nah im not a big fan of lennon…john not NEIL.
im not sure he recorded a decent song post 1971 yet its mccartney that gets derided all the time because he had the cheek to grow old and uncool.
lennons voice was shot by the mid 1970s and he was reletively still a young man..he had also completely dried up creatively .
mccartneys voice has only become shot and weak in recent times …after all he is pushing 71.
even in the beatles if it wasnt for mccartney they would have achieved nothing much after the mid 1960s……..lennon needed mccartney way more than the other way around,but thats an opinion that remains locked in the minority of folks like me because of the myth surrounding his tragic death.

Yes, it is. Very silly indeed. And tiresome.

I lived on Long Island New York back in the 60’s and had a girlfriend who told me she was a Scientologist, dumb nuts me was thinking she was some kind of scientist

. My story is that one night I asked her if she would like to go to the movies and she said yes, so I said pick a movie and we will go.
She calls me back and says there is a movie in my home town so lets go there, I said what movie, and I swear she said The Man who would be King but it turned out to be Martin Luther King, we were the only white people in the movie hall, never been so scared in all my life, lucky to get out alive.
I listen to the radio a lot as I do a lot of driving and what I hear mostly is that MLK= Socialism. Not my opinion just what I hear a lot.
