One of the common techniques of the right wing nutters who listen to the Fox Network is to cite the views of their friends as FACT and evidence. Or they will cite the fact that records are hidden as proof that their assertions are true. Citing an un-named FBI operative as proof is the final refuge of the scoundrel. The right wing nutter habit is, when pressed for evidence of whatever the latest slur is, they will cite some remark, which they will then inflate and over-interpret and each will cite it without doing any follow up research because the intent and the impact is more important to them than the truth.
Thus, when Ralph Abernathy made statements in his book to say that MLK had a problem with “womanizing”, he also said “”all understood and believed in the biblical prohibition against sex outside of marriage. What I would say was that when we dominated teams Dixie scored goals fo fun, as you say a natural finisher. There have been many games in the last few seasons where we have dominated but failure to convert our chances have cost us.
DD was playing with Lennox, Hood, Dalglish… but was often Big Jock’s first choice.
You did some fine work on that list so I shouldn’t have been so picky.
My top five would be Henrik, Dalglish, Lennox, Deans and McClair but that’s a subjective view of players I saw.
I would class Gary Hooper in the same category as Scott MacDonald, goal wise very similar, Gary has a better on field attitude and is a better team player, Scott knew Celtic were more than a Football team.
It would suit me fine if Gary stayed and proved me wrong.
BTW: Why no Kenny Miller? – Just curious.

Not quite. The case went to court. After the judge found for the plaintiff ie decided there was plagiarism he rather undermined himself by remarking ‘Actually I quite liked both tunes’.

Hooper’s ratio is just a little better than Skippy’s but he is a far superior footballer, IMO. Skippy could not find a partner even if the thought ever crossed his mind and Gary has had good partnerships with Stokes and Watt.
