement addressing this
issue at the AGM, justifying any such reticence, as to why it is believed the SFA’s actions or lack of, in granting the UEFA license without
due rigor, has not had a detrimental financial impact on our club, also justifying why there were no license administration irregularities if
that is the Boards contention.
We ask you to support this resolution and the written statement above circulated to shareholders in advance of the meeting, in the interests
of a stronger Celtic
.

NOTE 1
Article 10 – Tasks of the CFCB chief investigator
1 If a case falling under the jurisdiction of the CFCB in accordance with these rules comes to the attention of,
or is referred to, the CFCB, an investigation is conducted by the CFCB chief investigator.
2 The CFCB chief investigator establishes the facts and collects all evidence.
Article 3 – Jurisdiction of the CFCB
1 The CFCB is competent to:
a) determine whether licensors have fulfilled their obligations and whether license applicants/licensees
have fulfilled the licensing criteria as defined in the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play
Regulations;
b) determine whether licensees fulfill the club monitoring requirements as defined in the UEFA Club
Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations;
c) impose disciplinary measures as defined in these rules in the event of non fulfillment of the
requirements set out in the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations;
d) decide on cases relating to club eligibility for the UEFA club competitions to the extent provided for
by the regulations governing the competitions in question.
2 When a case seems to come under the jurisdiction of both the CFCB and the Control and Disciplinary Body,
the chairmen of the two bodies decide in their own discretion which body shall deal with the case. If they
cannot reach an agreement, the chairman of the Appeals Body decides in his own discretion. Such decisions on
jurisdiction may only be appealed against with the final decision of the body to which the case was assigned.
Article 11 – Collection of evidence
1 The CFCB chief investigator may, on his own initiative or, where appropriate, at the request of the
defendant, convene a hearing as part of his investigation.
2 All means of evidence may be considered by the CFCB chief investigator. This includes, but is not limited
to, the defendant’s testimony, witness testimonies, documents and records, recordings (audio or video),
on-site inspections and expert reports.
3 The defendant may consult the case file.
4 The CFCB chief investigator may set a suitable time limit for the defendant to submit its observations
and/or submit or request complementary evidence. Resolution (and supporting statement) proposal for the 2013 Celtic Plc AGM under the terms of the Companies Act.

Why can’t the guys who took ( or guy) who took up the petition or what ever it is called not go to the AGM , and when it comes up for new business, go up and state your case, anyone can ask what ever they want if they are shareholders or up with a proxy surely? Sorry I don’t get it, just asking, so a reasonable answer will be sufficient , don’t go off on one please.

I think Celtic Nation are 5 seasons away from League 2 in England. There is certainly something curious taking place at the Carlisle club. Promotion after promotion as they receive funding beyond there means.
Currently top of their league again too.

Tonyd.,
If it comes to it that will also be tried but we feel this issue is too important and merits formal submission.
The AGM is notorious for political games and strategies to avoid issues like this so we prefer not to leave it to chance or evasion tactics.
The board have plenty of resources available to them to ensure no one but their reps hog the mic that’s, we’d rather not give that opportunity.
A fair hearing is all we ask

The animals went in two by two, the elephant and the kangaroo
And they all went into the ark, for to get out of the rain
Morrissey/Canamalar………………………….
If the AGM is called too early for the resolution what about as many signatories as possible attending and walking out after 19 mins?
Well you should get what you ask for, and I hope it’s fair, I doubt if the board are playing the fly men roll, BUT? If they are, bigger men than them have took on the Celtic support and have fallen, it’s like trying to take off the Lone Rangers mask, or tugging at Supermans Cape, Celtic MUST play fair, and be seen to be playing fair, should be interesting, best of luck, you should get answers in my opinion.
Back in to say…

Hi my Amigo – I’m not trying to be controversial but, I imagine that
with no foreign agents involved with RG like Johnny Russell before him
I don’t think Cellic will be near this player :(
Why do the club continually pursue this ‘failed’ route of recruitment unless
smdy’s on a – nice little earner ?
I’ll probably find myself deleted from CQN for that ?
What the hell do we care now ? – CSC
Hail hail – Off oot.

It’s a business forum, I’m no sure such a display would have any affect.
I’d rather resubmit the resolution immediately after the AGM with greater numbers backing it for next years AGM.

Appreciated. I am still banned from Facebook for spamming but was a novice anyway with no followers so all help is appreciated.
The best day so far was when I got a shout out in an article by E-Tims, a Friday suppliment, it got 100 signatures in that day!
I have tried to get them to do another shout out but so far no luck but in fairness these sites must be bombarded with similar requests and I am grateful for all help.
The law academics and students were my main target. The former are easy to contact but the latter more difficult. I also sent an e-mail to every member of the Faculty of Advocates last night (sore fingers today), but will keep trying till 29 October.

From a very wet and windy Algarve (not looking for sympathy – beats work any day), Ryan Gauld is definitely one to watch. Seen him 3 times now and been very impressed. But, we have youngsters like Atajic (also great prospect imo) who can’t get a game.
p.s. blowing a gale here now, guess I’ll have to have another glass of wine to compensate.
p.p.s. Canamalar, as one, or two including my son, of the backers of the resolution, good advice earlier re tactics imo.

AGM Resolution
I am pretty shocked at the the way Morrissey has been treated by the suits at Celtic Park. He and Canamalar are only trying to find out how our most bitter football and business rivals were shoehorned into the qualifying stages of the Champions League AT OUR EXPENSE!
It begs the question; Was our own board complicit in giving THEM a finincial lifeline? Surely not.
Well done to both the bhoys for all their efforts thus far. HH

C’mon the ten men!
In case there is any misunderstanding, my personal view is that our board has done, & is still doing, a fine job.
That does not prevent me from being angry at the treatment of Morrissey at Celtic Park. Neither does it prevent me from from supporting Canamalar’s position of seeking answers to some of the injustices being inflicted on every club bar one by our football administrators.
I think that this resolution should, & maybe will, actually be welcomed by the Celtic Board. It certainly does not threaten or criticise them in any way. It allows them, however reluctantly, to seek clarification of issues which probably concern them even more than they do us.
Who can say what minion or ‘jobsworth’ took the action to ask Morrisey to leave Celtic Park ? We should never just jump to conclusions.
Time will tell. In the meantime, the resolution has been delivered & the ball is firmly in THEIR court.
We should be doing, & as far as is possible saying,..NOTHING.

The Herald, the Glasgow-based daily, has been forced to apologise after falsely reporting that Celtic football fans staged an “unauthorised” and “illegal” march through the city in April.
The paper’s original story, “Football fans protest over crackdown on hate crime”, claimed that “more than 2,000” fans had staged “an unauthorised march.”
In fact, the fans were dispersing in large numbers from a rally held in the city centre, at George Square, to highlight supporters’ opposition to interpretations of a new Scottish law – the offensive behaviour at football and threatening communications act.
It gives police and prosecutors powers to tackle sectarian songs and abuse at and around football matches, as well as threats posted on the internet or through the mail. Some Celtic fans believe it criminalises them.
Following The Herald’s article about the “illegal” march, a formal complaint was made to the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) by Stewart Moore.
He argued that the article was inaccurate and misleading, and therefore in breach of the editors’ code of practice.
The Herald conceded that it had breached the clause relating to accuracy after the police confirmed that they were satisfied by the manner in which fans had left the square.
The PCC then resolved the complaint with the paper, which agreed to amend its online article and publish a correction. It said:
“Our article… stated that after the conclusion of a rally in George Square, Celtic fans staged an ‘unauthorised march’ through Glasgow. This was based on a prior police warning to fans ‘that any procession along the road from George Square would be illegal and anyone involved could find themselves subject to prosecution’.
We are happy to make clear that police were satisfied with the manner in which fans dispersed from George Square.”
